Amazing experience. First exam in 33 years and turns out my headaches were related to my vision! Dr. Young and his staff were extremely patient and informative, as I had a lot of questions. After some basic tests and a conversation with the doctor, I found out that I was far sighted and needed glasses for the computer as well as night time driving. I was given lots of options about lens technologies and decided to go with anti reflective lenses. Mary helped me pick out the frames that were right for me and did a wonderful job fitting them once they came in in just a few days. The difference in my vision is truly amazing. I dont have to squint to see at night and I dont get nearly as tired from working 10 hours on a computer. I cant wait to bring my wife and kids and tell my friends families to see him as well!

I have been taking my children to this Eye Doctors office since they were very young. I use to have insurance through work however i now have Medicaid, they have a policy that they only see medicaid patients at a certain time in the AM. This would cause me to miss work and my child to mess up her perfect attendance at school. When asking why they changed there policy in the past i couldnt get a real answer. I am completely offended by this, why would such a policy exist? I called many other Eye Doctors and they have never heard of such a policy. I will not be going back to this office because of it. It seems medicaid patients are being treated differently , and i am a hard working mother have been working since i was 16 years old. Its a shame this policy exists because the Doctors are extremely nice.

This is the ONLY place I will go for glasses or eye exams, I have been a patient for years. The staff has always been helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Numerous times they have gone that extra mile and help me in anyway they can. For example, I accidentally broke my prescription glasses, I would have had to buy another pair (which is expensive and I do not have eye insurance, so I pay out of pocket) instead, they worked their magic and fixed them in order to save me money. Not all offices go above and beyond and save the customer money, they are more about making as much as possible. The doctors have always made me feel as if I am their patient and not just a number. They have never rushed to get me out and get on with the next patient. Its always a very personable experience.

I have to let everyone know the treasure that is Opticare in Newport. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Dr. Sellers gave a very thorough exam all the while making me feel very comfortable as well as keeping me in tune with what was happening. I would recommend this office to anyone who is tired of the cookie-cutter, assembly line Optometrist offices that pervade todays eye care. The folks at Opticare will make you feel at home and whatever amount of time is necessary, they are happy to oblige. Kudos Opticare!

It had been 6 years since my last eye exam, and the doctor I used for years had retired not long ago. Thankfully, I met Doctor Josiah Young and scheduled my exam. The entire experience at Opticare Vision Center was great! From the warm welcome I received as a new patient to the thorough eye exam Dr. Young provided, I felt like Id received the best eye care possible. I would recommend Dr. Young and his team to anyone looking (no pun intended) for a new eye care provider. Youll be glad you did.

Dr. Young and the Opticare Team are fantastic. Everyone makes the experience easy and a relaxing. Dr. Young talks to his patients as people, not just customers. He is obviously very intelligent, but explains everything in ways I can understand. He is more than willing to take the time to answer all of my questions. He is very honest, trustworthy, and looked for ways to save me money. Opticare has provided the best experience I have ever had going to an eye doctor.

I just want to take time out to thank the entire staff and Dr. Young for making my minor surgical procedure on my eye flawless! I love the atmosphere here and they really do things right! If you are in the area for an eye doctor stop searching and get to Opticare in Newport, KY!! 2 receptionist wer very rude. They would not see my 3 year old for a preschool eye exam because she was not 3 & 1/2. There website has information explaining the importance of eye care in children and has an infant on the website, and explains exams should start at 3. The last receptionist hung up on me when i politely said i would take my business else where. 0 stars if it was an option, horrible way to do business!

Dr. Young and the entire staff at Opticare are absolutely fantastic. I just became a patient at the Newport location and cant say enough good things about my experience. My eye exam was extremely thorough, I could tell that Dr. Young and his staff cared about my needs and I didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes before my appointment. I would recommend Opticare to anyone!

Over all great service, helpful with insurance questions. Easy to get in and be seen in a timely manner, I have been a patient of Dr. sellers since I was about fourteen years old and have always had great service. Will continue to return. My glasses are always of high quality and have never had a pair break on me.

My family and I go to the Newport location and always recieve the best service every time we go. Truthfully, I have nothing bad to say. The doctors are real knowledgable and the staff are so friendly, I would refer anyone to this office if they want to recieve great service with a smile.

Dr. Sellers is a very knowledgeable eye doctor and was thorough in examining an eye issue I had. Many of the assistants are friendly and courteous, there was a little delay in my wait time of my appointment, otherwise I would of given a five star rating.
