The hospital would have gotten 5 stars from me if it werent for the jerk that "discharged me" or should I say dismissed me. The ER staff was excellent and so was every single nurse I came in contact with my entire visit. The reason I was ultimately disgusted with the hospital was because of the way I was treated by a physician. The ER doctor said they wanted to admit me to monitor me because my D-dimer levels were elevated and they were concerned cause I have a history of blood clots. They ran several tests to confirm I didnt have one. The next afternoon at about 12 a doctor walks in (I still dont know his name) He asks me "Who told u u had a blood clot the last time?" (In a tone that made me feel like he thought I was making it up). I explained that I was diagnosed in this hospital , and it was after I had my daughter in 2013. He said "well all the test we did came back negative u can go home after lunch" and walked out!! I was in shock....I still dont know why my levels are elevated, there was no make sure u follow up with your primary, he didnt say a word about my hemoglobin or potassium being low... I actually felt as though he was annoyed and his lazy ass didnt want to deal with a complicated case, or maybe my medicaid wasnt gonna pay him enough to care about my well being.... Whichever it is... He should NOT be working in a hospital where peoples lives are in his hands. Not a good look for Memorial. They will not be seeing me again. I would rather drive down to Miami.

Be wary of any facility associated with Memorial Hospital. Especially the "Urgent Care Center"! I went in to drain a blister on my toe and they sent in the claim as an emergency room visit! Although all indications (the building exterior, interior, and all paperwork) are that this is an urgent care center they said "well, the doctor is an emergency room doctor, so that is how we bill". Bait and switch if you ask me. I went in to the "Urgent Care Center" instead of "Emergency Room" for a reason! Luckily my insurance company agreed with me and paid for the outrageous emergency room cost. A week later, I received another bill! This time from "Memorial Hospital". The hospital claims that "you will receive a bill from the urgent care center AND also from the hospital". What??? So not only was this bill, unexpected and suspicious, but they also billed it incorrectly as "Automobile accident"! Keep in mind, I only went in to drain a blister on my toe! Now, I was being billed for and automobile accident! Once again, my insurance company saw the ridiculousness of this and dealt with the claim. All though the staff seems nice, the Memorial billing department seem incompetent. This is quite important, since this will only add stress and become a nightmare in addition to whatever reason you went in the the urgent care center in the first place. Stay away from this place!

I worked for 18 years in the radiology department at Baptist Hospital in Miami and for Florida Hospital in Orlando . When I ended up for emergency surgery at Memorial Hospital Pembroke at midnight, I was astonished to see how efficient and compassionate the staff was. I thought South Miami and Baptist were the top places in patient care, I was completely wrong!! The quality of service you receive here is just SUPERB!!. Its been 2 years since I was there and I still recommend this hospital to everyone in South Florida. My experience was AMAZING, from the very beginning. The staff is friendly, super respectful, the rooms are large, nice, modern, immaculate...and having worked in the medical field for so long, I know exactly how to tell if theyve been sanitize well. Your comfort is the staffs priority. You can actually sleep in your room with no noise coming from speakers, phones, personnel talking, etc. I havent figure out yet how they do that. I have to rate this place with a 5 star, well deserved!!.This hospital is nothing but a SECRET GEM!!

Posting review of urgent care here since Urgent Care reviews dont show up on Google+. The Urgent Care billing is deceptive because they tell you it is just a copay, and that is what your insurance says. However, later, they will send you a doctors bill, billed as an Emergency Room, for a much higher amount from InPhynet South Broward doctors. We paid $300 just for an ear infection, whereas any other urgent care would be $30. Plus, we even asked them about this and they told us there would be no extra bill. Service was fine there. Weve also been to their Emergency Room in Miramar and had good service; we also saw the Inphynet bills daily, though I believe that is expected. Just think this Urgent Care billing is rather deceptive. What I also find odd is that Google+ reviews exist for the urgent care, but those reviews dont show up when you search for the Urgent Care.

First off, I want to say this is the first surgery Ive ever had, let alone a stay in the hospital like the one I had. All I have to say is WOW!!!!! I have nooo complaints!!! Every staff member I came across was FANTASTIC!!! When I arrived on my surgery date, the young lady at check in walked me over to where I was supposed to be to get prepped for surgery.. SHE WALKED ME OVER!! That set up for a positive chain of events.. Every nurse I encountered was awesome!!! Everything was very clean.. They prepped me for my surgery in an area of the ER, and even the bathroom was clean. My surgeon Dr Ramiro Morales was awesome as well (obviously). I fell in love with Memorial West. I hope I dont need to lol, but if I ever have surgery again, I hope its here :) Keep up the good work Memorial West!!!

I was in admitted for heat exhaustion, severe body cramping. After two days of iv rehydration, I was being discharged. While in my room waiting to go home I started having severe burning pain in my abdomen, at first the nurse thought it was indigestion. Really?? After I complained long enough I was taken to get a CT. My colon had become perforated and fecal matter was accumulating in my abdominal cavity. Although I was pissed that they didnt seem to take me seriously at first, I owe my life to how they reacted once they knew what had happened. I needed to have colon resection and was in surgery IMMEDIATELY. I was told what the procedure entailed as I was on my way to the operating room. I woke up with a colostomy bag while my colon heals

OMG!!! The worst hospital experience ever. You will be lucky to get a room. The staff is like robots when it comes to dealing with people. Its like if you imagine one of those movies where a disastrous situations happened and they have a medical tent to deal with the wounded. Five hours in this place can be taxing physically because of the uncomfortable setup as well as mentally... You can wait up to 5hrs to be seen, and a additional 3 to 4 just to be released. Total time with the doctor, less than 5 minutes. I highly recommend not coming here if you have a family, job, or any obligations. You will not get out of this place at a realistic time. I promise...
