I have had 2 dogs in the Athens area for 4 years now. After a handful of bad experiences with our vet we decided to switch vets. After reading a couple of reviews and hearing great things about Firehall 4 we decided to try them...it was an amazing decision. They worked with our work schedule and saw us a little later than they usually admit new patients. Our dogs are a little skiddish, but they handled them much better than our old vets. She also got down on the floor with my dogs and made them feel comfortable with her!!! The whole entire staff was amazing!! My lab has had urinary incontinence for about 2.5 years. My old vet said it was probably due to her being spayed. After talking with me, the Dr. told me that it could be a bacterial infection as well. She discussed with me all of the possible treatment options and let me help decide her treatment. After about a week of taking the antibiotic, Ramsey is now no longer experiencing incontinence!! Needless to say, if you are looking for a vet in the Athens area, go to Firehall 4!

My cat is getting pretty old. But she is the light of our lives. We have been to three other Athens based vet clinics but were always sorely overcharged for a simple checkup or treated as less than a priority. But then we found THIS place. They always remember my cat and treat her like their own. When we suspected something was suddenly very wrong with her, they were booked full that day but cared enough to squeeze her in without hesitation! The staff are kind and thorough. They genuinely care about your pet and their rates are affordable. 5 stars. (They even wrote her name on the New Years board! Very sweet.)

Ive been taking my cats here for the past 6 years. Its completely out of the way and Im sure I could find one closer, but I dont want to. Ive seen all the Drs there, but Dr Bates is my primary vet and he worth his weight in gold. He really listens to you and is very understanding. Im sad that I am moving because I know Ill never find a place like this again... : (

FIrehall 4 came highly recommended by a vet student friend of mine and they didnt disappoint. They were able to get me in same day. The front desk staff were pleasant and welcoming. The vet tech knew her stuff and handled my cat wonderfully. Dr. Peterson was kind and gentle while handling my cat as well and genuinely cared about the health of my girl.

Weve been taking our dog to Firehall 4 for 4 years now. We love it there! The staff treats him like hes their own dog and the place is very clean. I always hear horror stories from other pet owners about their vet bills but Firehall 4 is extremely reasonable and doesnt try to "upcharge" every visit.

Love this place and will not go anywhere else. The first time I visited was for an emergency and they took such great care of my pup and me that I kept coming back. Drs. Peterson, Laas and Middendorf are awesome. They are the absolute cream of the crop of veterinarians in this area.
