I have always been terrified of the dentist, hence why I had never gone. Not to mention, by the time I decided to go, I was extremely embarrassed about the condition of my teeth. When I called Greene Dental Associates to make an appointment, the receptionist was very empathetic and sweet. She never once lectured me or made me feel bad about myself. She got me in for an appointment the same day. Although I was nervous, I went in because of how comfortable I felt talking to her on the phone. The receptionist, assistants, and the dentist (Dr. Torkornoo) made me feel as comfortable as possible. They treated me like I was family and although my teeth were in terrible condition, they never judged me or lectured me. Ive been there numerous times and each time, I havent had any problems. They were great at explaining what they were doing and what they planned on doing. Sure, Dr. Torkornoo does have a strong accent but he will do his best to help you understand, all you have to do is ask. He is a genuine man who is there to help you achieve the smile youve always dreamed of. I never wait longer than 30 minutes to get treated unless I come in early, and even then, sometimes they can get me back sooner. They do not offer nitrous oxide or sedation which I desired, but even without it, I was just fine. The Novacaine works wonders and they do everything in their power to make you feel at ease. Words cannot express my gratitude for the wonderful service I have received at Greene Dental Associates. I will keep coming back as long as I have to and I will recommend them to everyone that I know. I dont think I could have found a better dentist.

In my experience, the dentist is not very friendly at all. When I told him what order I wanted the work done in my mouth, after all it is my insurance and my money... He argued with me. Second he wanted to pull two teeth and put bridges in when the Dentist I saw after him told me crowns were all that was needed. choice between me paying $400 with insurance and approximately 6 grand with insurance. Third of all ... the reason I went to him in the first place, I had a loose crown that I wanted replaced (one of the two teeth mentioned above) and he told me that it was not possible to put in a new crown or replace the old one and a bridge woudl have to be put in. In the process of putting a temporary filling over the area the crown was taken out of, he put a hole in the tooth in front of it and the filling he put in to fix it fell out already... He then threw away the old crown, which it turns out, I could have had the second dentist put that one back in instead of having to create a brand new one... I really dont know how this guy got a license to practice dentistry...

Dr. Percy Torkornoo is an immigrant and a former US military officer. His not the suave, heavily-advertising dentist of the dental industry stereotype. As others have noted in these reviews, hes a bit vigorous with his technique of injecting anesthetic, but his work is of high quality and his prices are very reasonable. I am especially impressed with his staff - overall friendliness and competency. I came to Percys clinic with parlously bad dental health, not having brushed quite literally for years. He was not judgmental or dismissive, and worked with me to restore dental health, and most recently to straighten my teeth and to install implants. Dentistry is never pleasant, and yes, I hate injections or drilling. But Percy makes it survivable, and the final product definitely worth it!

The most painful dentist I have ever been to. I have never experienced so much pain from a needle with any other dentist, ever.

Came here when my usual dentist dropped my insurance. I needed two crowns. After fitting me with a temporary (2 weeks), I came back, and he shot me with lydocaine only to find out that the permanent hadn't even arrived yet. They'd never even called to tell me. So I'm completely numb, for no reason. He shows no compassion with lydocaine injections. Instead of going slow so it doesnt hurt so much, he injects it quickly and the sudden pressure is horribly painful, no mattrr how prepared you are.

My wife and I both had an excellent experience with this dentist and his staff in 2016. All the staff were friendly, courteous, and responsive to our questions. For those who submitted negative reviews, it could be from a long-ago past experience or visit and also the reaction of each patient may be a function of the complexity, gravity, or urgency of the service needed. Patient-Doctor relationships go both ways. Give your doctor a chance to provide you a great experience and good treatment outcome.

I did not have a good experience at the Greene Dental Office. After two visits, I feel that Communication was poor and I received little feedback or information on the condition of my teeth. They do not have a hygenist, the dentist cleans your teeth, and I did not feel that my teeth were sufficiently clean afterward. I also experienced gum problems after receiving a crown and ended up going to a new dentist.

This is a heinous practice. My hygeinist was new and terrible. The dentist is an African man who doesnt even introduce himself so I have no idea what his name is or how to pronounce it. He didnt say hi. This is a low budget practice and low quality practice. If physicians had this sort of practice the Medical Board would shut us down.

Worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. Never tells you what is going on, you have to ask all the questions. I never experienced as much pain as I did after getting a few teeth extracted. I will not be going back to this dentist again. Just overall, a terrible experience.

I had a good experience, The dentist was very affordable and took care of all the issues I needed. I had fillings that needed to be done and he took care of quite a few of them the first visit, and will be completely done in two visits.
