I took my dog here because he had a medical condition that needed to be seen right away. His normal vet could not see him for a few days and I was able to avoid hospital costs because they granted me an appointment the very next day. I love Dr. Grubbs because he is very hands on. I had to drop my dog off the following day for a procedure and Dr. Grubbs personally called me when the procedure was over. When I came in the office to inquire about my dogs test results, Dr. Grubbs took time out of his day and stopped what he was doing to come and speak with us personally. In my experience, most places have a staff member call, which only leaves more unanswered questions. When I stopped in and asked about possibly switching my other four dogs to another food, the staff member was so helpful in explaining the best options to me. I only hate that I didnt get her name but she was so kind and very helpful. She was even willing to check whether they would be able to order my dogs prescription food that they dont normally carry. However, I do give four instead of five stars because one of the staff members tried to be snobby about me asking for a copy of my pets food prescription and suggested that I ask my pets normal vet, which made no sense because my vet is not the one who wrote the original prescription or treated the condition. I was also not very happy when I called about my dogs test results and the same staff member forgot to tell the Dr. I called. The prices are a bit higher than Value Vet where I normally take my pets but I appreciate the time and care that they took with my dog. They took their time and answered all of my questions. When I asked them to go back over things so that I could understand, they took special care to help me understand and I dont feel rushed like I do when going to Value Vet. I think we are going to stick with this vet from now on. We will just try to avoid this particular staff member.

The Lawrenceville Animal Care Center is hands down the worst and most unprofessional clinic I have ever been to. I recently moved to the Lawrenceville area and was in need of an animal clinic for my two dogs, and this one was located most convenient to where I lived so I gave it a try. My first visit went okay, although I thought Dr. Grubbs came off as arrogant and rude but I figured he might have just had a bad day. I had to visit today to get one of my dogs glands cleaned, which has always been a $10-$20 treatment, but at this clinic I was charged $99. For some reason, the gland cleaning was $17 (which is perfectly normal), however I was charged $82 for an "exam". After returning home and looking over the invoice, I called and asked why I was charged such a high amount, and Dr. Grubbs said, what, do you think overhead doesnt need to get paid? He continued to go on about how he went to college and that the exam was necessary. I was not able to speak at all because he continued to cut me off. I finally had to tell him thank you and hang up. I was blown away, I have lived in both Athens, GA and Macon, GA and have never been charged such a ridiculous amount for a procedure that literally takes one, maybe two minutes. After I hung up with Dr. Grubbs, I went back to the clinic, pulled my pets records, and will be in search of a more customer friendly animal clinic that does not overcharge you with unnecessary fees. With that being said, if you are looking for a horrible doctor that will rip you off to pay his overhead this is the place for you!

After searching for a caring vet with a caring staff...I finally found Dr. Grubbs and the Lawrenceville Animal Care Center. The staff was wonderful and caring during the last year of my 20 year old cats life. After I made the difficult decision to put my cat down, I received a sympathy card personally signed by all the staff. They helped me transition and I now have a wonderful kitten, that I got through the office. Dr. Grubbs is a wonderful and caring vet who is not a "warm and fuzzy" person, but he IS professional and caring. The staff are amazing. I would recommend this office to anyone who is searching for a good vet with a caring office staff. Good luck!

Dr. Grubbs was excellent! Called on a Tuesday, was seen by the Doc on Wednesday, and my dog had her surgery Thursday. He clearly explained my dogs medical conditions and her treatment plans. He walked me through her surgery as well as her aftercare with medications and activities. Their staff is friendly, professional, welcoming, and caring for animals and owners alike. Not to mention their prices were half of others quoted in Lawrenceville and surrounding areas. They get an A+ in my book.

I drive all the way from Cumming to take my furbabies here. Dr. Grubbs and his staff are wonderful. You have to love a vet that keeps gentle cats that welcome stressed out pets and their owners in the lobby, and calms them right down. He also runs a rescue out of his office. He really loves animals, and it shows in the loving and highly competent care he has given my furbabies over the years. He is very open and honest with his clients, and his prices are fair.

Dr. Grubbs is terrible. He is a rude individual that acts very inappropriate in the business environment. He made myself and wife feel very uncomfortable with some improper comments and gestures. I highly advise going a different route with your pets.
