My family has been taking our animals (cats and dogs) to Shorewood Animal Hospital for over 25 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The vets not only take their time with you and your animal making sure to answer questions and explain diagnosis or alternative treatments but they also treat your animals with respect. Every friend who I have referred to this facility has been impressed including a friend with a registered therapy dog rottweiler who had a bad experience at another large animal hospital on Rt 59 when they insisted that his dog had to be taking away from him to the back of the facility behind closed doors in order to administer a simple rabies shot. After visiting Shorewood he said he would never go to another vet as not only did they treat him and his dog with kindness and respect but the vet was able to correctly diagnose a skin ailment his dog had been struggling with for 2 years (after seeing 3 other vets at various facilities and undergoing numerous types of treatments) and his dog was cured of the skin condition in 2 weeks. Overall, a very nice and knowledgeable staff and an all around wonderful vet experience.

I have a German-shorthaired pointer and he is our pride and joy. I have taken him to various vets in Illinois and I have never found one that treated him with the same regard as we do until we went to the Shorewood Animal Hospital. I have had vets muzzle him and push him around like a piece of meat without even trying to connect to him because of his size, but that was not the case here. The vet talked to him in a kind tone and touched him like we would to comfort him before doing any kind of examination. Other vets would intimidate him to the point that he would be squeeling like he was being tortured, but at this place, he is at ease and doesnt seem to mind being probed by the doctor. Also, their prices are very reasonable and the vet really listens to your concerns. If you care for your pet as much as we do, than I highly suggest checking them out.

I have been going to Shorewood Animal Hospital since 1996. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I love the the doctors here, especially Dr. Ken Overmyer. He has gone above and beyond for me. He is very patient, warm and caring and never rushes me. He will listen to all your concerns and takes his time answering everyone question. I will never forget the time I had to say my final goodbye to one of my fur babies and there was no open appointments available. Dr. Ken made it a point to make time for me in between his schedule to let me come in and didnt rush me and was very empathetic. For many reasons but especially because of that day, I will always be loyal to him and I will never go anywhere else.

I have been taking my animals to Shorewood Animal Hospital for years. They have always treated me and my animals with the utmost respect. When I needed to put one of my dogs down unexpectedly, the doctor even cleared his schedule to come to my house and give relief to my pet. Ive also used their boarding services, and have always been very pleased when I picked up my happy pet.

Weve been bringing our cats here to see Dr Robinson for a few years now. Dr Robinson is fantastic! He patient, answers all of my questions, and takes time to figure things out and explain things when needed. Weve boarded one of our cats with them when she needed antibiotics and we were going to be out of town - no complaints with the process or price.

They are wonderful and caring doctors. I put my baby down after 17 wonderful years. She was sicker than I knew and Dr. Robinson helped me realize it was the best decision. I cry every time I think of my Diamond but she was loved and treated with care and respect from Shorewood Animal Hospital staff. Thank you Dr. Robinson!
