Came into the emergency room with severe chest and abdominal pain, nausea, difficulty breathing and short of breath. I could barely walk. I was made to wait before I was checked in, then asked to change registration stations. They needed my insurance information before anything could be done. The receptionist then got a wheelchair for me and said "theyll be right out to get you, I told them chest pain". 20 minutes I waited. The nurse came out and then asked me if I could walk. By then I was in severe distress and the pain was increasing. They went through their cardiac routine, and labs, and determined it was not a heart attack. They gave me some IV pain medicine. Decided it was a severe gallbladder attack, so sent me for an ultrasound. The tech was nice and efficient. She showed me what she was looking at. When I got back, the blood pressure cuff and EKG leads were on the floor. The nurse picked the cufc off of the floor to put it back in my arm. I asked her if she was going to clean it, before using it on me. She was very sarcastic, and said she could get some baby wipes, which she did, then said, now its wet, and will have to dry. What??? There was a friend with me who is a health care worker. He grimaced when she picked up the cuff from the floor to use on me. I felt as if this were all an inconvenience for them, from the time I walked in. I am an old ER nurse, I know how ERs are supposed to function. This is certainly not it! I was discharged with no clear response or resolution, and told to come back, if the symptoms worsened. They did, I went to another hospital, and what an amazing refreshing difference. I will not be using this organization as my provider. I am changing my PCP today.

My nephew had oral surgery there this morning. The pre-op nurse, surgery nurse, and doctor were great but the post-op nurse was terrible. She would not listen to anything we had to say. After taking out his IV she used gauze that had been open for who knows how long and pre-cut coban.....we have no idea what kind of airborne pathogens or contaminates were on the gauze. The room across the hall from us was being painted and she had a whole tray full of opened gauze. We had seen all the kids leaving before him being carried by their parents. She would not let us carry my nephew and treated us like we were idiots. She also looked at my wife and I like we were some kind of disease (we are a married lesbian couple), his mom is a single mom and they live with us. We were very uncomfortable and feel that the nurse was being discriminatory because he does not live in a heterosexual household. The room we were in was also dirty. We will be insisting that any further care is done through St. Lukes.

This hospital has stolen my identity and destroyed my credit for the past 15 years! I am astonished at the lack of privacy at this facility. My medical records have been "missing" since I lived in Idaho as a minor, at the age of 17 I had my tonsils out at this facility, and ever since that time, they have had all of my information mixed with another patients information, and now this womans name and information is tied with my Credit! I have tried to solve this for the past 5-6 years when it was finally brought to my attention by a loan officer! 5 years ago I called the facility and was told they have no knowledge of me even being there, and today I sit here not knowing how to repair the damage on my credit brought on by this facility! This has been a continuing problem throughout my whole life! I have even sent proof of my identity to the credit bur. with no relief in this matter! Who is supposed to take the responsibilities of this carelessness?!

Just had brunch at the cafeteria. Our son is having surgery. We were lost as to how things worked. There was no signs for direction. So we asked the lady behind the bar if we should pay or eat first. She said grab your food and eat then pay. So thats what we did. Then when we went up to pay. The lady at the register was beyond rude. Pretty much called us stupid for eating then paying. I politely told her, as to who gave us direction on what to do, and she rolled her eyis, and said that next time we would need to pay first. So we apologized not that she cared and payed. I threw it out there that were not regulars, we had uneven been there before, and dont plan on another visit ever, and that they should put up sign for people that dont know the drill. I think race played in this too. Since im Mexican and my husband is African american, she stared at us while we ate and the vibe was incredibly uncomfortable. Thought I would vent!!!!!

Arrived at 8:05 this morning for a blood draw ordered by my doctor. I was asked to sit in the waiting area while she checked me in. Twenty-five minutes later she called my name asked for my signature then sent me to the lab area to wait for the phlebotomist. Thirty minutes later, he opened the door and it was my turn. The blood draw took 2 minutes. He informed me that the blood results would be completed within an hour but they dont fax results until the afternoon. I dont know whether I am more disturbed at this poor example of customer service or lack of care and urgency when it comes to patients who come to this organization for health concerns. I learned a lesson today, St. Als will not be my priority provider because they dont demonstrate patient care as their priority.

All my concerns were met in a friendly manner. The entire staff was efficient. The tests came back quickly so the doctor had all information when he came into my room. My son is a doctor and the emergency doctor offered to tell my son of my status. He talked on my cell phone for several minutes. He was most helpful and went above and beyond. Nurses, X-ray techs, EMT personnel, EKG tech, blood bank personnel, admitting were all kind and responsive to my needs and anxiety. There were a total of five emergencies that came in at the same time I did and yet I had a positive experience. They were proactive in starting an IV so all my blood draws and meds administered were taken from the IV. That saved me from getting multiple punctures.

Most disgusting place Ive ever been to. Went to 2nd floor to visit friend giving birth and there was ONE public restroom for men and women to share, that was literately covered with crap to where I was on the verge of throwing up. The staff, AWFUL!!! The rudest, snobbiest women Ive ever met! You ask them any questions and they talk to you like youre a 5 year old and their answers dont make any sense at all, leading me to believe they dont know what theyre talking about in the first place! Their "nutritious" meal they gave her consisted of a coca-cola, pie, and uncovered fruit. I would rather die than EVER be treated here!
