I was a new patient of Dr. Patel in September 2016 and knew I needed extensive dental work. I was empressed with the friendly office staff and Dr. Patels office and the best dental equipment and technology. After check up, Dr. Patel gave me a work up of $6,232.60 to repair my teeth. I am 72 years old and was in a state of shock and said just pull the bottom teeth and give me a plate. Dr. Patel has a great sales personality and told me if I brushed, flossed, and regular cleanings, I should not need dental work for 5 more years. Therefore I decided to have the work done and financed through Care Credit. In the plan I paid for a cleaning and check up two months later and a third check up in December. The second check up he said I had four more cavaties that needed crowns and that would cost $4,800 and I was so shocked till I left the office furious as he gave me an explanation that the teeth just cracked because of age. Anyway, I went back in December for another check up and he said he would cap the four teeth for $3,500. After I left the office I got a call they failed to give me a check for an overpayment of $403. Now here am with $6,000 on a credit card and if I dont get the crowns done, I cant wear the bridge. Yes Dr. Patel does good work as he is smiling and charging outrageous prices for his work. I recommend you get a second opinion before you use Family & Cosmetic Dental Care. No pain, no judgment - and most of all - no regrets! Before I conjured up the courage to walk into Dr. Patel’s office and face that chair, which I had dreaded for many years, I called to discuss my dental issues and explained how afraid I was. The friendly voice on the phone was very kind and non-judgmental in explaining the process. When I walked in – I was welcomed with open and understanding arms and got through the first visit with no problem at all. After my next couple visits, Dr. Patel resolved some initial and urgent issues without any pain and without judgment. The respect and caring attitude of the entire team along with the personal follow up phone calls I received from Dr. Patel gave me the confidence to commit to a comprehensive treatment plan, which started on Tina’s promise to ‘hold my hand’ throughout the entire process and teach me to smile again, so I started the journey to getting it ALL done… Today, after 3 years of treatment that included laser treatment for gums (I highly recommend this), root canals, sedations, extractions, implants and other scratch and dent repairs; it’s ALL done and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results! Tina never let go of my hand as promised, and I got my smile back the moment Dr. Patel congratulated me on a healthy mouth! That initial phone call three years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You guys are the best!

I saw Dr. Patel ONCE. After an hour with the assistant and hygienist and being asked the exact same questions over and over, I finally saw the dentist who asked me the same questions and I could tell he wasnt even listening. He told me I had 5 cavities that he could only put silver fillings in. Then told me it would cost almost $500 after insurance to fix all of them. I went to a different dentist for a second opinion. I signed the release and requested Family & Cosmetic Dental forward my plan to the new dentist on three separate occasions. They never did. At the 2nd dentist it turned out I only had two cavities and they were so shallow I didnt even require novocain. He showed me my xrays and specifically pointed out there were no cavities in the teeth Dr. Patel claimed. with x-rays, a deductible and two fillings it was only $90 compared to Dr. Patels outrageous rates. Not impressed, you should be ashamed Dr. Patel. Your patients trust you and that you are giving them the best possible care. Its very disheartening to think there are professionals out there like you.

My experience at Family and Cosmetic Dental Care has been absolutely PHENOMENAL! It is so difficult to find a dentist office that you can actually trust and feel comfortable going to. On my first initial visit, I knew I needed work done and the staff were so helpful in getting me as comfortable as possible. Taylor, Elizabeth, and Nicole were so welcoming when I came into the office. Elizabeth was also great with helping me discover payment options and plans as well! Dr. Patel, Dr. Smith, Kristin, and Tina were quite frankly the best dental staff I have come across since searching for a new dentist office. Both dental Assistants, Kristin and Tina, were so helpful with helping me become comfortable and calm (I have always been petrified of the dentist), and Dr. Patel and Dr. Smith were so knowledgeable with what they were doing! I have never felt more secure with my dentist and I will be referring Dr. Patel to everyone I know!

I absolutely love this office! The staff here is amazing and patient! I do not favor the dentist and have high anxiety whenever i go, but the ladies and Dr.Patel and very relaxing and make the patient feel very comfortable. I may have Squeezed Brias hand off being nervous, but I never feel anything and that kind of patient care goes a long way! The front staff is awesome and calm. When I fist made an appointment, i made sure to tell them how nervous I get and they encourage me and help me through every step! Thanks to Tina, I get a plan and cost rundown of all that needs to be done with smiles and lots of reassurance! I NEVER feel rushed and always get the best care, and they take care of what can be fixed at the time and helping me for the future! Great dental office, would reccomend to everyone!

I first started visiting Dr. Patel and staff around 2007 after searching for a new local provider. My greatest praise for Dr. Patel is that I KNOW he and his staff care for my overall oral health and emphasizing preventative treatments and practices to reduce the need for more extensive problems that result over time. The the dental work that I have required has been second to none in terms of quality, durability and aesthetics. During these procedures Im always made comfortable and treated in a timely fashion. A few times Ive required emergency assistance over holidays and Dr. Patel & Tina have responded promptly even when the office is closed. I appreciate having somewhere I can go and leave knowing my best interest was the first thing on their mind.

In less than 2 years my very expensive crown had a hole in it and had to be replaced. They pressure patients to get more work done than medically necessary and up-sell cosmetic dentistry the entire time you are in the chair. I have known 3 other people who have attempted to use this dental office and they have experienced similar pressure and significant expenses. After getting a second opinion, my father in law ended up needing less than half of the dental work that this office prescribed and for thousands of dollars less than Patels office charged. My wife got a second opinion and was told the treatment Patel recommended was not medically necessary. They also offer incentives to patients in return for 5 star google reviews. No way I would ever go back.
