We moved to Ocala from South Florida four years ago and were so apprehensive about finding good doctors here. We were recommended to Melissa Lozano and havent looked back since. Melissa takes the time to listen to our questions, thoroughly explains recommendations and encourages us to be involved in our own health care decisions. Melissa and the team at Family Care Specialists work in unison to provide patient care at its best. Family Care Specialists also has an online patient portal, for non-emergency use, where you can retrieve your lab results, send messages to your doctor or simply ask a question. Answers are usually within the same business day. We highly recommend Melissa Lozano to anyone looking for a good and caring family physician. Lois & Harry Booth

I was a total train wreck when I first saw Dr. Kaul. My sugars were astronomical, and I had a suspicious breast lump. Not only was she professional, and non-judgemental, but she went right to work at "fixing" me. The easy things were taken care of right away. My sugars are normal, my cholesterol is heading in the right direction and I have been referred to the specialists who will help me with this breast situation. I have been seen in a same-day appointment when needed, and her attitude, and that of her staff, is always positive. She is a great doctor whose staff love their jobs and it shows. Dont take a chance on getting a great doctor. Go for a sure thing with Dr. Kaul. Shes a true GEM!

Having relocated 11 times in 21 years, and having several health issues, I have seen a lot of doctors over the years. Dr. Kaul is by far the best that I have seen! I am impressed with her knowledge and professionalism, but also with her willingness to really listen to and interact with her patient. Her friendly manner takes so much of the stress out of "having to go to the doctor". Every staff member that I have dealt with in this practice has been friendly and helpful and calls are returned in a timely fashion. Being in Dr. Kauls care gives me confidence that I am in good hands!

I have been searching for a doctor who made me feel comfortable and not pressured...who listened to me...and respected me. I have found that in Dr. Nidhi Kaul. She is well-educated and spends time with you. The staff is pleasant and courteous to you. The office itself is clean, tidy, comfortable with a waiting room that offers coffee, hand sanitizer, mouth covers, and information. The wait was the shortest Ive ever experienced. Everyone was on time. I am driving from another county to go to this doctor because I have finally found one who is good and who cares.

Dr. Umana is an excellent old school doctor. My wife and I have been seeing him for about a year now and the experience has been excellent. The entire staff that we have dealt with has always gone above and beyond what was necessary and are all concerned with your well being and getting you the best care and service possible. He is easy to talk to and explains things so you can understand them. He always seems to stay on the cutting edge and the referrals to specialists have also been the best. I live in On Top Of The World so the location is wonderful. Melissa Lozano was highly recommended and I couldnt be more pleased. We just moved to Ocala in December and I needed all new physicians. Within 24 hours of my first visit with Melissa, I received calls from the referring physicians to make appointments. That is impressive. Im looking forward to a long relationship with Family Care Specialists. The staff was friendly and courteous. I also liked the fact that my blood work and shots can be done at the same location.

I was a patient here a few years ago with Dr. DeAngelo, until he retired. I do sorely miss him. Due to the American healthcare debacle I had to change facilities and was unable to keep FCS as my provider. Now Im back! Melissa is my ARNP and Annie is her assistant. They are wonderful, caring, friendly, and professionally humorous. I love my visits and they take great care of me. All the staff in the office are great and treat you like "family". I have been seeing Dr. Umana for at least 6 yrs. As a nurse I think I can appreciate the services of his office in a way that many patients cannot. Besides being very friendly, his staff is courteous and very helpful and professional. Dr. Umana is thorough, takes time to listen. Whether routine labs or requests for special referrals, medical documentation, etc., the followup is prompt. I also enjoy the availability of online access to my medical records, with labs, recommendations etc.

We have been going to Family Care Specialist for 6 years now. We see Melissa Lozano, ARNP. She is very thorough with her examines. Melissa found my husbands throat cancer. Your calls are always returned. Everyone in the office is friendly and kind. Melissa has no problem referring you on to a specialist if need be. The Care Center can do your blood work right there if any is required. We have been very happy there. We live in Stone Creek so their location is also a plus.

Coming from another state we werent sure about the care we would get here in Ocala. Dr Kaul put us at ease immediately and the care we have received is amazing. Dr. Kaul is an excellent physician, knowledgeable and actually listens to you instead of like other doctors that say "Uh-huh" and then proceed to do exactly as they want. She is friendly and remembers you from your previous visits. I would wait hours in order to see her over other doctors, but the wait times are usually very minimal. Both myself and my wife like her very much.
