DO NOT GO HERE! 2.9 Star Average is being VERY generous. If I could give 0 stars I would. 1) They just want your money. They claim to contact insurance, but it is a lie.You will pay more than you really need to. My insurance is still investigating the charges that the office made incorrectly (not filing it through insurance first) and is fighting with their billing department. 2) Lack of communication and knowledge. I have been scheduled appointments for procedures that were incorrect time frames (ie. stitches removal). I dont understand why it is so complicated to communicate with doctors to get proper scheduling time frame. I have had to leave work early in order to make appointments where nothing has been done because the office has "made a mistake" But is it really a mistake when it is done repeatedly and continuously....

A friend recently purchased me a Jessner Chemical Peel as a gift. I was definitely nervous, since Ive never had one before, but I was happy that it was going to be performed at a dermatology office. I was well received as soon as I arrived. I only waited about 5 minutes. I saw Dr. Marcum within 5 minutes of being placed in the exam room. She was very pleasant and talked with me about the procedure and answered all of my questions. She even asked me about any other areas I have problems with, then wrote me a prescription for my acne. She was very attentive to my concerns. The peel itself wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Stung a little, but only lasted ten minutes. Im already seeing great results just 24 hours later. So pleased! All in all, I was in and out within 45 minutes. I will definitely be returning to this clinic!

Office staff is rude and lazy! Every time I get a new insurance company and need an authorization through the insurance company, the office staff NEVER calls the insurance company. Thankfully the pharmacy always follows up and keeps on them. Unfortunately, the receptionists who answer the phone at this doctors office lie constantly and say theyve already called the insurance company when they have not. When Ive asked to speak with the office manager they tell me shes not in for the day. I call back and another person tells me she is there but is busy. Been a patient for 12 years with this office and its time to find a dermatologist office with receptionist staff who are not lazy and do their jobs and dont hang up on patients and lie to them.

This place is the prefect example of whats wrong with our health care system. My wife has a severe latex allergy. If she smells it, she stops breathing. I called this office and they said that they do not use latex gloves. We get there and verify before the appointment, and they said again that they dont use latex gloves. We get to the patient room and see 3 boxes of latex gloves sitting there. They lied on the phone and to our faces. They did not care about our problem and let us walk out the door without a second thought. Additionally, from what we saw, the doctor barely spoke English and did not spend much time with each patient.

My first experience with AAD was better than I could have imagined. I visited the office for a out patient procedure which was my first time being treated in that manner. I was very nervous but both the attending nurse Lise and Dr. Marcum herself both did a wonderful job of allaying my fears. The procedure was quick, friendly and professional. I feel very fortunate that I was referred to this business and cant thank Dr. Marcum and Lise enough for the emotional comfort they provided even more so than the physical relief Im now enjoying.

Last year visit to the Academy they told me Laser specialist will call me to do the treatment after calling my insurance. They did not call me or my insurance. Yesterday I had the same story and told me the laser spicialist is in lunch time and he will call you. I told them he will not and that happened last year. They told me that he will call me for sure, but he didnt as usual. They do not respect the patients and they are not honest.

I made an appointment to see Dr. Vasiloudes at 9:30 AM for my 4 month old daughter who has eczema, waited for over 40 minutes and still could not see him! There was at least one person ahead of me (an older gentleman) who had had the same wait time. They kept telling him you are next and then they asked me to wait another 5 min. Waited another 5 min and then had them cancel and credit the copay. Chaotic office, do not visit.

I have been to dermatologists all across the country and this was the most disappointing medical experience I have had. The staff was rude. The doctor did not even look at my skin, just stood there and wrote perscriptions. When the perscriptions are not effective in treating the problem, the staff refused to make a follow up appointment or provide an alternate course of treatment. Go elsewhere!

This is a great dermatology practice in Tampa! Wait times are low, and they have a caring attitude about their patients. Dr. Zook is amazing and has taken great care of some skin cancer spots for my husband. In Florida, you cant be too careful with your skin and AAD is a wonderful office. Highly recommend!

Years of excellent service for our family. Regular exams and recently a surgical procedure for our 8yr old son. Awesome staff and skills. Very grateful for their dermatology team. Just a follow up - my son is 11 yrs old now and still doing great. No issues.
