Phenomenal Experience - Top Notch Service I found this place while looking for a dental office close to my office. I looked on Yelp and voila... I found it. There were great reviews so I decided to give them a try. I called to schedule and appointment and to find out if they accepted my insurance. The young lady who answered the phone was very nice and helpful. It gave me a great first impression of the practice. She gave me additional info on where to find the forms to fill out before my visit so that I would not be delayed with paperwork. I appreciated that. They have very convenient hours so I was able to get an appointment that worked best for me. I received a reminder call a day before. When I arrived at the office, I was impressed because it is in a nice office park. Parking is plentiful and the location is convenient. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile by a young lady at the front desk. She was very endearing and pleasant to chat with. She explained what I should expect during my visit. There was no wait time to head to the back for my appointment. Once in the chair, I encountered Brenda and Rhonda. Both were very engaging and again explained what they were doing every step of the way. And guess what... Brenda mentioned that she was my birthday twin. Heyyy Brenda! ;-) Ok... back to the point. I actually appreciated the fact that she went into my history to ask me questions to make sure everything was covered before they got started. I have been to a few offices that did not do that prior to starting the service. One amazing thing that stood out to me was instead of them just telling me what they were doing and the status of my teeth. They used a digital dental camera to take pics so that I could look on the screen and see in color what my teeth looked like before and after. They did a fantastic job. The dentist was also very professional. Everyone was so detailed and meticulous. I see why this office got such great reviews. I will definitely refer friends, family and coworkers. I am grateful to have experienced such a caring practice. Genuine thank you... to the entire staff of Optima!

I usually dont write reviews, but this must be said. I decided to check out Optima Dental due to the good reviews. I had to make two appointments for cleaning and fillings. The first appointment was okay, the second appointment was a disaster! At my second appointment, I did the second part of my cleaning and I got some fillings done. I had a small chip on the corner of one of my front teeth and I asked if Dr Houenou would smooth the chip out so it wouldnt look too noticeable. He agreed to do it. At this point my mouth was still pretty numb from the fillings. He began and started to smooth out the tooth. Next thing I knew, he started to do the same with my OTHER tooth! I asked him, "what are you doing???" And he said he wanted to smooth my other tooth so my two front teeth would look the same. I stopped him immediately! Luckily was aware of what was going on because my mouth was still numb from the fillings. I couldnt believe what I was hearing! Are you kidding me?? I did not give him permission to touch my other tooth! If there is a need to do something additional, YOU ASK THE PATIENT FIRST AND LET THEM DECIDE. You dont do what you feel is best because you dont have to live with it everyday, THE PATIENT DOES. The patient has to be happy with what they see when they look in the mirror. You have no right to make that decision for anyone. There was no communication what so ever! I was furious and I still am! My teeth are now uneven and I cant look in the mirror without wanting to cry. I called the office and spoke to someone named Brenda to discuss the matter. She said she remembers who I am and she would give me a call back. She never did. So I assume no one cares. Again, if there was some communication in that office from the time I laid in the chair, until now, I wouldnt have to write this review. This was the worst experience ever. I will not be returning.

I would highly recommend Optima Dental as your premier dental facility!. Dr.Houenou and his staff provides an exceptional dental experience on every visit. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with exceptional customer service. The staff is courteous, friendly and very professional. The office is emaculate and is equipped with state of the art dental equipment. If you are hesitant to visit the dentist due to anxiety or past bad experiences, this is the place for you! Dr. Houenou is awesome is speaking to you about your dental needs, calming you fears, and delivering an exceptional dental experience. He is very knowledgeable and is abreast of all of the new cutting edge technology in dentisty. I have been a patient of Dr. Houenou for over 12 years now and I travel over 25 miles to see him and I must say it is well worth the trip. I have had nothing but great experiences with his practice and I encourage you to make Optima Dental your family dentistry destination. 5 stars in my book!! I have been a patient at Optima Dental since 2015 and this has been one of the best experiences I have had at a dentist office. The staff is always so warm and friendly. Tina is such a gem. So sweet and kind and always so helpful with any questions. Its always a joy talking with Rhonda as she cleans my teeth. Informing me of the best ways to keep my teeth healthy. Ive honestly began to practice better oral healthcare after our conversations. She told me once how starch foods could increase my chances of getting cavities after having a filling once. I changed my diet significantly and 6 months later she saw a major improvement in my teeth. And of course Dr. Houenou! A funny man and really made sure that my teeth were always in tip top shape. My first time here we sat and chatted in his office to make sure I was welcomed properly and remembered things about me each time I cam back. Very personable. I am moving in a couple weeks out of state so I will be sad to leave this place. Ive had a great time getting to know the staff and connecting with them. I absolutely recommend this place!

These professionals are absolutely AWESOME! I initially had doubts due to certain circumstances, however, after the staff (Dentist, assistants, etc.) took the time to sit me down, and break things down in laymans terms, I was absolutely convinced, that I needed to be here. I even got great tidbits during the process (teeth cleaning, x-rays, overview of teeth, condition of good/bad teeth). I loved their honesty, professionalism, friendliness, approach (offering of complimentary coffee/water) and most of all, their level of patience , thoroughness, explanation (I ask a lot of questions, hence, this detailed & long post), and lastly, their level of Expertise!! I will certainly be back for my regular 6-month check-up, as it had been several years prior to now. With their assistance and encouragement, I will definitely be back! Go see them and you will not be disappointed! Thanx to Dr. Houemou, Jane, Rhonda & Tina, this was the most pleasant visit to the Dentist, that Ive ever had... and I can be a handful LOL ... tootles!
