Ive been taking my dogs/cats to Airway for many years. My parents also used this clinic when the elderly Pumpelly practiced there. Ive always had good experiences here until recently. I have a cat who has breast cancer. One tumor was removed last year and others removed this year. There is nothing in my pets record that shows the vet took measurements of the size of the tumors, which is an important factor in determining the animals longevity/what steps to take next. In another incident, I went in for flea meds for my cats and dogs. I was given dog flea meds for my cats, which is a huge error. One cat started having tremors/twitching and loss of muscle control a couple of hours after application of the med. I took the cat to the clinic the next morning making them aware of their mistake, they kept my cat and successfully treated her, but not once did I receive an apology. Explanation was that some animals react differently to a med....they blew off the fact they gave me the wrong stuff. They didnt know how to treat her and had to call the product manufacturer and then the poison control center. I didnt have a bill for that days treatment, which I wasnt going to pay anyhow because of their error. A staff member, not one of the vets, sold me the flea meds, and I dont know if the vets get involved when a customer buys flea meds over the counter. However, staff members supporting clients should be knowledgeable enough to not give the wrong meds. My cat could have died from this and I dont have the benefit of knowing the size of the tumors that were removed in order to help my decision regarding the future of my pet. I dont mind the way the clinic looks (Ive seen worse), their prices are reasonable, and I like the vets and staff, but they seem to have more patients than they can handle. Definitely make an appointment or you will have a wait. I like the pet portal (website) they created where you can request appointments and med refills online, your pets record is also online, etc. They send out a monthly pet newsletter, which is also a good thing. Im not sure Ill be taking any of my pets there again however.

I showed up to Airway Animal Clinic in a very compromising position. I was lounging around my house and ended up taking nap in the nude. My pet hamster must have somehow gotten out of his cage and made his way up onto the couch because the next thing I know, Im waking up with a strange itching sensation in my rectum. I tried everything I could think of to get him out, but apparently he was nice and cozy and had no intention of coming out anytime soon. Knowing that the hospital would ask a lot of embarrassing questions, I decided to try Airway Animal Clinic instead to give the little guy the best chance of making it out of this predicament alive. So I stuffed some lettuce up my ass in case he got hungry and I was on my way. The staff was very understanding, one lady rolled her eyes at my story, but the main Vet quickly put her in line. I could tell hed been down this road quite a few times himself. The Vet then used some sort of vacuum to suction the hamster out and he was fine. I think I remember him saying it was the same machine that they use to give dogs abortions. Im just happy it could be used for a happier purpose and there was no harm done to my pet. If anything, I think this experience made my hamster mentally tougher than other hamsters that have never been inside a human. Great staff and confidential service, Ill be back.

I am new to the area and used the reviews to find a vet for my dog and cat, so I hope my review will be helpful to others. Airway Vet Clinic has some positives and negatives. Positive: Competitively priced, friendly staff & vets, convenient location. Negative: Very long wait (even with an appointment), small waiting area, not very thorough. I have been to this vet three times since November 2011. The staff and vets are all very nice. My biggest issue is the wait. I schedule my appointments and still, each time I have had to wait over an hour after my appointment time to be seen. My animals hate going to the vet and the waiting leaves us both frazzled. The other issue I have is their thoroughness, or lack of it. For yearly exams on both my cat and dog, only the weight was taken and I expect weight, temp, ears, mouth, and eyes quickly checked. As I get more settled into the area I will look for a new vet, but this clinic worked in a pinch for routine, non-emergency care.

I have a good laugh over the people who wrote the lower starred reviews. Obviously airway doesnt cut animal heads off, and their waiting room can get hectic, leading to lots of fur, I guess? A typical visit to Airway is a nice visit. Usually, when you schedule an appointment, theyll put you on hold for a few minutes, then theyll get right to you. You schedule, and sometimes theyre booked for a week or two for checkups, but spaying is next day (in my experience). The clerks are very sweet, and the vets enjoy their jobs. My pups doctor is always happy to see us, and full of smiles. Ive heard bad things about Airway, but theyre unfounded, as I havent run into any of that. Theyre very nice people who love animals, and their people too. I really like the way they run things. The only downside is that the rooms are sometimes a bit cramped, and sometimes theres fur on the floor if its been busy. Airway is a good place. :-)

I dropped off my cat at Airway Clinic making sure she did not have any food or water as prescribed before the routine procedure of suturing a lesion she had on her right rear knee. Later that day I picked up my cat...they said the procedure went well. But during the next few days I noticed a major change in my cats behavior. She was experiencing very labored breathing and was clearly in some sort of discomfort. One month later, after numerous visits and expensive antibiotics my cat died trying to breathe. The attending vet was very nice, the staff was very nice, but my cat contracted some sort of infection during the time of her procedure and died as a result. I only write this feedback to forewarn any other pet owners. The vet could not provide any reason for why this happened. Did something happen during the procedure? Is there some sort of contagion in the clinic?

We had Airway recommended to us by one of the workers where we bought our dog, and since I was new to the whole pet thing, I decided to try them out. I will agree that the waiting room is rather small and uninspiring looking, but honestly I dont care as long as the care is good and the price is right. I have no complaints about the care we received at Airway. The vets I dealt with were all kind and helpful, and the people at the desk, while quite rushed, were willing to help. If you do a walk-in, you can expect a (very) long wait. I think the couple times I had to, it was 1.5-2 hours, but for a walk-in, what do you expect. However, when I had an appointment, I never had to wait overly long. Plus, when we moved, they were very prompt and courteous in faxing our dogs records to the new vet. I would certainly recommend this place to a friend if they asked.
