If you care about your animals do not go here. I paid to have my dog fixed. The doctor took my money with no problem, did surgery, but really did nothing to fix my buddy up. They put staples on his hind quarters and it made my $3500.00 English Bull Dog have a baboon butt. He was supposed to fix his eyes he over did them and removed the wrinkle above his nose. I almost cried when I saw my pup. He also makes up different prices for different people. I was told a price by one of his staff members, later that night I got a phone call saying he cant do the surgery for that price although she had gone into his office and confirmed the price with him when I was originally given the quote. Then his office manager told me that they fired this very nice young lady because of that situation. I have to say it made me angry and I told her that was completely unprofessional. You should never tell your customer they got someone fired. I dont even understand that, especially since she went into his office to confirm everything. I then got a dismal letter that looked like a first grader wrote it. By know means am I saying I am better than anyone, but I think I would have had the doctor proof read the letter since it came from his office with his name and signature on it. If anyone would like to read the letter I would be more than happy to let you read it. This letter alone will make you think twice before you let these people do anything on your fur babies.

There are not enough words to say, THANKS to ALL of you at Community Veterinary Hospital, (CVH), and especially,to Dr. Mandelker! I happened upon CVH after my dog fell extremely ill over Memorial Day Weekend with pancreatitis and Crohns Disease. I thought for certain that I would lose my Italian Greyhound, Jasper, after two weeks at another facility only to be told that he had a very possible liver disease. I walked into CVH carrying Jasper extremely weak with blood work and test results in hand as I had scheduled a liver biopsy and ultrasound that morning, fully expecting him pass during the biopsy. I cried all night the night before and as a pet owner, you know this feeling. Dr. Mandelker thoroughly examined Jasper and said, " there is no need for the liver biopsy". Dr. Mandelkers eyes were gentle and caring and I knew in my heart that Jasper was definitely in good hands. After only 2 days Jasper came home! Now our Little Man is completely healthy and energetic as if nothing ever happened! I say, "our" because CVH dubbed Jasper as their Little Man. So, together, I share my Little Man with ALL of those at CVH as a wonderful part of my family. Thanks so much to ALL of you for your compassion and genuine care for not only Little Man but for me as well. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY DOG TO ANOTHER VET SO LONG AS I LIVE! DR. MANDELKER AND HIS STAFF ARE THE BEST!

I have been a customer of Dr. Mandelker for over 15 years. Countless times he has opened his office after hours, to save my family pets. They are my family. One time my Sheltie Conker was in dire straights. The emergency clinic wanted $5,000.00 up front at 2:00 am just to admit him and watch him until the morning. I got Doc at home. Woke him up and he came in after hours on the weekend to help us. The emergency clinic said my dog had heart problems,, doc found a sepsis infection in the heart valve. A totally different diagnosis. We went with docs diagnosis and he charged me $100.00 up front and total bill was $450.00+/-. One tenth of the emergency clinic. My dog was so sick he couldnt hold up his own head. Doc not only saved him but DID NOT cut him open like the emergency clinic wanted to. My best friend is still here and both of us owe Doctor Mandelker everything for what he did and how he did it. Nobody today cares more about helping save your pet without being a money mill than he does. He is old school and stands by his oath. Finally he worked with me on the bill so I could keep the lights on and still take care of my family. No amount of words can repay what doc has given me. If you love your pets, trust him and his experience, he wont ever let you down.

Dr. Mandelker was referred by friends at work. My Pomeranian had suddenly showed some concerning symptoms while on vacation and I traveled back to town and immediately visited a 24hour emergency clinic...more concerned with expensive testing rather than easing the dogs discomfort. I left and sought Dr. Mandelkers services. The doctors expertise at diagnosis brought quick answers without the need for expensive technology. No cure was available for my girl - but she was comfortable and we made end of life decisions in the care of kind professionals. Since then I have taken my three rescue pekes to Dr. Mandelker who puts the pets first. If you want sound advice on keeping your pet healthy, a caring staff, and excellent medical services - look no further. I drive from across the county to see Dr. Mandelker - I dont want close... I want the best - and Ive found it at Community Veterinary. I joke with the office staff that Dr. Mandelker tolerates us humans only because the pets cant drive themselves in.... he will always put your feathered, scaly, furry family members first!

My family has been taking our pets to Dr, Mendelker for 35 years starting with my first dog, Bear. Over the years my family has had approximately 12 different dogs so we have needed a very wide variety of services from simple vaccination to a full face lift on my English Bulldog Bubba. The staff have been compassionate and caring at all times. Recently I unfortunately had to have my Boxer euthanized due to heart failure. The Dr and staff tired everything possible to save my pet. I can not say enough good things about Community Veterinary Hospital.
