This is an agency so they treat you like a number. In the 2 years I have been coming here they lost 2 doctors. It seems they cant keep good staff. Now suddenly after years of taking my medications they decide that I need to stop taking one, so the Brand NEW Dr. who has spend only 5 minutes with me tells me he is cutting me off and that I need to just cope with my anxiety. He was rude, and even accused me of abusing my meds. When I became reactive and began crying and having a panic attack he Threatened me with baker acting me. Instead of handing me ANY information that I could read to understand why he was making such a drastic change.. He verbally repeated himself over my sobs. I could not process what he was saying because I was so distraught.. and so he says that I am already suffering from short term memory loss because of my medication. THEN he begins to offer a NEW medication that I should consider?! .. Sounds like the new big pharma just romanced the agency and they are phasing out something so they can push new drugs.. Which by they way will make me the test dummy. I am so freaked out by this. Everything was going well with my current meds.. I have little to no side effects with this particular med.. so why mess with it? I left the office feeling defeated and abused. My boyfriend who was in the waiting room could hear me during my visit.. and just as we were leaving there was a cop car and and an abulance pulling into the lot.. I believe if I did not pull myself together I would have been baker acted. People if you can find another place .. DO IT. Avoid this place. They are totally in it for the money and do not care about you at all. I am reporting this doctor to the board and the state.

When I was first baker acted there, I had to wait in the office for six hours until a nurse brought me back to the unit. I do have to say some of the people I met who worked there were very very sweet, but I felt like everyone wasnt listening, and quite frankly just trying to steal money out of our pockets rather than giving us the "help" we apparently need. The doctor who I will not name, did not listen to me what so ever. The only nurse who I felt truly cared was Nurse Karen. She is a lovely lady. Being in the unit, I did not feel "safe", but I actually felt like I was in jail. When you are in the unit, you have no privacy only in the bathroom (except if youre on Line of Vision). I do NOT recommend bringing your child there. You are better off getting private therapy than bringing then to DLC. Instead of making you feel better, it made me feel even worse than I was before.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNDERQUAILIFIED I would never EVER recommend this place of buisness and apparantly either would other therapy facilities as that is what I was told by a few places when i immediately sought out a better place. An employee underminded my authority infront of my child, during our 1st session Sue White brought in her next patient while my son and I was still in the room, she turned the lights off on him and left without giving him a chance to put his shoes on. No one ever asked about his history so how can they give a proper treatment plan without knowing all the facts? I called the superviser and never received a call back! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Go to Elite DNA, they are much better or Conscious choices.

This facility and the Naples Police Department seem to have a conflict of interest "financial benefit" relationship where they will arrest you and FORCE you here. The "care" here is imprisoning you for several weeks to months and then billing you by the thousands when you are released. Medicare which I have, does NOT approve this facility treating people with mental health and only Medicaid does apparently not realizing they are a health insurance fraud facility. I am off all their prescribed medications after trying all natural supplementation and much better, thank God. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. YOU WILL BE A PHARMACEUTICAL CORP. GUINEA PIG AND A MENTALLY DISTURBED DRUG ADDICT AFTERWARDS I DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!

I found this place to be very unwelcoming and unprofessional. The reception area is vintage Motor Vehicle Dept 1964. The receptionist was largely incompetent, indiscreet and unhelpful. The intake coordinator was highly competent. The therapist (who I will not name) spent 90% of the time time talking and not listening. He used a lot of foul language. The psychiatrist was very good. I left several messages and none was apparently ever delivered as they were not returned. A second therapist kept me waiting > 35 minutes; I had to leave. This second therapist was supposed to call me back and never did. I think Im worse off that when I first walked in the door.

This place is unbelievable. I have been dealing with David lawrence for 5 years since I was 13. I still havent been correctly diagnosed, have been given every FDA approved SSRI, 2 SNRIs, and an antipsychotic. Two days ago I went to see a ARNP and she gave me 150 MG of an SNRI. I have been having convulsions for two days, havent eaten, and had a hallucination. Ive only taken this pill once and Im still having side effects two days after. The only reason Im still with DLC is because they take my insurance. Please do your research and do not go here unless absolutely needed in terms of crisis.

Hopefully you are doing your research. Most unfortunately there are extremely limited resources for this area of care. This is not a place anyone would pay to go to. Even if its free, ANY other place would be a better choice! The office is like you are going to a ticket sales booth. Unprofessional staff chatting it up behind the glass. I found them to be rude unfriendly, not at all empathetic, professional, or caring.

Stay away from this place!!!!!!! It will not help you. Seek elsewhere they will charge you thousands of dollars to give you medication they are getting kickbacks for that will make you sick!!!!! Stay away !!!!

Horrific shithole with staff who cant tell their thumb from their forefinger. Avoid at all costs, this is most definitely a profit seeking facility despite what they claim.
