Sadly, my experience with this practice was extremely disappointing. It appears their main objective is revenue generation rather than patient health and well being. I went in for an examination of a suspicious skin tag on my neck. During a full body exam, while semi-nude laying on the exam table, Alex, the office Physicians Assistant, found another identical skin tag and removed it by using a CO2 spray. She did not ask my permission, and although she said it was benign - as the neck tag was - she removed it with a simple ZAP of a spray can. And I was charged $118 by their office for that pleasure. As my insurance would not cover this ridiculous charge, they have attempted to invoice me. I informed them in writing what occurred in the exam room that day, and could not understand her justification for removing something that was benign, while I was undressed and she SHOULD have known insurance would not cover such a removal. Without an apology or valid explanation, I was informed by Shayna - an office manager - that they would "Split it" with me. In other words, they would reduced their insane fee to 50% of the $118 charge, and now I need only pay $59. Unbelievably unprofessional and gluttonous. One would think they would rather have a patient for life - along with referrals - rather that try to extort a few dollars from a patient for an unnecessary and unrequested procedure. Another sad example of greed in health care.

I had a hard time finding a good dermatologist and luckily my friend recommended Dr. Ellner. He was amazing! Incredible bedside manner and very knowledgeable. I have had a lot of surgeries and health issues and this I can honestly say was one of the best doctor experiences I have ever had. If you need a dermatologist I highly recommend Dr. Ellner. You wont regret it. The staff was very helpful and the nurses were personable and very nice to work with as well.

Dr. Ellner is very friendly and makes me laugh, but he missed two basal cell carcinomas on my husbands face for almost a year. He eventually required Mohs surgery that left him with 145 stitches and a huge scar on his cheek. The second spot wasnt as bad, but still required surgery and resulted in 75 stitches. Needless to say, we found another dermatologist.
