After our fur baby Angel became seriously ill, we found ourselves at this Center. I absolutely love everyone here! We have been going to another location for many years, but when Angel became sick 3 months ago and bringing us forward to date, no-one at the "other" location seemed to be able to pinpoint the exact problem. When she ran out into the backyard and just "dropped" we feared the worst for our 5 yr. old dog. My husband googled Emergency Vets and this one came up. Bonus - its in our neighborhood! I called crying and barely able to speak. Erica said, take your time, I understand that this is difficult. She got us right in to see a Dr. From the moment we walked through the door everyone smiled and greeted us. Erica asked if I had any records with me and if not that they would call the other location, retrieve them and not to be worried about it. I checked in and was taken into a room without any wait. Lucia, one of the techs came in and was truly concerned about Angel, what her past and present entailed. She outlined everything I told her on paper for the Dr. to see. Shortly after that we met with Dr. Snow. The Dr. went over the symptoms, did a thorough, but gently exam and came up with a game plan. She made me feel comfortable to the point that I knew we were now in good hands. Its been a long 3 months of vet appointments and emergencies, however we are definitely on the path to recovery, albeit probably slow, but thats ok as our little Angel is finally getting relief and starting to feel better. Thank you seems hardly fitting as our gratitude goes well beyond that. We look forward to a long and rewarding relationship for all involved. Ive already referred this center to several people including family members and neighbors. Being open 7 days a week, coupled with extended hours, wallet friendly, professional atmosphere, clean environment and a sincere concern for your pet - you couldnt ask for more. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sincerely Karen Pingeton and Angel

Hi Im Beau the Boston Terrier! I love my mommy so very much and it makes me sad to cause her trouble but my rear end has bothered me for as long as I can remember and I dont understand why! I try to tell her by barking and staring at it and all she does is take me to strange places where people that smell funny do unpleasant things to me that never makes me feel better! They told me that there was probably something wrong with my head when I kept trying to tell them it is my rear but those humans just dont understand doggie barking language. Then one day it just so happens I got a little infection, whatever that means, and mommy took me to see a new strange person that they called Megan McGlothin. I wasnt so sure about her at first as she again did unpleasant things to me. When the funny people brought me back to my mommy, they talked about funny things for a while and then, to my surprise, my mommy got really excited! Ive never seen my mommy ever get excited in one of these funny places before, they must have told her she is getting a treat! I didnt understand what was going on but as my mommy told me, this new funny person finally figured out why my rear end hurts. I have this strange thing they called a hernia that had probably been there since I was a puppy and that this hernia, whatever it is, makes me hurt when I go potty! So they gave mommy a piece of paper that said to go see yet another funny person who had some magical power that made me take a nap when I wasn’t even tired and they did a surgery on me that will make it not hurt anymore when I got potty. I dont really know what they did when I was sleeping but Im just so very happy that after the surgery is all healed, I will probably be a normal dog whatever that means and I dont have to worry my mommy anymore :) Im so very happy that we met Megan McGlothin, she is the best funny person that I have ever let do strange things to me and I hope that she gets lots of treats :)

If there was an option to give less stars, I would. I am extremely displeased with Westchase Veterinary. I came into my first appointment at Westchase Vet, with many questions for our new vet, Dr. Emily Barr. Dr. Barr left our first appointment before I even got to ask my questions, because she was pulled into an emergency. I tried to be understanding given I would want the same care shown if I ever needed these services, albeit quite frustrated. Nothing like paying for an appointment, that you dont get everything you hoped for out of. I was also told during this appointment, that if I made an appointment with a different vet in the same practice, I would have to pay an additional new patient fee by the front desk staff. More trouble brewed, when I asked for all of my dogs records to be shared with his vet in PA, who I am continuing to see (even if it means flights home) because Ive been so underwhelmed by everyone at Westchase Vet. Also, weve rarely been called after appointments and vaccines to see how Trevor is holding up. Everything has come to a very bad point, when I tried to make Trevor an appointment for what I am deeming an emergency. When I originally wanted to make this emergency appointment on Friday, I was told I would have to wait until Sunday. Today rolled around and I unfortunately needed to postpone because I was having issues with my car not starting. As soon as I got that resolved which was still in your hours, I was told my pet could not be seen as an emergency even though his condition is concerning. I know it is concerning, because Ive been very blessed to be able to touch base with is vet in PA who does seem to care about Trevor and his well-being. To me this is blatant picking and choosing, on which customers you like will treat. I was not able to get any answer on why Trevor wasnt as valuable as the one who was prioritized over Trevor during our initial appointment.

Our 2nd time going here and our last. Our dog is suffering from allergies. The vet told us that its not a food allergy and putting topical medicine on would be ok. She left the room after promising to return. She didnt. The tech did with an incredibly high estimate to test for allergies. When we got to the desk to pay, they tried selling us their very expensive dog food because of her allergies, but as I stated, we were told her allergies werent food related. We left without any information about the topical, so I called after we were a good ways down the road. They said the vet changed her mind and said it was not a good idea. Ok, now I just spent my time, my gas and my money for a whole lot of confusion and other than some steroids that I could have gotten called in. Our dog is no better off than she was when we arrived. Of course, during the phone call, whomever it was I spoke with, continued trying to sell me on this dog food. I will not go back to this veterinary facility nor will I recommend them to any of our many puppy buyers. Both my wife and I are convinced that its more about the money than the pet.
