Ive been taking my dogs & cats to Dr. Bongers for the last 8 years. I was with my previous vet from 86-2006. Hands down Dr. B. is one of the kindest most gentlest animal care doctors around. I trust him & his staff completely & have never had an unfriendly or uncaring visit with anyone there. Dr. B. goes out of his way to care for each of our critters, giving them the best of care at a great cost. He seeks ways to find the gentlest of care for the patient that would cause the least degree of discomfort to the animal & our wallet. He has personally called us with condolences when we lost one of our pets to a sudden illness, his staff calls with updates on our pets if they have to stay overnight. Sympathy cards signed by all the staff, hugs & kind words from everyone as they know our fur babies arent just pets. From appointment reminder calls, to last minute visits being accommodated, to follow up calls & cards. Him & his staff are a great bunch! I personally have never experienced an issue & I have recommendations office to ,my family, in-laws & several friends; all who have thanked me for it & reported great experiences with him & the staff.

I have used Doctor Bongers for over 10 years. He was compassionate when my 11 year old dog died and I feel he did his best to save him. I took my new puppy of 1 year to him and I still love his manner and heart. However, his wife is now running the front office and she is not so compassionate. I had a problem with my credit card and needed to get it straightened out and told her I would have to come back. She said her policy was that payment had to be made before I left the office. I have given that office thousands of dollars in business and never a problem paying. I felt totally embarrassed and humiliated by her attitude. I finally just had to walk out without paying and went home and told my husband what happened. He immediately went there and gave her the $150.00 in cash. I went in to get flea meds for my dog and cat and she told me that my account was closed and I was not welcome anymore! Thee are many Vets in the area just as good and I will find a new one. However, I am still sorry that it has come to this. Obviously Dr. Bongers has no say in how she runs the office. Too Bad.

Had an emergency with our pet over a weekend. Had to take him to an emergency animal hospital and spent just under $1,000 in two days with not much reassurance. First thing Monday morning I called our regular vet, Collins Animal Hospital and was told to bring him right in. The staff was super concerned and very friendly. Dr Bongers examined our pet and diagnosed his problem immediately and told us what he would like to do to treat him. He was very reassuring and calming. We left our pet with him. His staff called us in the afternoon to update us on his condition and told us he would like to keep him over night. The next morning we got another update call. All were very caring and concerned. We picked him up later in the day and spoke with Dr. Bongers for care instructions before we left. We were very surprised to see how reasonable his fees were. We are thoroughly pleased with the the way we were treated. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Collins Animal Hospital and Dr. Bongers.

I completely trust both my dogs care to Dr. Bongers. He always comes up with the best plan for your animals and he is respectful of your budget as well. My dog needed surgery on both his ears a couple years apart. Our first vet in Suntree charged us for multiple visits before finally doing a procedure that was messy and caused his ear to shrivel. Dr. Bongers made sure that we only paid for one office visit and did a different procedure that was much more effective and restored the ear entirely. Later when our dog needed maintenance shots Dr. Bonger made his assistant available in the mornings that we wanted to come in so that we only had to pay for the actual medicine. He is incredible and I would recommend his practice to anyone.

There was a change in the front office help. What a mistake. The Doctors wife Mrs Bonger took over the office and appointments. She is rude and unprofessional. Dr. Bonger is a great vet but I need to either get appointments when she isnt there or find another vet. I was late for an appointment, by 20 minutes and NORMALLY, they squeeze you in (for just a check up). The vet tech asked the doctor and he said "No Problem". "Mrs Bonger" refused to let us be seen, "extra paper work at the end of the day for the doctor" was her excuse; which he would have had to do if we were on time. So what was the big deal? "Mrs Bonger" was flexing her muscles because the vet tech went over her head to the doctor. Hate dealing wtih her.

hands down the best vet in bevard. A kindred spirit for your animal. I like to think of him as the Cesar Milan of Internal Medicine. While I lost my dog to the devastation of Parvo, Dr. Bongers made a valiant attempt to save my beautiful pups life, even taking her home with him for her final evening. Words can not express the respect I have!! Above and Beyond even when faced with a disease that is more often than not a losing battle. You should not hesitate to trust this man. Dont even think about the staff, its vet vet vet. What good is an angelic staff if the vet cant step up to the plate?******************* If you want the best for your pets insides, go see Hank!

Dr. Bongers is an AWESOME, vet. He helped me and my now Ex with our Boston Terrier Spanky whom had a rare disease. He was always there for us and even gave us a payment plan and his personal cell #, I had a new puppy and he helped her as well. We went through a divorce and $ was VERY tight so Luna did not go to the vet for a long time. I tried to make a new appt to get her up to date now that I am back on my feet, his HORRIBLE HORRIBLE and RUDE wife is why I will NO longer go back. She told me I dont take of my dog and that no open appts for a month, really????? I was appalled and now really need Bongers vet help and refuse due to his wife. She is HORRIBLE.

My doggie could not walk when she woke up, she was being slow the day before but drinking water and being with me on the couch. She did jump down herself so I knew it was not pain, but did not seem to be able to move when I took her outside and she looked swollen. I called the office at 8am and the wife of the Doctor said no appointments for 2 weeks. Not even emergencies. I know why, we had our shots done cheaper and faxed the copy to them. This is their way of getting back. We have been with them for over 12 years, This is so wrong. May God Bless the Doctor and have him have a talk with evil wife.
