I have been in and out of a couple different ERs in palm beach county, that I wont list here, that have treated me like a number, left me feeling neglected and untreated and have had zero follow up. For over a year now I have been struggling with chronic ear infections. I have even been seeing an ENT for it who came highly recommended. For 13 months, swabs and tests were taken and I was treated 9 times for the same thing, because it never really went away. In July of 2017 my husband and I relocated to Stuart. After a night of the same ear pains again, we went to the Stuart Memorial ER. I cant not express enough the kindness, patience and thoroughness of every single staff member we encountered. We came in the wrong door for the ER (entered upstairs) but the security guard there greeted us kindly, checked us in with our IDs, gave us name tags and personally escorted us down to the ER. He was so incredibly kind and even managed to make me laugh, despite my considerable pain. Once in the ER the young woman who checked us in was incredibly professional, soft spoken, thorough and polite. The nurses we met were the most professional and kind nurses Ive ever had, everyone seemed like they sincerely cared about me and my condition. The doctor really blew me away. He and the nursing staff spent time trying to track down what medication Id had for this in the past by contacting pharmacies and such because I was so ill I couldnt remember a thing. Once they found the drops I needed they called them in for me. He then took a swab of my ear and sent it to their lab. Two weeks later one of their nurses, Tristan, called me personally and told me my results. They were fairly serious and I needed to get into an ENT (a new one) Immidiately for a long and tedious treatment that was even slightly dangerous and would require monitoring. They had discovered what kind of infection I had by running a test NOT A SINGLE DOCTOR I HAD SEEN IN 13 MONTHS HAD RAN. They found the source of my reoccurring issue and even recommended a course of treatment and a follow up physician. She then went out of her way to find me an ENT that accepted my insurance, was closer to where I now lived in Stuart and came highly recommended. Another nurse, I believe her name was Rachel, also called to insure that I had the new ENT information and to see how I was progressing. I called the newly recommended ENT and they were able to get me in the very next day. From start to finish, this staff made me feel like I was literally a family member. They treated me with so much respect and dignity and went above and beyond medically and professionally. Theres no other ER I would recommend in Martin or palm beach county that could beat the service I received there. Beyond pleased!

THIS IS NOT MY FIRST NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH PROCEDURES AND THIS HEALTH SYSTEM. The nurses are great in the hospital and so are the doctors if you see them OUTSIDE OF THE HOSPITAL. Recently, I was being treated at the hospital in Tradition. While there, I had bone marrow removed for a biopsy in which I waited 4 to 5 more days in the hospital for a result because they said that the result would conclude that I either have cancer or I do not have cancer. This is obviously a very important subject. I was released on May 31st and I have yet to receive any information. Ive called every office for every doctor that I had while there. After two hours of calling the different offices, I was told to call the hospital in Tradition. The most they could do was point me in the direction of MyChart, in which there was no information. Someone from MyChart called soon after my email and she was great. Unfortunately, none of the chart information showed any conclusive data, just that a procedure was done. While, I was in the hospital, I had 3 appointed doctors over a 6 day period. I saw 1 of those 3, 2 times over that entire course of my stay. Two weeks later, I still have no conclusive information after spending half of my day calling all of these different doctors and later being referred to the original hospital, in which I still received nothing. So yes, two weeks later, Im trying to still figure out whether or not that I have cancer because no doctor called me and I can get no answer from any office. So at this point, what in the hell am I supposed to do? What if I have cancer and I cant even get any information about it since no results are on MyChart and none of these doctors or hospitals can give me an actual result

My daughter was admitted to Martin North with Intractable pain, following spinal surgery in Miami. The initial ER physician was great and understood the issues he was facing. From there it went downhill, and fast. So many doctors involved that it looked to me like an opportunity for a round of physicians to get into the pocket of BC/BS. The only doctor who stepped up, and would actually speak to me was the pain management physician, Dr. DeBonet. No other doctor would answer this fathers questions. Nursing staff on 2 west was awesome though. Then the attending doctor took over case, never actually saw my daughter, disconnected her from IV pain meds, against Dr. DeBonets written orders, failed to write orders to have her transferred to HealthSouth Rehab as discussed with other providers, then abruptly discharged her with excruciating pain, unable to walk, and failed to put her name on her prescriptions, which stopped me from filling them for her pain control. Then the hospital failed to submit the pre-qualification to BlueCross for a special pain medication, which forced me to pay $ 600.00 in cash . Four (4) phone calls later to Case Manager, promises of a fix, and I am still left without the right paperwork to be reimbursed from BlueCross. Now a phone call to Hospital Management is being made to right at least one wrong, if that even happens, well see. Avoid this place like the plaque, wrought with physician negligence and mismanagement.

If you want to be treated like an animal your HIPAA rights to be violated and for the nurses and doctors to lie to cover their asses then go to Martin Memorial both North and South have treated me like I am was more of a prisoner than a patient. Beyond cruel totally sickening and no accountability for what they do to you. I was in a motor vehicle accident when I was taken to the emergency room the ER physician treated me like an animal leaving me in the hallway when I ask to be put in a room he told me if I didnt shut up he would force me to do test that was against the law. Ripping off a cervical collar that was on my neck . On my discharge papers he diagnosed me with a sprained neck and sprained lumbar spine . then lying on the CT scan reports . Charging $14,000. for the scans giving himself $1000 dollars. I left with a massive head injury that wasnt diagnosed serious concussion that took months for me to recover from. And a broken bone in my foot undiagnosed and untreated that took months to heal. Im in bleeding internally since the accident So if you dont care about your rights being violated or would like to pay for treatment that you didnt receive and you would dont mind the entire Hospital hearing your private business go to south or north thats exactly what youll get.
