If I could submit my review with zero stars, I would. I have taken my 3 year old dog to the Animal Hospital since he was born. He has never been aggressive, shown teeth or even growled at anyone. I took him for his yearly check-up on 07/01/17 and was completely heartbroken at the way he and I were treated. He was taken back to the exam room (without me as usual) and I immediately heard him whimper(not bark, not growl, whimper) within a few minutes one of the assistants (who is always in a foul mood) came out with him, threw his leash at me and declared loud enough for everyone in the lobby to hear "I cant treat him he is too aggressive." She showed me a bloody mark on her arm and claimed my dog had bitten her. While I dont doubt that my dog caused the bleeding it is very questionable that this was a bite, unless my 25 lb dog somehow managed to bite her with one tooth only. After this Dr. Richmond came out while the assistant screams TALK TO HER. Dr. Richmond informed me that my sweet tempered dog was "too aggressive" and placed his staff at risk (after seeing him for 3 years with no problem). They refused to even try to muzzle him stating some dogs bite even with a muzzle, which makes me wonder what kind of faulty muzzles they use. What keeps standing out to me is that my dog was whimpering so I am having a hard time believing that in his pained, scared whimpering he got on hind legs and lunged at them and bit them as they claim. To add insult to injury, when I was forced to find another vet they tried to discourage said vet from seeing him as well. When Dalton Animal Care called for his records they felt it necessary to go on and on about how aggressive my dog was and how hed need to be sedated to be treated (which they didnt offer to do when they threw him back at me and refused to treat him). The staff at Dalton Animal Care had no issue giving him his rabies shot he did not once lunge at anyone or even growl, he did not even need to be muzzled. Im left wondering what exactly Animal Hospital of Whitfield County did to my dog when I wasnt looking to make him this vicious beast that no one else has ever seen. My family has used the Animal Hospital for years with all of our pets, which is why I chose them when I got a family pet but after this I will never return and will be telling every pet owner I know to avoid them. Their service of pets and their owners/parents is abysmal.

I had to bring my 7 year old Chihuahua (Boo) in due to cluster seizures. Shes had seizures before but never like this and needed attention as soon as possible, however, our regular veterinarian was out due to a death in the family. I am always very cautious when it involves the health of one of my Chis and do not like going places where we do not know the staff. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked into Animal Hospital of Whitfield County! The staff was wonderful!!! Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and understanding. They took her back very quickly and Dr. German was amazingly knowledgeable about the entire situation. She made us feel very comfortable and we knew that Boo was in good hands! Boo has the medication she needs and I am happy to say that she has not had a seizure for over 12 hours now! Animal Hospital of Whitfield County is completely marvelous! If I could rate you 20 stars I would! Thank you so much for your time and compassion! Youre all truly fantastic!

Nice enough staff from what u could tell but this was our first visit. I do not appreciate the technicians giving our puppy Great Value Cheese Wiz to "occupy" him without even asking us first. And NO this was not the dog friendly kind.. it was just the regular kind you get at Walmart. I have photos of it. This stuff isnt even good for humans! When we tell you our puppy is having some diarrhea I dont think its a smart idea to give him cheese wiz. Really is it ever a good idea? No. We told them we didnt want to have the shots today because honestly as soon as we saw them give our dog cheese wiz we wanted to get out of there. BUT... Their was no communication and the vet came in and gave him the shots anyways. We caught him right after the first one and tried correcting him. Everything went so fast we couldnt have stopped him so we told him to do the rest of the shots anyways. He was apologetic yes but still. Needless to say we will not be returning.

They treated my wife and baby pup terribly. Accusing him of being aggressive when he has never shown aggression towards anyone and he was joyful on the ride there and upon arrival. He was whimpering when he was taken back. I not once heard him bark or growl so I wonder how he was being handled that caused him to whimper in pain and then just ejected out for being "aggressive". The person who brought him back was rude and loud and almost yelling at my wife. Then the Dr. Richmond did as well. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. After having taken our pup to them for 3 years now, we wont be returning, and we caution anyone we know who values their pups as part of their family to not use them to avoid any pain as we have experienced.

My fur baby had (for some unknown reason) decided it was a good idea to bit open and eat some medication she accidentally found. I freaked out, of course, and looked for the nearest open animal hospital. This was the only one, and I am extremely happy they were open! They treated me and my dog with care, explaining everything that needed to be done and keeping me informed. I was very impressed with Dr. German and all the front desk staff. If I ever have another emergency (God forbid), I will definitely go back to Dr. German!

I adopted my 2 fur-babies from the Animal Hospital September 2013. I have been taking them back for check ups ever since. Both cats remember the doctors & staff and they love on my babies like I do. Amazing staff & awesome care for any fur-baby. If you are looking at adopting a cat, I hope people come to the Animal Hospital & see how great their "Cattery" is and how awesome they take care of their fur-babies. Thank you for all you do!! Love, Love Dr. German and Dr. Richmond. We had a very sick baby with a blockage. Only way to fix it was surgery. Dr. Richmond used his lunch hour to do the surgery, called me before to let me know they were starting and called me after to let me know all went well. My precious furbaby was sent home feeling like his old self. I will not trust anyone else with any of my furbabies.

Absolutely love them! Theyre the only ones I will take my babies to, which include 10 dogs and three cats as well we 2 birds. If youre looking for the perfect doctors for your pet babies take them here and they will be treated as if you yourself were taking care of them. There is no better vets in Whitfield County!
