I would just like to inform any and everyone to never take their pet to The Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida especially the one located at the (Waterford Lakes Location) 1101 Lake Underhill Road Orlando FL, 32835. One of my dogs recently had to have a (Cystotomy) or bladder stone removal surgery. The SPCA suggested that I wait another month for an appointment and I knew this couldn’t wait any longer, so I drove from Altamonte Springs to the East Side of Orlando to this location and was given a price quote for the low end of 1668.00 and the high price of 2209.55. I declined these offers and they then offered to do something for my dog that was only temporary and it would have still costed 700.00 at a minimum. Mind you, I did first try the location in South Orlando at 2080 Principal Row Orlando FL, 32837 which turned me away because they had a two hour wait because of an emergency and drove to the Waterford Lakes location. I came up with 1100.00 to pretty much save my dogs life and they still would not do anything for him. So, I then asked questions about if I could pay the 1100.00 and come back to get him and possibly came up short what would happen. They advised they would get the cops involved which to me was a threat because I am an African American woman. So, I called around to another Emergency Pet Hospital Located at 8742 White Road Orlando FL, 32818 who advised me that they would only charge me 1500.00 in and out the door per no complications so I chose to go to them, which was so amazing and understanding of me having a financial restraint and the surgery was done right away and there were no complications which the Central Florida Vet suggested there could possibly be. Before I left the (Waterford Lakes Location) they asked me to relinquish my rights to my dog and I had to sign papers saying that I would decline their services. At the end, I did get the surgery done for my dog and Monday morning I got a knock on the door from animal services because the services that I declined at The Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida located at (Waterford Lakes Location) 1101 Lake Underhill Road Orlando FL, 32835. I advised the animal service representative by showing him a receipt and the 15 bladder stones that were taken out of my pet that were in a bag, for them to close the case against me for animal cruelty. So, I want to make everyone aware that this is not the place to go for their pet especially if you are of the African American race. They intimidated me and threatened because I didn’t use their services for my pet. My dogs are well kept and groomed and shots are always kept up on. I only was trying to save the life of a very loving dog.

Nothing that I type here will begin to do justice to how incredible each and every person working at the South Orlando location (and I am certain the other locations, as well!) have been to me and my loved ones over the past couple of months. An emergency vet is, for pet owners, the last place you truly want to visit, but when I am forced to do so, I am so thankful they are there and people are dedicating their lives and their time to help others in this way. Over the past three months, both of my cats have had to visit for different reasons. Sadly, one of the last two visits resulted in having to put one of my two amazing cats to sleep due to a wide variety of reasons but, most importantly, quality of life in the long run. I am just thankful that I got 13 incredible years with him. During these visits, each and every person working there has been nothing short of incredible, compassionate, and understanding. The location itself is large and accommodating and as soon as you walk in with a sick or injured pet, they immediately jump to action to get the process started. Not once have I ever felt not cared for or ignored. I have recommended them now to everyone I know, and while I hope no one will actually have to visit them, if that time comes when you do, please do not hesitate to take your pets there. They truly do care, and no matter what happens during your visit or the outcome, both good or bad, you will know that everyone that could be done as done and all options that they could give you were given. I now have them pre-programmed into my car’s GPS in case I need to head there in the future, and I recommend everyone do the same. I cannot recommend them enough for those times that you are unable to get your pet to his or her regular vet. HIGHLY recommended.

We took my dying dog here, and the staff was very courteous that night. The girl who was taking care of the payment debited my account $333 dollars which is what the Veterinary Emergency Clinic.Overall I was satisfied with the services. A week later, Ive got the ashes and to my surprise my dogs ashes were put in a wrong urn the one that is $150 and the paw print was not captured. So what I have now is a wrong urn, and not paw print. So now I have to deal with the lost of my dog who was with me for 14 years and also the aggravation that this hospital has caused me and my family. Ive spoken to several members of the hospital, the receptionist who obviously has nothing to do with these matter was polite and somewhat caring; however, everyone else turned out to be so rude. The veterinarian in charge Jennifer on August 30th was extremely rude. She told me that there is nothing she could do and then hung up the phone on me. Caroline who oversees these three location in Florida had not clue of anything and spent most of the time making assumptions about the reasons of the mistake and without a definitive answer. She was also very argumentative and without little remorse of what had occurred. I will be definitely seeking legal action against this company. I will be definitely reporting this company to Best business bureau and to all social network I have knowledge of. So my advice to you is to find for alternative to this hospital/clinic.After 2 1/2 months without an urn or communication from them, I took them to court where they made an offer during mediation, so it won t reach to the Judge. Worst experience ever with a business!

I just had to take my 7-year-old Manx kitty there in the middle of the night. While the outcome was far from pleasant, they gave the most loving care and comfort to my sweet angel. Because of my babys condition I had to have her put to sleep. They were kind and caring during the experience, offering me as much time with my baby as I needed and offering to hold off until I could see about getting my daughter there for our babys last moments. They thoroughly explained everything: my babys condition, prognosis with/without treatment, what they would do in the situation if it was their baby (because I asked), and what to expect with euthanasia (what I ultimately chose to do). Upon my arrival, they immediately took my baby back and began examining her and providing what care they could. This was done before any paperwork was even mentioned or brought out, and payment wasnt even discussed until everything was completed. There was a sense of urgency and utmost care for my baby. At the end of the examination report (which I received a copy of before leaving) was, "I am so sorry for your loss of Tenshi. She was such a sweet cat." Not that I want to have to go through this again, but if I am faced with an emergency involving either of my other two kitties, I will definitely bring them to the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida (located on Principal Row). Thank you to Lori Tilley and her staff for providing such gentle and loving care to my angel!
