I cant begin to describe how excellent this facility is. My brother-in-law was here for two weeks. We sadly had to make the decision to remove him from a ventilator and he passed away here. THE STAFF IS WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE! They are so friendly and caring - everyone from the nurses, aides, janitors, cafeteria workers, and all of the other medical disciplines involved. This must be a great place to work because they ALL have wonderful attitudes. We were initially worried when we heard he had to be transferred to a long term care facility. We thought it may be like a nursing home. How wrong we were! This IS a real hospital with all of the equipment, knowledge, and expertise you would expect in a hospital. But this place is different. It is actually better. The staff all work together for a common goal - to rehabilitate and heal the patient. I am a nurse and have worked in a few hospitals. I have never seen patient care this good. We will always be so appreciative of the care our loved one received here. They helped ease the pain in losing a loved one. We never worried about leaving at night or for a few hours. So I say a big thank you to all of the staff here (especially to Jenn and Max). And to whoever runs this place - you must be doing something right - it shows through all of your staff! Also, this place is spotlessly clean and in great condition.

The WORST staff I have ever seen. I went there recovering and left back to sacred heart in critical condition and on a breathing tube. The nurses not only ignored me Everytime I pushed my call light, a few even came in and moved it across the room so I couldnt access it, and when forced to come In and do their job more than once I was put on a bed pan then left to go on break so I would be left for 20 minutes in pain. I didnt do one bit if physical therapy and after their neglect put me back in critical condition, they "lost" my belongings, and avoided my families attempt to collect them as long as possible, but only offered to replace a couple things (the cheapest versions possible) but my pictures ect cannot be replaced without any apologies, just attitude. Thanks to the wonderful sacred heart and St Lukes staff I made a full recovery from the neglect I suffered there. Dont let your family go to this death trap!!!

My mom was transferred here from Sacred Heart last year. She was here about a month and there was only one nurse who was attentive and knew what she was doing. They were short on rooms and needed my Mom out as soon as possible. She was in there recovering from pneumonia, a staff infection in here lungs and chronic COPD. There was an air hazard advisory warning for the Lewis Clark Valley and she asked that they please wait until that was lifted to release her because she felt her breathing wasnt strong enough. She, my brothers and myself were very worried about her coming back to the valley with the air so bad due to the Orofino fires. They didnt care and discharged her. She died 4 days later. I was on my way from Oregon to pick her up the following week. NEVER let your loved ones come here if at all possible.

Best thing I can say it was clean. Nurse practitioner were wonderful! Son had one cna who was caring and excellent. Rest of staff was uncaring at best. Housekeeper was more caring than most professional staff. Never had a doctor decline to talk to me before, this one did. He referred us to the nurse practitioner, who I thought he supervised. The case manager was a complete waste of time. She changed her story every every time a different person talked to he telling one couple our son had been eating since admitted and refusing food. There was a npo on his door and white board. Apparently she didnt know that means nothing by mouth. Dont make the same mistake we did. Do not send your family there. Horrible

IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. I was transferred here to recover after an extended hospital stay. Very clean. Nice staff. The physical therapy program is terrific. HOWEVER! The doctors treated me horribly. Instead of focusing on my recovery, they put me thru a hellish unannounced drug detox from the prescribed medication I had been taking for years for an unrelated issue. Unacceptable. Plus, they are not a drug rehab facility!
