If you or your loved one gets sent here, do whatever you can to get out... it is simply horrific. I will live the rest of my life regretting that I could not get my mother out sooner. We spent nearly five months here. To quantify all that was wrong at Complex Care would be a book but to just give you some general details here goes: My mother, who had dementia, caught the c-diff infection while at Complex Care. This came IMMEDIATELY after I told her nurse that she had fecal matter on her fingers and was left to feed herself, even though they were supposed to feed her. When I told them of the condition of her hands there was no hurry to get her clean, to remove the food until she had been cleaned, nothing. The next day I told my mothers new nurse what had happened and her response was to say "C-diff is already inside her" as if the oversight was no big deal. Within days Mom had c-diff and was now fighting the painful infection on top of her underlying serious conditions. Every day my mom was there she got worse, losing mental and physical capabilities. Fully conversational but confused when she arrived, in the span of a few months she could barely speak. I do not blame this on Complex Care but theres no doubt that the lack of care at this awful facility contributed to her rapid decline. How could it not? Getting them to clean or feed my mother consistently was a war. My family had to set up a rotation to go into the facility and make sure she was fed or cleaned EVERY DAY. We would generally arrive to see that the CNAs had not properly fed her and soon a maid/kitchen person would come take her whole meal away. Mom was on dialysis and desperately needed proteins to survive. Im certain that if we had not been there my mother would have no food most meals. Staff CNAs would praise us for doing this job. We would ask why this was happening and they would say "She said she wasnt hungry." Well, Mom had dementia and also often thought she had been in a fire and other things and had no memory of events. Once in a while wed get a kind CNA who would sit and talk to her and the meal would be eaten. These were rare occasions and most of the time successful meals were consumed only when family was attendant. Walking down the halls other families would share similar stories. I would see other loved ones constantly and they would tell me they were afraid to leave their parents for long. One constant at the place is Rhoda who truly cares... about Medicare and Medicaid... just not patients. Over and over again shed hound family and try to force my mother into situations like putting her in a bed she could fall out of to try and make some sort of Medicare predicate. We routinely found my mother with massive bruising on her arms, assuredly amplified by blood thinners, but what caused them? And why werent they brought to our attention? Our family fought a regular battle in trying to make sure that the ever-rotating cast of nurses were aware of my mothers ever-increasing needs, you know, the ones that were the reason she was sent there to heal. My mother needed a certain med with each meal. It was like groundhog day with each new nurse, many of whom had extremely limited English. Meds, including pain meds for this poor, old, wonderful woman were forgotten, or they never checked the chart to see her med schedule. To give you an example of how shady this place is, understand that my mother was on life-saving dialysis which was given in her room. One Saturday I came in and asked the nurse how Mom was and she said fine. Soon we realized that the dialysis port had not been changed which indicated that the required dialysis had not been done. We immediately got the dialysis ordered while my mothers body filled with toxins and I asked the nurse why she hadnt told us. She shrugged her shoulders and said "I told the Charge Nurse." Eventually we got my mom to a different facility where the care was exceptional and loving. It was like going from a 1 star motel to a five star hotel and I just mean the cleanliness & compassion.

My grandmother was "sentenced" to stay here and saying she was mistreated is a gross understatement. The staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful.. .. just a few examples: -staff would routinely enter her room and not say a single word, she would say hello and no response -staff would give her medication and she would as what is this for, many times they replied with smart comments or simply they didnt know just take it -staff on several occasions would bring her food in the room place it on the tray far away from her and she could not reach it and she would begin asking them for assistance in bringing the tray closer and the staff would ignore her and proceed to walk out of the room The CNAs, nurses and all support staff are incompetent and make no excuses for their lack of knowledge and have an I dont care attitude. Ive never in life seen anything like this circus, one of the "leaders" Jean, is a rude, bitter and uneducated woman, she should not be working with the public, I honestly wouldnt allow her to dog sit my neighbor’s dog. The permanent frown on her face tells you that she does not want to be there or be bothered. They answer the phones laughing and make smart comments, hang up on you, cut you off while you are speaking, place you on hold mid-sentence. Not being harsh just a bunch of rejects. The entire time my grandmother was there I DID NOT encounter ONE nice staff member. The attitudes are one thing to deal with but their lack of concern for their patients is unbelievable! My grandmother got bed sores, and staff did nothing, not one bit of sympathy even, no concern. I wont go into details but the entire way of doing things here is unsanitary. I will NEVER allow ANY family member or friend or anyone I know to receive care here. One star is more than what they deserve. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONE TO BE MISTREATED HERE!!!!

This is a horrible place. The doctor recommened a machine to be take from my sister via phone. He had never seem her or anything but whenot our family asked to speak with him the Charge RN Anna claim theres no doctors or physical therapist until Monday later to find out they were unable to care for her and she had to be transferred back to the hospital were her body almost went into shock due to the lack of care. Complex Care nurses has no empathy for patients nor family and it was made clear thats its just a check to them. Prior reviews are horrible and no one could tell me why she was transferred to a horrible place. This place should be given a negative 10 stars. Not to mention they didnt have wound care nor did they have the proper supply for her NG tube. We had to request the machine for her legs (not sure what they are called) but the ones supplied were cheap and only cover one side of her leg which make her legs prone for Blood clots. The place smelled like feces. They nurses are not educated its seems as if its not in a book they do not know how to deviate. This is supposed to be a quite place workers are loud and tend to toll their eyes alot. This is not the last thatime you will hear from me.
