My husband and I have always been pleased with the Animal Doctor so far. It was close to home, clean, very friendly, a little pricey but overall we liked it. We brought our two your old dog in to have something looked at and was told she had cancer! The three options the doc gave us were, radiation, chemo or surgery to remove it. She never referred me to a specialist which we found on our own. We took our dog to the specialist and they found absoutely nothing! Then our vet didnt agree with the specialist results! Needless to say...the particular type of dog we have is prone to Mast Cell tumors which this infection my dog had supposedly had them in there. Not once did they say "this looks abnormal, there are mast cell tumors there, but that doesnt mean its cancer, take some Benadryl and then bring her back for a biopsy....." The doc went from 0 to 100. She threw the cancer word at me without taking the proper test firsts. So BENADRYL took care of this whole thing after the vet appointment and tons of money at the specialist and not once did they offer to take additional tests to make sure or waive fees...nothing. They misdiagnosed my dog, I got a second opinion which they didnt agree with, and was only offered notes about the coversation the owner was going to have with this particular doc who I saw that day. This is a family member of mine you are misdiagnosing here, regardless if they have four legs or two! We WILL NOT be going back to that vet, EVER!

Since moving to the northwest suburbs our various animals have always been treated at The Animal Doctor. Dr. Wyatt and Dr. Daus are amazing and compassionate veterinarians. All of our animals have been shelter animals, and they all came with various chronic conditions -- epilepsy, irritable bowel disease, diabetes, and terrible allergies. They treated all of our animals as if they were their own. They are also good at coordinating care with the Emergency and Specialty Vet of McHenry County. One of our sickest dogs was picked up and dropped by a bird of prey, and they coordinated care for her IBD along with the injuries sustained by the owl. Yes, they are a bit on the pricey side, but they are always willing to work within a budget to deliver the best care. And it thrills me that theyve invested in facilities to allow boarding and rehab services on site. They are also on top of technology -- I appreciate getting information by text and having the option to deliver information online. I have no qualms in recommending Dr. Wyatt, Dr. Daus, and all the very compassionate and capable support staff at The Animal Doctor.

Called on Saturday, would not see us even though it was an emergency. Took to another vet 2 hours away. Picked up animal on Sunday night after his leg had been amputated, brought to Animal Doctor on Monday morning, said they had not heard of us even though other vet had called them, and I had talked to them on Saturday. First question to us holding injured animal was how are we going to pay. Animal died withing two hours of being there (in their defense he was in horrid shape when he got there). Was disgusted that they said they never heard from us, also first they wanted was knowing how we going to pay and not being willing to see injured animal in an emergency. I let them know this and upon exiting vet yelled that they would pray for me - as if that was any consolation.

It sickens me. Due to relocating, we needed a new Vet. The Dr. discredited my information about my pet and had no experience with a routine process. She (Dr. Garr) talked down about the previous Vet that had treated my pet for years. They moved my pet into a back room to continue so the crying was less heard. I finally had to intrude and demand my pet back to stop the process and leave. Instead of admitting that she was not well practiced with this issue, she passive aggressively questioned me and the previous doctor. Her arrogance is astonishing. They didnt have a problem then charging me $55 for the "exam". Listening, knowledge and compassion are all attributes that I look for in a veterinarian. She possesses none of these qualities.

Dr. Wyatt is a wonderful caring vet who goes way out of her way to take care of her patients. She is amazing with her diagnostic abilities. I have recommended her to friends and each one of them feels the same way. I have complete confidence in her and her staff. She has been caring for our crew for nineteen years and would never consider seeing anyone else.We have had a cavalcade of issues over the years between four different dogs and Dr Wyatt nailed it each and every time. She has dealt with everything from delivering our puppies C-Section to dealing with heart issues and chronic ailments. My dogs would actually get excited if I told them they going to go see Dr. Wyatt. She is wonderful.

My dog Zoey is a new patient to Animal Doctor and I wish I had found them before she had to have emergency surgery at another veterinary clinic. 3 weeks after her surgery I made an appointment with the Animal Doctor and had the pleasure of getting Dr. Daus. I did not know how I was going to be treated since they did not do the surgery and I was surprised by the amount of time and care the she spent with us explaining her lab results and going over her treatment plan. Alls I can say is that Dr. Daus is an amazing vet and the staff is awesome!

We cannot say enough wonderful words about our experiences over the last almost 20 years of seeing Dr Wyatt and her team at The Animal Doctor. They have taken such good care of all of our different pets during that time, with compassion, expertise, and professionalism. Theyve helped us through some very tough times both for our pets and for us, as a close friend would. Everyone on Dr Wyatts team is caring and compassionate. We are very happy and lucky to have them in our lives and the lives of all of out past and present pets. God bless!

I have been using The Animal Doctor for about 6 years. I switched my vet for convenience and my neighbor reccomended Dr. Wyatt. Dr Wyatt is compassionate and very thorough in caring for my dogs. The staff is warm and compassionate also. When I come in I feel like a friend and I know my fur- baby will get the best possible care. At times I have seen the other Doctors and am comfortable with them all. I highly recommend this Veterenary practice to anyone seeking the best care for their pet. The facility is beautiful and very clean !

Our multiple pets have been patients of the Animal Doctor, specifically Dr. Wyatt for 10+ years. The care we have received is top notch. Great care and respect for us and our pets by the doctors and the staff. This practice respects and supports your treatment decisions. I also like the fact that the practice supports local rescue shelters efforts. Although we have recently moved a little farther away, we have and will continue to use The Animal Doctor to care for our pets. Thank you Dr. Wyatt and Staff!
