This is a very nice urgent care, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the medical care was quick and handled well. The problem is the billing. If you have a copay for urgent care, check with your insurance company. This facility bills for the medical care and separately as the hospital for facility use, solely for the purpose of joint commission accreditation. My $100 copay only applied to the medical care, and I had another $344 in coinsurance for the facilities charge. This was not revealed at the time of the appointment. If it was billed together, as it used to be, I would have only payed the $100 copay. According to their "pride line" the hospital stated they know patients have to pay twice, but theres nothing they can do about it. The insurance company says they know its the same visit at the same facility, but theres nothing they can do about it. Its been escalated for further review, but no resolution so far. Buyer Beware.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Similar to the other comments. You will be charged as if you were seen in an Emergency Room. Ive spoken to my insurance as well as tried several people in customer service for Edwards Elmhurst and got nowhere. My son was seen twice for a cold/flu thinking wed have less than $100 bill each time. They are now saying we owe $785 for the first visit and $585 for the second visit. AGAIN DO NOT GO HERE!

I was in an out of entire process in approximately 12 minutes. Doc saw me for less than 3. He said I had "pink eye and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. My bill was $954!! Insurance adjusted $314 leaving me with a balance of $640 for less than 3 minutes of doctor time. Unless you dont care about money, go somewhere else. It is the definition of the problem with healthcare. I

BEWARE! NEVER GO HERE. I went for a sore throat/sinus infection. In and out in 15 minutes, left with a prescription. The resulting bill: $1,021.00, and it is not a mistake - I called. $397 in "immediate care", $67 in "lab fees", and $557 in "professional fees". Unbelievable. Would have been cheaper to go to the ER. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I take my son here to visit his doctor. Dr. Uribe is wonderful with him and the staff always welcoming. She has been his doctor for 7 yrs now.
