This place is HORRIBLE! BEWARE and steer clear. I wouldnt take my dog to this dentist. She is rude, unethical and most of all treats the children like crap. She insisted my son have extensive dental work done (2 strip crowns, extractions, fillings, and space maintainers). I agreed to have them done. We were scheduled to have everything done at one time. My son cried and got sick the first time when she ignored his gagging signals and she had to stop and reschedule. The next time we went back we waited to see her for over 1 hour and then she wondered why he seemed so fidgety and told me that I should give him Benadryl before the next visit. The third time we went back she basically told me that he was a horrible child and she didnt like working on him. After that, within 2 days, both of his crowns had popped off and both tooth rings (space maintainers) were off within a week. When I went back to have them fixed, she informed me that I shouldve taken better care of them. I explained to her that he was eating mashed potatoes when his crowns came off and his space maintainer came off when he was brushing his teeth. She told me she should make me pay for it; however, she would only fix it this one time and if it came off again then I would just have to start paying her directly to fix it, even though I have insurance. Needless to say, we didnt go back to her and my son has now had to suffer through all of these extensive dental procedures again because of her carelessness and horrible work. The dentists Ive seen since her have all told me that her license should be pulled and she should no longer be able to practice. This dentist is a joke and I will shout it from the roof tops until she is stopped. Please people, dont put your children in danger with this woman. Shes horrible and hopefully she wont be able to work on our children anymore.

This dentist is unethical and only out for money. She insisted that my three year old daughter needed strip crowns on her teeth. I finally agreed, because she was so insistant that my daughter needed them and would benefit from them. The crowns were huge. The very next day, my daughter bit her tounge terribly, because she barely had enough room in her mouth. The crowns were just too big. Exactly seventeen days later, the crowns fell off while we were having soft scrambled eggs for breakfast. I had not allowed my daughter to have any candy or anything hard or sticky for fear that this would cause the crowns to come off. I called and they scheduled me an appointment for the next day. We went in and the dentist looked at her teeth for a few seconds, didnt even touch them, and then declared that my daughter didnt need crowns after all. So she needed them so urgently two weeks before, and then magically doesnt need them now? I found out from the receptionist that the procedure can only be billed to my insurance one time, so Dr. Chang would not profit from replacing the crowns. I spoke to my own dentist, and she informed me that my daughters teeth have been compromised because she sort of sanded the teeth to get the crowns to stay on. Now my little girl has been complaing of sensitivity, when she has never had it before. I am going to report this to my insurance, and hopefully will not have to pay out of pocket for my little girls teeth to be fixed correctly. I wish I had never gone to this woman. I should have walked out when her nurse (who speaks almost no english) screamed at my daughter because she was frightened by the movement of the chair. This place is awful.

My daughters experience at this office was TERRIBLE!! Waiting room was crowded(over booked). Nasty little signs addressing the kids "Do not touch ". A sign in bathroom "Kids do not mess with my stuff". The walls are painted nice --yes. It looks friendly. The staff is friendly. The dentist is awful!! Dr. Chang isnt kid friendly at all. She didnt hardly acknowledged my daughter before she was raising her in the air and shining a light in her face and putting a mirror in her mouth. Didnt bother calling my daughter by her name or ask her anything. My daughter was terrified of her!! I found Dr. Chang very rude and uncaring. Weve been to another practice and thought we would try a local dentist but big mistake. Its back to Douglasville. I know what a caring , patient dentist is and its not here....all she cares about is $$$...find someone that interacts with the kids and makes them comfortable. AND this is the office that used the restraints that was on the news....my daughters previous dentist didnt need to use restraints because the Dentist made my daughter comfortable and took time to explain everything that was about to be done and showed her the tools. Like I said the staff was nice but the dentist NOT.....not at all a sympathetic dentist to the needs and emotions of children....oh,, and also I overheard her speaking terrible to her staff....just please take your kids some where ELSE !! Just because your kids have Medicaid or Peach Care does not mean you have to go here !! !! Plenty of other offices take that insurance..

Absolutely without a doubt the worse childrens dentist ever!!! Do not go here! I should have learned when they wanted to pull my 6 year old little girls teeth out for no reason (other than they were going to fall out soon). Perfectly healthy teeth and she wanted to pull them just so she could bill our insurance for it! Then I took my 12 year old son for a tooth he had chipped before and she put the ugliest strip crown in his mouth! Did not explain to me whatsoever what a strip crown is and they refuse to let parents in the back with their children. The strip crown is a bright white unnatural color and it is longer than his other teeth. He says it feels bad to eat because it is so bulky in his mouth. She then tells me that he is NEVER allowed to drink anything with color to it. No Gatorade, juice nothing! For the rest of his life! After calling around to other dentist I find out that strip crowns are only temporary which she did not tell me at all! My son is extremely sad and doesnt want to go to school because of the ugly crown she did! The receptionist are always rude when we go there and roll their eyes when you ask them questions. You cant even ask the dentist questions because of her limited English. This place should be shut down and I hope no other parent has to go through having their childs teeth messed up!

Easy Nature

Do not take your children to this dentist! I have questioned the practices of this office since my sons first visit. They do not allow parents to go back with the children to the exam room, which I have always found strange. We have only been a few times, and this made me very uncomfortable. Now I see in the news that they have been restraining children and performing unacceptable dental work. I have cancelled my sons upcoming appointment and will never again use Smiles R Us in Carrollton, GA. Also, it sure is funny that many of the positive reviews are extremely similar, even using the same exact statement in most of them. Many of the positive reviews on other sites, with specific posting dates, were posted on the same day. Kinda weird that random people happened to post over the top positive reviews on the same day, and this is a repeating trend. If I had to guess, I would guess that Smiles R Us has someone on staff posting great reviews, but you be the judge.
