This is by far the sketchiest vet Ive ever taken any of my pets to. Im not sure why there are any positive reviews, because anyone who actually cares about their pet would not take them here. Ponte, who you will be lucky even to see for 2 seconds, reeks of shyster. He talks fast, and leaves the room even faster, and tries to get you for extra charges. He told us our dog needed extra bloodwork because the levels were "strange". Of course we did it ($55? later), and what do ya know, nothing is wrong, and a very vague explanation of what the problem could be (clearly because there is no problem). Then they try and get you to buy all these extra products. If you look on Yelp you will see more accurate reviews. Theres quite honestly much more that can be said about what all transpired, but for the sake of not giving too much information away, all I can say is STAY AWAY. They are not as cheap as advertised, and they definitely DO NOT care about you or your pet(s). This includes all of the staff - they are merely an extension of Ponte himself.

Went to have my dog neutered. Staff was very pleasant but was quoted a price when I called. When I arrived they asked me if I wanted all these add ons like various blood work for safety, and other tests. Antibiotics and pain medicine when taking home was going to be extra as well. In total they tried to up-sell at least 10 different items by saying you did not have to have them but to be safe trying to make you feel bad for your pet if you did not. The cost in essence tripled from what was quoted. I was also going to have a microchip put in my dog at same time. Fee was standard $35. but they also wanted $18.95 to register chip for me. All that is required is to go online and put in name and contact information along with chip number. Again just another example of what I feel was very misleading and dishonest. Took my dog to another vet who was upfront on all the costs and what was necessary.

This man is HORRENDOUS!!!!!! I have never felt like I was being was dealing with a drug pusher until him! Yes, he pushes puppy pills. I think he was listening to the receptionist on her phone. Every word she was saying to me and if she said something wrong, he would make her pick up the phone and correct her. I could see it on her face, she was horrified. Not to mention she couldnt get a word out edgewise. I felt horrible for her. She didnt like what he was doing to her I could tell but, she was under surveillance. I know that because they made a point to tell another client once before when he was "acting out". This place is out of control. I will never return with my dog. I will also spread the word. This place will never see the strip side of my credit card again. Dr. Ponte, you look like BEEKER with that dam necklace you wear!

Very bad communication, dishonest and misleading. Made an appointment. To have my dog spayed and was quoted $85.00. Waited two weeks for this appt. The day before her appt. they call for shot records......I send everything over and they start questioning her heart worm tests. I told them she is on medication has been since she was 9 weeks old but tests are not required until 6 mos. old. They want another 35.00 for heart worm test. Ok fine. We bring her in, go into the office and they say..........lets go over your charges?????!!!!!!! This charge which was to total 120.00 doubled to 240.00. NOT INCLUDING the heart worm test or pain meds!!!!???? Needless to say we took our dog home. They have a lot of nerve. Very disgusted. If you choose to use them I recommend you get it all in writing before going.

I was taking my two dogs to get their yearly shots here and one of my dogs got a bad cough a day later from the shots (Rabies and DA2PP). These dogs have never been seriously sick or even coughed like this in 12 years. They both have a heart mumur and that is the first thing they blame, so basically this is one of those bad person tactics to get more money from dog owners(I have a better word in my mind for these kind of people). They are nice as long as they are getting your money and there is chance to put you through a lot of tests that costs in the 1000$s, pretty much the same as most hospitals for people. I would love to get my dogs healed, but I just dont have that kind of money. It just sorely disappoints me that these people go to the easiest thing to blame. I WOULD NOT go here again.

Ive been going to this vet for about 2 years. I would give it higher stars but theres stuff I still dont like about this place. 1st: They ALWAYS try to push you into getting unnecessary things (Like Medication and test) I always have to be grounded with this because if not Ill probably come out spending 1,000 on all 7 of my pets. 2nd: If you dont get these medicines or do the test; they try to make you look like a bad pet owner. And 3rd: I give the staff 5 stars, but I never see the male vet always the lady and shes very nice and informative. The new receptionist is a HUGE a-hole to me though, always rude, like she doesnt want to give me the time of day. Everyone else is very nice and friendly though and my Dalmatian loves her vet visits because they knock her up on treats.

They removed warts from my Bichon and were very caring and careful with her. The veterinarian did a good job but assistance did not give me the right hood for her head to eliminate chewing while they are coming out of being drugged.so had some issues with serious bleeding during the night And had to take bichon back next morning for some corrective work and staples.. they did follow up on her later in the week. Worth the trip to get the proper care for our pets. The vet was very good and office staff very kind. They handled the entire situation very professionally.

Took our cat here when she presented with several symptoms that had gone on for several days. Vet did a quick exam and said she presented fine to him, but rattled of a list of tests his staff could take blood for. He offered no education, no help, no comfort or guidance and would offer no explanation of what the tests would confirm or rule out in regards to our cats symptoms. Basically a wasted visit, wasted money and we left with no answers. Very unpleased with Sarno Animal Hospital, and would not recommend or return.

I was reffered to Sarno animal by a friend of mine to have my cat neutered and his shots done.I dont think I have ever had a BETTER experience with any other vet.The staff was AWESOME!! They were so attentive and caring to my cat,Tiki. They also have prices that cannot be beat.Im even considering taking my 2 dogs there instead of where I usually take them.I honestly dont have enough good things to say about them and I SO appreciate everything they have done for my little man!! <3
