The staff in Dr. Hesters office is extremely unfriendly and completely incompetent. If the ladies behind the desk would take 2 minutes out of the conversation about what the other bought at the mall during her lunch break and not have a fashion show behind the counter, maybe my feelings would be different. My appointment was at 2pm and yet they didnt come back from lunch until about 2:15. I was the first appointment after lunch and, keep in mind my apoointment was at 2, I wasnt even taken back until about 2:30...there were no other patients in the office. I went back fro a refitting because the lenses I got were awful. Again, I was completely ignored. Additionally, do your own research about your insurance coverage. They have no idea what they are doing in that respect either. I was told my entire appointment was covered under my insurance...Imagine my surprise to get a bill for almost $100.

I’m shocked with these other reviews!! They must not have gone to Hester Eye, been in a bad mood or didnt have the funds to cover their appointment. The ladies at Hester are AMAZING!!! Friendly, compassionate, caring and make EVERYONE feel welcome! They are all incredible workers as well as people! I have changed insurance a couple of times and each time, they knew more about my insurance than I found out in my research. Obviously that other reviewer didnt do his/her homework and that is the customers responsibility as well. I just LOVE Hester Eye and have gone for years. If you need an eye place- CHOOSE HESTER!!! Dr Hester is AMAZING as well and is current with not only technology, but with ways to improve your eyes. I give them a perfect 10!!!

When I arrived at my 1:30 appt., the door was locked. When they opened, they did not greet me. The 3 women behind the counter asked me the same questions several times. I had filled out forms on their website. They could not find me listed (???) At 1:45, one of them again me asked me my husbands date of birth, again. This was the last straw. I told her as much and to shred my paper, I was finding another optometrist. She just laughed. Maybe if I had actually SEEN a doctor, I might not feel this way. Oh, and by the way, I was the only one in the waiting area.

I have been going to Hester Eye Associates since Dr Hester first opened his practice. He has guided me thru eye glasses ,thru, Lasik Surgery, and then thru Cataract Surgery on both eyes ,and thru all the years he has tested me and has kept a very watchful watch for Macular degeneration wich affected 3 people in my mothers family. I have trusted him with my eyes and will continue to always do so. He has also been the Doctor of choice for my family as well. I would recommend Dr Hester and Hester Eye Associates who really wants True Care for their eyes.

Absolutely stunned by the negative reviews. Dr. Hester is an outstanding professional and his staff is not only warm and friendly, but they genuinely care about the patients they see. Every time I have needed glasses, sunglasses or my wife has needed contacts, they have found the best lenses and frames for the money and they work well with my insurance. This is one of the best optometrists I have visited in 30 years.

Great experience! Everyone was friendly and very professional. Dr. Hester explained why the last set of contacts I had purchased (not from them) werent comfortable and seemed blurry. Turns out the last optometrist I went to diagnosed my astigmatism but didnt factor that into my contact prescription.Would definitely recommend Hester Eye Associates.
