My experience with this place was horrible! My cat is known to get easily agitated and all over her chart says so. There is even a section that states she needs to be sedated to work with her. So i get there and let my kitty out of her cage. She is walking on the table when the vet just walks in, no knock, no nothing to let me know to pick my cat up or put her back in her cage. She continues to walk over to my cat and touch her on her back. My cat gets startled and nips at the vet. Again, its all over her chart that my cat gets nervous! The vets yells out that my cat "broke the skin." It was a tiny scratch. They want to quarantine my cat for 10 days now because the vet "got bit." The vet handled the entire situation extremely unprofessional. She should know what she is walking into. She should be trained. My cat (who is 15 and very sick...thats why we were there) shouldnt be punished because this vet didnt act appropriately! I walked my cat out and will never go back! Go somewhere with trained "doctors"

I have trusted the wonderful doctors at GVPH to care for my "fur children" for over 35 years, even before the new hospital was built at the current location. All pets are treated like the individual, special little "people" that they are by the entire staff. Mine are in love with the "girls in the back", the techs. They are wonderful! The wait time is minimal and everyone does their best to make each clients wait comfortable by offering water, coffee and lots of smiles. The doctors are amazing, spending time with and treating each patient as if they are the only one in the world. The building is well kept, very clean and never has an odor, as some animal hospitals do. The receptionists are always polite, friendly, professional and extremely knowledgable about the products, services and the patients. I would never even think of taking my precious "babies" any where else. I LOVE this place!

I take my birds in to see Dr.Parr and she is very thorough and thoughtful while handling my birds. Also, while searching for a new vet, my bird had gotten sick and a lot of vets turned me away and Dr.Parr took the time to fit me into her schedule as soon as possible. Other vets I have been to have treated them like they are just birds, so it Is nice for me to see a vet genuinely care for my birds and see their importance and value to me. I also take my cats here and they receive great care as well. The de-clawing procedure was one of the best priced I have found and they healed very quickly with no complications or infections. The facility is very clean and does not smell and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. The vets have also returned phone calls in a very reasonable time frame to help with answering questions or concerns. I highly recommend this vet facility.

I have been a client of GVPH for 30+ years, and I was a breeder (Siamese show cats) for 15 of those years. Breeders share information, and always know the BEST VETERINARIANS within driving distance!!! Dr. Locke and Dr. Harth saved the lives of more kittens than I can count. Over the years, I have always been totally satisfied with the veterinarians at GVPH, even as they came and went over the years. It is a hospital of excellence, & I would trust these vets with my life! The vet techs and vet tech assistants are also outstanding. Could not ask for more! Reception is warm, welcoming, and very easy to work with. Kudos! I tell everyone I can that this is the ONLY VETERINARY PRACTICE to take your beloved pets to - in all the south and southwest suburbs as well as Northwest Indiana, which is where I live. Cannot say enough great things about this practice!

Where to start?!?!?!? Everyone there is so nice and patient. My GSD dog is a handful but they make us all feel like dealing with him is a walk in the park!. They are genuinely concerned with the care our dog receives. When my dog was first diagnosed with Kidney issues the Dr.s and nurses followed up almost every other day. The Dr even called after hours on her time just to check up on our dog and on us to see how WE were doing with all that was going on. They send out reminders for his visits and they are on top of his care! They know our dog, our first names and our family. They simply CARE and they GO the EXTRA "PAW" lol. I could never ever ever imagine taking my doggie ANYWHERE ELSE-ever! Thank you GVPH for caring about my ELVIS as much as we do and for always taking the time out to help us with all his needs!

We have never had a bad experience at Glenwood Village Pet Hospital! Our dog, Tucker, is large (104 pounds) and active! His tail wags non-stop when he realizes we are approaching the doctors office. When we arrive everyone welcomes Tucker and the care they provide is outstanding. We have been patrons since we adopted Tucker back in March of 2008. The staff is wonderful and the doctors are thorough and caring. Tucker has spent many "overnights" at the vets when we need overnight care. Each and every time the experience has been wonderful. When we pick him up, we receive a report on how he did with his stay. It is very comforting to know that he is well cared for and in a safe environment. I would recommend Glenwood Village Pet Hospital to anyone with a pet.

I never write reviews for places because I honestly dont care much for it, but Glenwood Village Pet Hospital is one and quite possibly my only exception. This fall I took my lizard there and sadly had to put him down due to his old age. All of the doctors and staff were very comforting and caring during this rough time. They even gave me a ceramic cast mold of his claw prints free of charge. A few weeks later I received a letter in the mail and it was a sympathy card for the loss of my lizard signed by the whole staff. Never has any business done anything so thoughtful for me. I thank Glenwood Village Pet Hospital and all of their amazing staff for helping me and my lizard out during the darkest of times. I recommend this facility to anyone within the area.

Our Vet weve gone to for thirty years has left the practice. We inquired with all the dog owners we know and we researched all the recommendations. GVPH came up the best for us and our new pup Brett. Being closer to our home was a plus, but when we had to visit GVPH we were blown away by the people that work there. The Staff was MORE than friendly and helpful and Doctor Herda and her assistant were excellent! The wait for the visit was very reasonable and Doctor Herda took her time to address all of our questions, concerns and her recommendations for the future care of the new pup. ALSO, Whoever did the layout for the building was a Genius. A separate dog and cat side and a separate exit was brilliant! We cannot be happier with our choice of GVPH!

I have ferrets and rescue and Glenwood Village Pet Hospital genuinely care about your fuzzies. I can call anytime and ask questions or make rescue appointments. They are super about accommodating me. They will squeeze in new rescues that come in to get them evaluated right away. They will wait around for me in emergencies as I drive almost an hour to come here and when a ferret needs help they need it immediately. The doctors or office will call and check up on their patients. As Ive said I drive almost an hour and I have 2 vets in my area (within 5 minutes) that can see my ferrets but there is no one I trust more than the caring hands of Dr. Parr.
