I would like to take this opportunity to express my sympathies for those who have had the VA treat them like prisoners/dogs or worse (I fought for my country for 8 years, and my fellow veterans and I are subjected to deplorable medical care which should be illegal). There is a psychiatrist at this facility who I will not mention by name who is unable to deal with those with a mental illness or a mood disorder. Yes, you read that correctly; he is a PSYCHIATRIST who cannot tolerate mentally ill patients that need their help. Also, this particular shrink decided I was still on active duty and that he could raise his voice at me and make threatening postures. Does this individual really need to be working as a psychiatrist? Or even in the medical field? ESPECIALLY for the VA? He also likes to prescribe medication in which the side effects are worse than the condition itself, then become angry because the medication caused a side effect. In addition, he took me off a moderate dosage of chronic use of benzodiazepines for panic attacks, which can be fatal if stopped immediately. Dr. C did not seem to care a bit whether this resulted in my death. Thank you, doctor, I appreciate it. And you wonder why veterans are hesitant to go to the VA for treatment? This doctor needs a mood stabilizer or some therapy of his own.

Terrible experience. Swarthy, arrogant, foreign-born doctor who speaks down to you and does not listen. The doctor there actually started taking my shirt off during an exam! I had to stop him and explain to him that I can take my own shirt off if he needed to listen to my heart/lungs. He got very offended at me defending myself and NOT allowing him to molest me! Talk about a lack of professionalism and respect for your patients! The doctor at this clinic is your typical, substandard foreign-born doctor to whom English is a second language. How could anyone expect this creepy "doctor" to be competent when he got his medical education from a diploma mill in Pakistan!

If I could give negative stars, I would. My husband was at the South Lake ER with STAT orders for additional testing. 3 DAYS and 6 different stories later, he was finally told to go to Lake Nona E.R. That would have been helpful 3 days ago. This office was unhelpful and the one lady up front is rude. Maybe you guys can get your heads out of your asses and get on the same page when it comes to referrals and emergencies. Remember, not everyone works for the VA and understands the process. Have a little bit more compassion and empathy.

This clinic is wonderful. I dont understand the negative comments. The front desk staff (Judy, Danny and Guy) are always courteous. They remember me, not my last 4. The medical staff leaves nothing to be desired except more of them. It is hard to get appointments because of lack of doctors. My ONLY complaint is that I wish the POWERS THAT BE provide a shuttle bus to Lake Nona. Oh, and coffee.

Everyone was friendly, checking in and out was a breeze. The nurse Amy was very thorough and polite. She covered available programs I didnt even know about. The Doctor really cared and she made sure everything was covered ,even though I was a mess health wise at the time. Everything was done in a timely manner, even the blood work was fast. I am so glad I transferred here from Lake Baldwin.

The last VA I visited was a nightmare. I repeatedly refused dozens of vaccination because they get points on every injection they give you. The doctor became so frustrated with me that she threatened to shoot me in front of my wife. I reported her to everyone and all I got was an apology letter in the mail.

I agree this clinic is a look and release with no follow ups and cannot follow through with ordering work to be done in Orlando. You come to clinic.....sit done watch DRs. type stuff.....no conversations or questions....and they tell you to come back in six months to do it again. Great Job!!!!!!!!!!

This always provides me with excellent care. More importantly, no mapping website gets the correct location. From this location, continue north all the way around this street. Its in a group of brown buildings on the right side just before the light.

This place is terrible. My fellow veterans should not be treated like we are bothering this location for medical help. I gave up on this place and go to Lake Baldwin VA. Sad that most VA locations treat us like garbage.

This clinic is a look and release. No followup, no referrals and absolutely no COMMUNICATION with the patient. They rush you out even if you have to discuss more with them.
