Dr Brian Buchanan has been my dentist for about 6 years. I was initially impressed by his professionalism, which I felt was in par to my previous dentist who was in Buckhead. Getting great service, and finding a great dental care professional was important to me. My teeth are my treasure. Afterall, I used to travel 30 miles to Colony Square, and after meeting with him I decided to give the business to a local dentist who was closer to home. I noticed recently, that Dr Brian Buchanan is rarely there. and apparently his daughter, a recent graduate, is running the practice. At least, Ive gotten her the last year and a half. About a year ago I expressed concern to her that I would have to be constantly flossing a particle area. I got a filling or whatever procedure she recommended. To date, Im still having the same problem. Yet, I still came back because of the service I received from the dad. The last straw however was last week. I came in for my semi-annual cleaning and was told about a teeth whitening special they were having. I thought it was a great idea since I was getting married in 3 weeks. I paid upfront, Dr. Zerita scheduled the appt. I was planning a wedding for 150 guests, moving into a new home, all the while still leading and managing a team at my full time job. Truthfully, I was already feeling overwhelmed. I missed my appt but showed up on another day. I remember telling her I was available the ENTIRE week before the wedding. I went in the Tuesday, only to find out that I was charged a $50 no show fee. I asked to speak to Dr. Z, I felt she would remember me and the conversation we had about how hectic my week was. However, she never came. Finally she sent someone to say that unless I paid the $50, she would not start the whitening that I already paid $250 for. I asked about 4 times for her to speak with me, because, truthfully Im all about relationships and I felt it was unfair because I did tell her I was under a lot of pressure juggling this wedding.She refused. She was not busy, the office was empty. Finally, she came over and said, she would refund my $250, charge the $50 no show, and send my file to another dentist of my choice.This was the Tuesday before my wedding. Based on her "professional" experience I would not have enough time to recover from any symptoms. Same person that said oh it only takes max 24 hrs for sensitivity to go away. I hope this review isnt too long, but I was appalled. I am a Manager for over 15 years. I would want to talk to any client who expressed concern. Be mindful, at no point did I raise my voice, or conduct, myself in any way that would in turn force her to make a strong decision to deny service. I was getting married in 4 days and added stress to me to scramble to find someone else. I graduated with a Masters in Organizational Leadership and Development. It doesnt take a Degree to know how to handle clients if they are not happy. Everyone deserves a chance to be listened to. Its clear she needs to work on that. People skills will guarantee return clients. In my line of business they say, 1 happy customer will tell another. One unhappy customer, will tell ten. Everyone heard about that day she chose to get rid of a great client. Even though, I was forgiving when she failed to fix the problem with my teeth.

I have been with this dentist for years and have been happy to recommend them and continue to come back. I am not sure what happened but I have been LESS THAN PLEASED AND OUTRAGED about there current billing practices. I would agree on one amount and get half the work done only to be told that they change the terms and want me to pay double and triple the amount BEFORE i can get the work they started finished!!! This is the reason why insurance companies have predetermination letters. Patients are supposed to trust that what they agree to is the terms that matter. They have consistently changed the terms when the work is not done leaving you with no choice, instead of telling you up front what to expect. I will NEVER come back and am truly hurt and disappointed because i really like them, but I am not made of money and they dont seem to care at all, because the doctor wont call me as i requested to straighten this out Update: Upon talking to my insurance they completely overcharged me and i was not responsible for what they were asking, and they should have known better since they had the amount to be paid from my insurance. BE CAREFUL with there billing practices, contact your insurance and verify all numbers before you pay them anything, and before you get any work done! I am still waiting for them to contact me before i file a grievance with my insurance. TRUST i never wanted to do any of this, but they have to do better !

There are few times I can recall a dentistry experience as pleasant and excellent as it was with Dr. Buchanan from Dental Dreams LLC. The office space was clean, organized, had beautiful pictures of patients and their before and after pictures. The staff is diverse, respectful, and efficient! I arrived to a warm smile and welcoming voice from the receptionist and was walked through my teeth cleaning and filling procedure. I was immediately met with the hygienist to take x rays and trust me it was not a pretty sight! Due to relocating multiple times in the last few years I hadnt been able to find the right dentist but Im so lucky to have found Dr. Buchanan who treats everyone with respect and provides all patients with beneficial information to improve their oral health. I was overdue to get a teeth cleaning and Dr. Buchanan provided the best practices and tips to keep them clean in between appts. I also had light decay on the two front teeth and needed to have a filling to cover it and Dr. Buchanan. My teeth looked brand new after Dr. Buchanan covered them and I truly have a Brand New smile!!! If you are looking to find a smart, dynamic, patient and kind dentist in the Atlanta Metro area, look no further than Dental Dreams. I highly recommend Dr. Buchanan because she is changing lives one smile at a time!

I love this dentist office! I had a full deep cleaning and didnt feel a thing! I was extremely anxious prior to my appointment due to a horrible experience with a different dentist in the past. They made sure I was comfortable and checked thoroughly to make sure all target areas were removed! I will be back to complete my treatment plan and have no dread as I used to! Thank you!
