I continue to be surprised at the awesome care my cats get at Wheatland. I have 3 cats, and my luck is that they all have some sort of issue: diabetes, cancer, chronic “potty” issues... I think one of the best things about this place is that they don’t try to push unnecessary tests and procedures. As pet owners, I feel we are often taken advantage of because most of us will do anything a professional/expert says if it means our pets are comfortable and healthy. I actually trust these guys and if I tell them that something sounds too expensive, they are always willing to work with me to find an alternative while keeping my cat’s health the priority. Most recently, my oldest cat was found to have a tumor on his front arm and the limb had to be removed. The care they gave him was amazing. Everyone was so helpful and answered all of my many questions. They reassured me that he would bounce-back from the surgery quicker than I thought and he did. They saved his life and I wasnt bullied or pressured into making the decision to move forward with the surgery. Instead they laid out all of the options and were supportive of whatever decision I made. Bottom line: if you are like me and have had experience at many vet offices, you have seen the difference between the guys that are just in it to make money and the good guys. These are the good guys.

Weve lived in Roscoe Village for a number of years, but were disappointed with the Roscoe Village Animal Hospitals customer service and difficulty getting in for appointments. After hearing about how amazing Wheatland Animal Hospital was, we decided to make the drive out to Naperville for her next appointment. We were not disappointed! The front office staff was welcoming and friendly. Dr. Chris Dupuis helped to calm our dogs anxiety about being at the vet, and it was a really positive visit. The next year, our dog suffered a torn ACL and meniscus. We were concerned about the entire process, but Dr. Dupuis made us feel at ease, explained the surgery in full detail, and helped us with her rehabilitation. She made a tremendous recovery. After her other ACL partially tore two years later (which is very common), Dr. Dupuis was able to mend her leg, help us rehabilitate, and she was back to her old self within a matter of months. Now that she is nine, hes helped us continue to keep her healthy and happy. She can still run, jump, play in the dog park, and enjoy a really great quality of life. Our dog is like our child- we would not trust her care with just anyone. We feel extremely comfortable taking her to Wheatland and know that she is in the absolute best care with Dr. Dupuis. We couldnt be happier with Wheatland!

I did not even make it to this vet. I live in the area and was looking for a new vet. I am very picky about my vets because I am very particular about what my dogs eat. This place basically told me that they were not the place for me because I refuse to feed a prescription diet or give my dog steroids for allergies. I have gone to vets where this isnt their standard practice , but understand my wishes and will work with me. I asked for a quote on the allergy blood test, but did not get it. It makes more sense in my mind to figure out what the dog is allergic to with one test rather than subjecting the dog to what could be months of food tests and never really finding out the answer. Steroids and other meds are a bandage not a solution. I have owned a dog with allergies before, I am a certified dog trainer, and a big advocate for natural and/or raw diets. I am not new to this and did not appreciate being treated like an idiot, when in reality it is this vets office that is sorely miss informed and just out to take my money. This vet was very clear that they knew nothing about nutrition and was perfectly fine pumping my dog full of chemicals that arent going to solve the problem. I am glad I am not going here and I suggest if your dog has allergies you do your research and not go either!

My family has been taking our pets to Wheatland for years and have no reason to go anywhere else. The staff is friendly and accommodating, especially for cats who (if they are anything like mine) tend to get a little freaked out in vet office waiting rooms. Ive never had a hard time getting an appointment, and Ive never waited for a room upon arrival. The veterinarians are obviously well-versed and up-to-date on current practices. If there is a new procedure or diet that may help your pet, they will most certainly know about it - I have had first hand experience in both instances. And probably most important, they take the time to listen to your questions and concerns and you never feel like you are being rushed out the door so they can move onto the next client. Whether there under normal or unexpected circumstances, I have always been confident that my pets are getting the best care when I take them to Wheatland. I have consistently recommended them to friends, so it makes sense to recommend them to the public here, too!

After a series of uneven (or sometimes flat out terrible) experiences with other vet practices in the area, a friend referred me to Wheatland Animal Hospital. Greatest thing that could have happened. Not only did I find out that my dog had been wrongly diagnosed, I found out that the treatment was far less costly than another practice had suggested. That was more than 10 years ago, and I continue to be thrilled with the care, professionalism, and concern for both animals and their families on the part of every vet Ive seen. Ive referred several friends, and they have had the same experience. Everyone Ive come in contact with at Wheatland is knowledgeable, helpful, and supremely capable. I live in the city, and making the trip out to Naperville is well worth the drive out. Once youve met their team, youll feel the same.

We are new to Naperville and had an accident with one of my dogs breaking through a window trying to chase a squirrel. He was bleeding from his front paws and I couldnt tell if glass was stuck in there. We didnt have an established vet in the area yet but I called wheatland and told them the story. They told me to come right over and theyd fit me into their schedule even though they had a busy morning. I was so grateful that they were willing to do this for us. Our Doctor and the entire staff were so accommodating and so friendly and I cant thank them enough for their help. We will absolutely be sticking with Wheatland for our future veterinary needs while we live here in Naperville

I was referred to Wheatland from a friend in the city where he said amazing things about this vet clinic. He was spot on. The friendly service, affordable prices and the care that each doctor, technician and assistant show for the animals is truly amazing. Ive taken my pet there for three years now and still impressed with the care she receives. Dr. Chris Dupuis has done a great job with my dogs two surgeries. Its great to still see her run in park after everything shes been through. I cant thank you enough Dr. Dupuis for your wonderful care for my dog!
