WOW! Heart Of Suwanee Animal Hospital is the greatest Vet in the state of GA! Doctor Golden is absolutely genius! She is wonderful, so educated and calm, and really cares about the well being of your pet. She loves what she does! The staff here always makes me and my dog Summer feel very welcome! Everytime I bring my dog in, I always leave feeling at ease with the proper diagnosis and medication needed! They always call me to check on her progress and make sure she is getting better. Heart of Suwanee is very involved with the community and they do "Suwanee Days" which they set up a tent and give away promotions for vaccines and first time visits! I get my dog vaccinated every year with a special coupon they give at these festivals. But even without promotions great fair prices here! I am a college student and I always feel like I am fairly charged and its affordable! Dr. Jackson is great as well! I just prefer Dr. Golden but I would see Dr. Jackson if she was out. He is very kind and educated as well. I have a special place in my heart for Dr.Golden and Heart of Suwanee Animal Hospital because I truely believe Dr. Golden saved my dogs life a few years ago. My 1 year old Havanese was having trouble breathing and was sezuring. After taking her to the Johnscreek Vet clinic and being misdiagnosed 3 times and spending outrageous amount of money with no answers.... ( worst place ever).... I took my dog to Dr. Golden and she immediately diagnosed, and treated my dog, and my dog was back to normal in 2 days! Dr.Golden goes above and beyond and she is so smart! I trust her entirely with my pet. My aunt takes her animals here too and we are always very happy with this place ! All my neighbors board their pets here as well, when on vacation and always have great things to say. Such a clean environment! I have recently moved to boston and am so spoiled with Dr. Golden that I am struggling to find a vet! I feel so spoiled with Heart Of Suwanee...but I will be taking my dog to Heart Of Suwanee Animal Hospital for her yearly vaccines when I fly home for Holidays. Thank you for everything you do Dr. Golden, Dr. Jackson and staff at Heart Of Suwanee Animal Hospital. You are greatly appreciated, Chelsey & Summer

"Heart of Suwanee" -- more like "Heartless of Suwanee." Anybody taking their beloved pet here DESERVES TO BE WARNED. When my 5 year old American Eskimo Koda began getting sick (reverse sneezing and vomiting) in October, we took him to Dr. Golden where she determined it was nothing serious and sent him home with some allergy medicine. However, he would only get better for a week before his symptoms returned. In the follwoing weeks, he started having serious lethargy and pale gums. After 3 more visits and some inconclusive blood work in the same month, we were again reassured that he was fine. He was given some anti-nausea medicine for the vomiting and Dr. Golden said the pale gums were nothing to worry about. (turns out this was not true) But by the end of November, on a Sunday, his symptoms came back, this time with dramatic weight loss, diarrhea and blood in his stool. We took him to Heart of Suwanee immediately on a Monday morning where he was given anesthesia and pain medicine for a rectal exam. He was also given fluids, as he was seriously dehydrated. On Monday evening, when we went to pick him up, their staff insisted that we let Koda stay because the medication had caused him to be so woozy that he had lost control of his bowels. We were told that they could better care for him there, as it would be too messy for us. When we left him in their care, we were AGAIN reassured he was fine and were led to believe that somebody would be monitoring him through the night, as he was too sick to be sent home with us -- this was not the case. By Tuesday morning we got a call from their staff telling us that our precious baby didnt make it through the night. Our beloved Koda, who was so young and healthy only a few weeks prior, died cold and alone in a cage at Heart of Suwanee because they neglected to monitor him as they told us they would. There was no sense of urgency by the doctor, nor a recommendation to take him to an Emergency Vet, they simply left him to die. Please be warned from our experience. If you love your pets as we loved ours, DO NOT take them here. They do not care and will not do what it takes to care for your pets as they should.

I took my dog in for entropion surgery. They quoted me a price 100 dollars more than the original quote on the day of surgery after they had taken my dog back. When I brought my dog home they didnt give her any additional pain medicine except Metacam which is an athritis medicine equivalent to Advil. About 4 hours after I arrived home I had to take my dog to an emergency vet as Dr. Jackson wasnt available after hours (they close at 6:00 and even if your dog had surgery that day, you are unable to reach a vet at that office). Two weeks later while Dr. Jackson took out the stitches, my dog pulled back (what a surprise) and Dr. Jackson ripped open her surgical site. He charged me 2 anesthesia fees and a suture fee to repair his mistake. I contacted the office several times over a two week period to try and get the charges reversed. I was passed around until the Owner Dr. Hall sent me an ugly e-mail which did not address any of my concerns, did not give me a refund, and threatened to sue me. I had to take my dog to another doctor and pay to have the stitches removed. They dont have after hours care either. When your pet has surgery, after 6:00PM you are on your own. If there are any problems you have go to an emergency vet and pay more. Also, the medication Oti pack E which Dr. Jackson used to clear up my dogs ear infection on the day of sugery is known to cause temporary deafness. There is a review on Kudzu where another patient of Dr. Jacksons dog went deaf. My dog is just now getting her hearing back after 4 weeks. The vet never informed me of this side effect. If you want Dr. Jackson to rip your dogs face and make you pay to fix it, get an ugly e-mail from the owner after getting a 2 week run around, and have a deaf dog for at least a month, this is the place for you! In my opinion If you love your pet DONT TAKE THEM TO HEART OF SUWANEE. I felt like I was living a nightmare.

We took our 6-month old puppy to Hearts of Suwanee in order to get spayed. We shouldve done our research before going here since another review states that their dog died under their care and I am not at all surprised. They use bait-and -switch tactics of advertising spaying/neutering for $99 and then add on a bunch of additional procedural costs making the cost equivalent or more than other vets nearby. We took our puppy for a consult and they wanted a deposit in order to schedule immediately the next day. After the procedure, she was prescribed 2 strong analgesics and got extremely sick for several days. She experienced severe diarrhea, vomiting, malaise and could not eat. They do not have emergency services available on the weekend so we went to the one they refer to and was charged several hundred dollars for an emergency visit and treatment. The emergency vet stated that the analgesics were dosed to high and taking 2 different analgesics was unnecessary. When I went to go talk to the vets the following week, the front receptionists were very defensive and stated that the vets and office manager were out when I wanted to briefly speak with them about the services rendered. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone and will never take my dogs back to this place again.
