I have been working in healthcare for 33 years. I can say this is one of the worst places to experience fear selling and up selling services. I have very good teeth, as they have told me on each and every visit, my entire life. BUT, at Suncoast Dentistry I always need something else. Many times before the doctor even enters the room. This is not some rogue hygienist selling additional services, since they all have tried to create a fear as to my pending dental issues. In this last event color was placed on my teeth and I was told to have deep plaque under my gums, and that I would be in pain very soon if I did not get this taken care of. The last deep cleaning I needed (they said one and a half years ago) I would need antibiotics to be inserted into my gums. The antibiotics needed to be ordered. Ordered and they inserted 25% into my gums and told me they would hold the remaining 75% for me. They did the same with my wife. Today they could not remember the story so at first "no, we sent those back to the manufacturer" Then a few minutes later, "no those had expired so we threw them away". We I pushed the issue again the hygienist, " so do you have the antibiotics"!! In my opinion, you sold them to someone else. Since you dont know if you sent them back or you threw them away. Healthcare is hard enough. To have this blatant dishonesty is unacceptable. And while I am sure a few people have had good experiences, I can not extend any alcaldes to a "professional" medical practice that directs their staff in this manner. You have a oath and it states nothing about money in that oath.

I went to Dr. Vu for a routine cleaning and was informed that I needed some old silver filings replaced. I was having no problems prior to my visit. Dr. Vu replaced an upper and lower filling. I noticed that the teeth that he worked on were cold sensitive from the time I left his office. As the day went on I started to have throbbing in my jaw. Two weeks later the pain had gotten so bad that I had to return to his office. They did x-rays and said there was nothing wrong, but he prescribed me an antibiotic. It has been almost three weeks and the pain has only increased. I called the office again today and was informed that I probably need a root canal on those two teeth. Again I had no pain/problems until he replaced my fillings. I feel completely ripped off and wish I had never taken his recommendation to have the fillings replaced. I’m picking up my x-rays today and I will be seeing another dentist. I don’t recommend this dentist office. I’m extremely disappointed.

I have been going to Dr Vus office for over 3 years now. Very friendly staff every time Im there. Everyone is personable and positive. Hygienist is thorough and friendly. Never too rough. Never pushy with sales. Dr. Vu is great. He stands behind his work. He repaired a filing that was damaged after being placed over a year before without charge. Also, very pleasant and caring. Office is efficient. I never wait for long to be seen. My favorite part is that I never feeling like I am being given a sales pitch or pushed to do something that really isnt beneficial. For example, I had a tooth that chipped and a piece of a filing broke. Dr. Vu offered to fill it again to save the cost of a crown, but clearly explained the pros and cons of crown vs a filing so that I could make an informed decision (with finances in mind). Its nice to have a dentist office that I like and trust after years of bouncing around to many less than reputable corporate chains.

i switched to dr. vu this year (feb 2017) and have been thoroughly satisfied w my decision. initially, i was intending to start w my dental cleaning but as i researched in jan my molar sheared thus necessitating a crown ! dr. vu performed the crown exceptionally - no issues, no pain - the mouth is back to normal. ive now had my cleaning and mona was wonderful - diligently worked to get all the tartar buildup with minimal to no discomfort. highly recommend this location - its wide & airy - inviting, friendly staff and dr. vu has a great system - managing all his patients needs. youre not a number - youre treated individually - given plenty of attention. make the switch today !

I have been a patient of Dr. Vu for several years and have always been happy with the service received. Dr. Vu is an excellent dentist as well as being very personable and willing to listen. I have had my teeth cleaned by several dental hygienists and they were all very professional. One of the best things about Dr. Vu is that he doesnt try to sell you all sorts of expensive treatments that arent strictly necessary. I have often been frustrated by other dentists that after an initial evaluation present you with their personal wishlist of treatments instead of telling you honestly what you actually need vs. optional treatments.

I definitely like Dr. Vu. Hes a young version of the dentist Ive seen for the past fifteen years. He said my teeth and fillings are in great shape. However, we just moved from SC where I saw a hygienist three times per year for cleaning and my dentist twice per year for an exam and x-ray review. Had my x-rays sent to Suncoast Dentistry. The hygienist here said I needed a "deep" cleaning because there was plaque below the gum line and it would do damage if not removed. It was a tiny dot on the x-ray that had been there for years and never been mentioned before. I just got the regular cleaning.

When I arrived for my first appointment I was greeted with a smile which gave me a feel of a very friendly atmosphere. I was very impressed with all the people that I met that day and all were very professional, helpful, and courteous. I was also very impressed with the doctor and his assistant. They made it seem so easy to understand the process and what they were going to do. The whole operation seem very well organized and very efficient. I was very impressed!

I was extremely impressed with Dr. Vu and his staff. I was told by another dentist that I needed a lot of work done because a crown had come off. Dr. Vu cemented it back on and said he could not find any other problems. In a world where some dental work is done unnecessarily, I so appreciated his honesty. Each time I go to him I feel I am getting an honest evaluation. Dr. Vu is very trustworthy and the staff is very friendly but professional.

I have been very pleased with Suncoast Dentistry. After going to several dentists since moving to Florida I finally found one that is really good. Dr. Vu is so nice and patient and caring with you. His dental assistants are lovely and friendly as are the front desk girls. Stephanie who cleans my teeth is very good and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Suncoast Dentistry.

Great Experience - Great People. Always a friendly welcome at the desk, which is lacking at almost all doctors offices. The Dental Hygienist is friendly, helpful, efficient and competent. Finally, the Doctor knows his stuff and provides expert care in a respectful and friendly manner. My teeth look and feel great thanks to the Suncoast Dentistry Team!
