Please dont risk your animals life just to go here out of convenience or low prices, I use to volunteer here, I also took all 6 of my animals here. I couldnt stand it any more the reason there rates are so low is because the have the techs doing stuff that the doctors BY LAW should be doing, they had me doing stuff at 16 that only 18 yr Olds should be doing BY LAW, the TECHNICIANS are doing surgery, even did surgery on my dog, and they all acted like it was normal, Ive seen them take big dogs that were to scared to control (for all the right reasons) and instead of sedating them to a comfortable level they take them to the back in a different room and tackle the dogs down and have 3 people sit on them while the TECHNICIANS stab multiple times trying to pull blood or give vaccines in the SQ area of the dogs while the doctors watch and laugh and they give them pointers, and everytime as I watched the dogs struggle to breath and almost die. If I said anything to try to get them to stop they would just insist on me to help and laugh. So many animals that can be hurt and misdiagnosed, and so many who have. I couldnt bare it any more so I finished my volunteer hours and left, I even considered working there but then I realized there are better hospitals that have low prices to treat your animal 3000% better. I know quite a few technicians that couldnt stand it any longer either and left. I only tell you this because as a pet owner and a vet tech, my pets are family to me and I would want to know if I was making the right decision. My idea of a vet is someone who truly cares about there patients and that will go above and beyond for each and every patient and work the absolute hardest to get you the answers you need, Im glad I found that place. I hope you guys do to. I wish you the best, and God bless.

I have a 15 y.o. shih tsu (16 in a few months) with several health problems. Ive been coming to Florida for the past few winters to make it easier on her, but was worried about finding a vet in the area. Luckily, the area I live in has many small dogs so all I had to do was ask around for a recommendation. Dr. Stenzel was mentioned many times with the highest of recommendations. So, I made an appointment armed with her records. It was busy that day, so Dr. Stenzel asked me to come back the next day after he had a chance to read them and have enough time to spend with me. Not only does Dr. Stenzel have a good bedside manner, he listens and cares about these animals. Ive been coming to the Clearwater Animal Clinic for several years now and couldnt be happier. The techs there are fantastic and understanding when my little dog wants only me. They are very caring and handle her gently given her medical needs. I feel comfortable knowing she is in good hands there and that they will do everything possible to help her. Did I mention Dr. Stenzel is also extremely knowledgeable in all areas of medicine? Sad to say I know more about various illnesses thanks to my little girl. When Dr. Stenzel questioned one of the heart meds she was on he called his cardiologist. I am confident that they will continue to do everything they can to make her as comfortable as possible given her age and medical condition.

I have been going to this clinic for 15 years. Unfortunately since Dr Tutak sold the practice, things have Deteriorated badly. Just this morning I telephoned them to make sure they had Comfortis in stock for my dogs. They took my name looked up my dogs and said yes come in. So I drove there in a bad storm only to learn the Dr. left early for a golf game or some other personal reason and he locked the meds up and no one had the key aside from him and he was long gone. MY TIME HAS VALUE TOO SIR. I could see if I had not called first but I did a full hour before their close time. So here I am ready to spend $200 for my dogs and this "professional" business does not want my money and wastes my time by telling me to come there for the purchase. The previous vet Dr Tutak would not have done this to me. I am a CEO of an investment company and let me tell you if I had customers who wanted to give me money for my services and I was unavailable during regular business hours especially after they called first and said they would be coming to give me money and I blew them off, I would have ZERO customers left. This is no way to run a business. He didnt even have the balls to call me and find out why I was upset or ask what can be done to resolve the matter. 15 years of patronage only to get treated like garbage. You are a fool Stenzel. I will find another vet that respects my time and will be happy to take my money.

very low prices- unfortunately you get what you pay for..... Bad talks any other veterinarian services. had 2 of my dogs diagnosed with liver cancer after multiple visits. on the initial visits just gave quick diagnoses and prescribed prednisone which is a steroid that can be harmful to the liver. when the condition got worse, they then showed that the animals had cancer. took my other dog there for a skin rash, they told me she was allergic to fleas and gave her a cortizone shot and told me she didnt have fleas. (not feeling it necessary to inform me that the shot stays in the animals liver permanently) took my dog to another vet when her skin condition worsened to the point of hair loss and bleeding. they informed me that my dog had a yeast infection in her skin from a grain allergy. gave me tips on a grain free diet and some antibiotics. 3 weeks later her skin has cleared up and she is healthy. im sorry but if you feel the way i do about your pets(family) then maybe a doctor who tries to save you a little money in the end by not doing a few extra simple test is not the one for your pet. the sad truth about it is that when a pet is miss diagnosed and treated with the wrong medications it can be fatal in the long run. i only wish i didnt have to lose 2 of my pets before i wised up and changed vets. good luck and god bless.

Walked out before we saw the veterinarian. The vet tech was completely unprofessional. My dog and I were brought to the room, the tech took him back with out even introducing her self or asking why he was there. Brought him back for vitals, heard them talking negatively in the back about my pup, she then brought him back. Then came back 2 minutes later and dragged him away saying she needed a urine sample. Mind you I still dont know her name, she hasnt asked me why I am there, nor had we seen the doctor for him to asses and come up with a practice plan also, my dog was small enough to be picked up rather than dragged away. After she came back with him I walked out of the office as I refuse to pay for a office visit without the vet seeing him or the tech actually asking why we were there. She was going by what the lady on the phone wrote down when I made my appointment and I am not even sure what she wrote down. It might be a cheaper clinic but you definitely get what you paid for. When went to a different clinic and was treated 100% better
