First VA appointment. I now see what the fuss is about. Never in my life have I met a more arrogant, incompetent and rude staff and doctor. Every other doctor is doing it wrong according to them, but they dont have any new ways to fix things, just that we are seeking the wrong treatment and Im on the wrong medication. What we have in place, and solutions we have found over the last 3 years cat be right. He didnt offer any thing better, or different, only that what we have found to work is wrong. How does the VA hire a doctor with zero knowledge of the army. He asked how I got hurt and I had to explain what a deployment was..... Thank God I have Tricare for life. Ill be going to regular doctor. If you think Army doctors are clowns, wait till you meet these guys.

The phone extension to the clinic does not work properly so it is quite difficult to speak with a human representative, let alone make an appointment. Also, based on my experiences, referrals often get lost in the system or are not communicated properly from the PCM and I have to call my PCM to resend them or make new appointments to ask for another referral for the same issue months later - when the phone system doesnt hang up on me and someone from the office can actually answer. I definitely understand that there are few administrative/clerical employees compared to the volume of patients, but there are almost always ways to improve. That all being said, I do think some of the professionals there work very hard to help patients.

The front desk staff tend to be pretty rude. Kiosks were implemented, so I guess they feel the need to bark away anyone who steps to the glass, even after being told to by the doctor. Other than that all experiences with the VA have been incredible.
