I had an incredible GREAT Experience at JFK during the delivery of my daughter! From the get-go I was skeptical about what my experience would be like, since I had heard so many bad stories about the hospital from other people! However, I was happily surprised from the moment I got there! Staff was so attentive and nice! During my labor I had two wonderful nurses [Angela & Ana] that explained every single thing that was being done and answered all the questions I had!! They were so sweet, made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I knew I was in good hands, even though they were extremely busy! My Labor Nurse, Analissa was the BEST!!!! She had the most smoothing, calming, reassuring voice and just the right words during my whole labor! Such a great Coach by my side!! Cant thank her enough!! My postpartum nurses; Jeanie and Pet were also excellent care givers!! The Secretary Nurse; Yvette was extremely sweet and attentive to any calls I made requesting my nurse. I also have to mention a wonderful staff member of the hospital, Veronica Villa! She is one of the food servers there and I have to say she was extremely nice and delivered such an amazing service. I have to give compliments to the Chef, Jose [ I believe is his name] the food was delicious! Yes, hospital food that was actually good!! I would say much better than just "good". Like I said before, I had an amazing experience there. The staff was phenomenal, they deserve a special treat or something for all of their hard work!! Each person I mention definitely takes pride in their occupation, and left a great impression on me! -Nancy Villa Delivered Khalie on 12-22-15 4:46am

***I strongly suggest anyone who has had a bad experience at JFK prior to this year to give them another chance. There have been a ton of changes made, and the service is so much better than it used to be!*** The ER previously has been slow, and the wait took a long time. Now that they have made major changes to the directors and administration, the ER is greatly improving. There of course is still some what of a wait, but that is to be expected when there are only 12 beds in the ER and at times up to 30 people in the waiting room. They take you in based on severity of presenting problem, so if you come in because you have a cold, of course you will be waiting longer than people who come in for serious issues. They are working on expanding the ER, improving the throughput, and have made great improvements on the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff. I have taken my daughter to the ER twice recently, and been twice this year myself. All four times we had great services, and only had to wait for a couple hours one time when it was really busy. Aside from the issues with the ER, the hospital is actually a great hospital, with great staff. I had my daughter here, and also spent 4 days with her in Pediatrics. I dont have a single complaint about either of those stays. Our nurses were fabulous. Very kind and answered any questions we had. I would definitely prefer coming here than "Eisendollar" who only cares about people who have good insurance!

This place is a joke!!!!!! Had to rush my mother by ambulance( which that will be another review I will be writing about!) to the hospital yesterday (8/4/17) she is complaining about throwing up all day and went into the living room and she told me she wasnt feeling that something was right my mom has got this weird feeling before so she said she is feeling like she was before and I screamed for my father who was outside at the time because our AC broke. So as I ran outside to get her she leans into the couch face first and as Im coming back inside she falls from the couch to the floor and start to shake like seizure movement type. I call 911 immediately she starts to tell my dad she is having trouble breathing, her throat, whole entire face, and tongue was swollen. They took just about 20 mins to get my mom! So after that crapy services we are at jfk and they run one test which was a CT scan of her head ONLY! too see what it was that caused her to be shaky and they couldnt find anything and told her she need to check in with her primary doctor that they cant find anything. So talk me why we had to take my mom back to the hospital this morning at 4:30am (8-5-17) because she was basically soaked in blood! And her bowel movements were completely covered in blood!!! But they didnt want to help my mom I will be calling the head board or chief of hospital on money morning and complaining!!!! Never again I how you all rot in hell.

The staff of JFK is FABULOUS!!!! I say this because its the staff that makes a facility, not the other way around, the physical environment is pleasant and well maintained BUT its all about the staff. A family member was an inpatient for several weeks, during which time I was present for numerous shifts and health care activities. NEVER during my time visiting did I get the feeling that I was intrusive with my questioning (I questioned a lot) or a nuisance. The staff answered all questions or directed me to who could answer my question. The most important thing though was the care that was provided my family member. The care was excellent. The professionalism, knowledge, and caring of the staff will resonate with my family for a life time. A few individual recognitions (due to privacy I will not use full names) Dr. E I truly believe that your timely decision making saved the life of a loved one. Thank you for your humanity. JM you and your sleuthing skills were extraordinary thank you for going the extra mile and finding us. Carolyn thank you for the home you found. Realizing this is a length review My Family and I wish to thank every care provider and staff member at JFK for the outstanding service you provided our family. You will always be remembered

Went in to ER on Thursday night at 10:30. Maybe 20 people also waiting. Acute kidney pain, throwing up, uncontrollable shivering. Told security lady at desk my wife was unable to get up or out of our motor home. She immediately got help. My wife within 15 minutes was seen by triage and given anti nauseous medication and something to reduce her 103 temperature. Within 30 minutes she was in a room visited by a doctor and RNs. The staff was very kind, efficient, and very organized. I didnt get everyones names but the male nurse that did ekg was terrific. We wish him the best when he starts medical school. He will be a fantastic doctor, and nurse Sonia was attentive and made the experience the best weve ever had considering the circumstances when visiting an Emergency Room. 5 Stars Plus

I think you're extremely racist.... I can definitely imagine what kind of person you are. I understand about rating JFK bad because I certainly know they have a bad service but first you express yourself bad about "illegal immigrants" then you go to mexicali. For your major information the people that work there are also MEXICANS and those were the ones that helped you with your "broken arm". Seriously, you need to learn how to appreciate things. Ohhh and I truly think you should get yourself a health insurance that way you can go to eisenhower and not jfk....
