My journey began on September 19, 2016 when I had finally had enough of my neck and back in excruciating pain. I have been a dancer since the age of three and frequented my family chiropractor. At this point in my life, the facility was too far to drive regularly. I “Googled” chiropractors in the area of Crystal Lake and found Crystal Lake Family Wellness and their raving reviews. I was to be the judge of that. I called up and Dr. Josh answered. I pleaded for an appointment and guidance where he graciously let me come in that very afternoon. That day would have forever changed my life. My husband and I went together where Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily welcomed us with open hearts and minds. They were excellent listeners with the true definition of bedside manner. I completed my X-Rays, consultation with Dr. Josh, was adjusted and introduced to the rolling table. The rest is history. From September on, I have been under treatment from Crystal Lake Family Wellness. Frequenting the office three times per week, completing all of the physical therapies, the at-home therapies, where I quickly saw a difference in my body all around. I have suffered from digestive issues since I was 18 (on top of being a dancer my entire life) and as my treatment at CLFW progressed, I could see a total difference. In November, I slowly began weaning away from the many pills I “needed” to take in order to eat a bite of food. This was due to the treatments and in hopes of one day becoming pregnant. It is now July, and I am now 9 months pregnant. Since finding out we were expecting in early December, their treatments have made my pregnancy smooth and feeling like a million bucks! Although we were unable to take X-Rays again after my official treatment cycle, the proof is in me! It is because of Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily that my physical and mental state of mind has changed. No need to pay for medicines or psychologists. No words can truly describe Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily. Their passion, compassion, knowledge, and love for chiropractic care and their patience is indescribable. They genuinely care about each and every person that walks through their door. Not to mention the family love that Kelly and May also add as you come and go. It is because of them that I was able to see a different side of life. I am forever grateful. Thank you! Beth H.

As a former gymnast, I have had significant neck and back pain for years. Last summer, I got fed up and decided to try chiropractic again (I have visited a chiropractor once before, and I didnt really know what was happening, other than me getting adjusted...). I knew within the first five minutes of visiting CL Family Wellness that this was not any ordinary chiropractors office. Dr. Josh spoke with me at length about what exactly chiropractic accomplishes and how. I was educated thoroughly on the practice and spinal health which made me feel very comfortable with pursuing treatment. Additionally, CL Family Wellness took x-rays and showed me just how jacked my neck, spine, and hips really are, and it was shocking (my other chiropractor did no such thing...) . After getting through the soreness of the first month, I feel AMAZING!! Not only have the doctors at CL Family Wellness helped significantly ease the daily pain I initially went there for, but I also started sleeping much better and have more energy and general happiness than before treatment. In addition, the doctors at CL Family Wellness have taught me so much about my own health and wellness along the way. I could not ask for more knowledgeable, personable, and attentive doctors and staff. Go there! You will not regret it!

I came to Crystal Lake Family Wellness eager to learn more about Chiropractic care, and the benefits that I had heard it can have. Before starting care, I considered myself to be a pretty healthy person. I didnt have any initial pain or complaints, but I still wanted to check it out. I can honestly say that since I started care here, my overall well being has dramatically improved. I used to have chronic fatigue and depression. These were things that I didnt think chiropractic care could fix. I couldnt have been more wrong! I am no longer tired throughout the day, and my state of mind is in a MUCH better place. I have also found that I am more clear headed, and am able to focus much better on tasks. Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily truly care about people. They treat each patient with love and concern, and are genuinely invested in improving the health of their patients.

The care my family has gotten here has changed our life! 8 year old that started with daily migraines and now we might deal with them once a month! 13 year old on medication for ADHD and major anxiety now off some medication and is making great strides in overcoming his anxiety! A 7 year old that still couldnt sleep through the night now is! I have dealt with a gauntlet of medical issues through all of this and the care has helped me heal quickly from two surgeries and is now getting me back on track to a much healthier life. I can now keep up with my kids! Wonderful place and wonderful staff! Highly recommend them!

Dr. Emily and Dr. Josh are AMAZING!!!! We have been patients of theirs for over a year and absolutely love them. My son has improved so much since beginning adjustments. He began to walk, has ZERO ear infections, and is a happy/healthy 2.5 year old. I also have noticed a significant difference in my health. I have terrible back pain and it has gotten SO much better with their help. I just gave birth to my second little boy and he also loves being adjusted. I cant say enough amazing things about this practice and Dr. Emily and Dr. Josh. They truly care about all of their patients so much.

Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily are the best. My family has been going to Crystal Lake Family Wellness for almost a year. We have seen an overall improvement in our health. We are active and have athletes in the family and CLFW therapies and adjustments have helped us recover faster. My son had a sinus infection starting recently and Dr. Emily did some specific adjustments and within a few hours everything came out and he was feeling 100 percent better. Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily are fantastic with our family. My 2 children ages 7 and 8 just love to go! They get adjustments and love doing their in office therapies! Chiropractic care has also improved my sons struggle with ADHD! My husband and I also love the care we receive and how it has changed our day to day lives. For me it has helped with carpel tunnel and getting rid of my migraines. My husband does not complain of back or neck pain anymore. I would recommend them to everyone.
