A little over two weeks ago, I took my kitty Boots to Southern Crescent Animal Clinic. While there, we found out that he had fluid in his chest and was told their recommendation was to put him down as it was felt he had cancer or possible heart failure. This was not told to us in a nice way and we left there feeling defeated. I decided that we needed a second opinion, so we showed up 30 minutes before Crossroads opened and sat in the parking lot. Dr. Watson walked up to the truck and asked what was going on with our kitty. We explained what was going on and he opened the doors a little early for him and took him straight back. Dr. Watson was extremely caring and honest when it came to my sweet kitty. He recommended that Boots go see a internal specialist to get an ultrasound to find out what was going on. He set up the appointment for us and everything. Then, he allowed us to keep Boots in oxygen while we waited for the time to bring him to the specialist. Unfortunately, after an ultrasound showed Boots had a mass behind his heart, a 2 day hospital stay and biopsy of the mass. It was found out that Boots had a carcinoma that was aggressive and fast growing. He had filled with 60 ml of fluid that was drained the first day, and then 100 ml of fluid the next day. At this point, his odds went down to pratically 0, as the heart vessels were believed to be involved. We had to eunthize him on Wednesday, May 17. This was a horrible time for me and my family as my 12 year old cat was considered to be one of our own kids and was raised with my oldest child (hes 12 as well). Crossroads and their care was amazing and reasonably priced. Due to this, I also brought in my other cat Bobcat for a well checkup last Friday in which she aced! Dr. Allen saw her, and he was amazing with her and with my kids, as he allowed each one of them to listen to Bobcats heart with his stethoscope. Then, today, I received a beautiful hand written card from Dr. Watson and the Crossroads staff expressing their condolences for Boots. The care this vet has for their clients is amazing. They have impressed me greatly and will be my vet for all of my animals for now on. Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to express my gratitiude!

They have been my vet for almost 8 years and I am sad to say I will never go back. I called to get a quote to find out how much it would be to get my Chihuahua fixed. I was told I had to bring her in for an exam and then they would give me a quote. I brought her and my other dog in a few weekends later and the exam done. I was given a quote that seamed very reasonable so I booked my appointment that day. When I got there to have the procedure done the quote was suddenly almost $50 higher and their explanation was they must have forgotten something on the original quote. I had already rearranged my schedule to have this done or I probably would have walked out. I got a call later that day and said everything went very well and I could pick her up at 3:30. I was originally told as long as I picked her up by 6 I was fine now Im told I have to get her by 5. Now I have to rearrange my work schedule again. I get there to pick her up and the bill is another $50 higher then quoted. I asked did something go wrong that I need to know about. No one can explain why the price increased once again. After going over the bill several times she agrees to take the surgical exam off like she was doing me a favor (I had already paid for the exam when I came in the previous week). Nice to know the vet I trusted has turned into an unethical business... I will not be back

I love Crossroads Animal Hospital. Each of the vet techs behind the front desk, as well as the ones working behind the scenes with the vets are kind and courteous, always happy to go beyond the call off duty to help. They all greet me with a smile and enthusiasm. Even though Dr. Wilson is our vet, I have had an occasion to see each one of the vets on staff at one time or another. I have had a great experience with each one and would highly recommend any of them. However, Dr. Wilson is absolutely wonderful. He is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things. He cares about animals and treats each one with compassion. He has been our vet for years and I would not consider another vet for my dogs. Since my dogs are getting on in age, I have spent a lot of time at the hospital. Dr. Wilson and many of the staff members are like family to me. They greet me by my first name and know all of my dogs names. They know me when I call on the phone and treat me with kindness and respect.

This was our first visit to Crossroads since I recently moved to Tyrone. I found the clinic to be a very clean and beautiful building, and the staff were very friendly and caring. From signing in to being seen, the wait time was minimal. My whippet and I were assigned to see Dr Jeff Allen. He was very friendly towards us, and was compassionate and caring with Snitch. He explained everything that he would be looking for in the exam and test results. The next day he called with the results and explained about the treatment that he advised. Snitch was treated with antibiotics for 2 weeks and Im happy to report that she is feeling much better now. We will be following up with a dental cleaning in a week or so. I have since taken my other whippet, Batman, in for a well visit and was just as pleased. Thank You, Crossroads and Dr Jeff.

This has been, hands down, the best vet experience weve ever had. Over the years Ive always dreaded the vet. It was costly, time consuming and the staff was never friendly. But this place is such a breath of fresh air. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so caring and attentive. We took our two girls and they were treated like family. Dr. Jeff has won us over. He was phenomenal. Thorough and extremely friendly. You can tell this is a man who is passionate about his job and his love for animals. I cannot praise this location enough. On top of all that, we were taken care of very quickly. No long waiting time at all, and the cost is amazing. I paid for both dogs, multiple vaccines, and exam what I used to pay for one dog and one vaccine. The girls will never go anywhere else. I cannot praise and thank everyone enough.

Our experience at Crossroads Animal Hospital was exceptional. Having just moved to the area, our kitty needed surgery, a possible tumor. I posed the question at a meeting of our homeowners as to who I should take her to and everyone suggested Crossroads. Im so glad. The staff and doctors there were so welcoming, caring and took the time to explain everything, answered many questions, and gave me a detailed estimate with several scenarios. Dr. Bowen the "cat doctor" was great on our initial visit, and Dr. Allen who did the surgery saved our sweet Annie. Victoria the surgical assistant kept me informed throughout the day of surgery through post op care, and has called to check on her. Thank you all, and we will highly recommend you to others who ask about a good animal hospital.
