I have a 10 mo old daughter that is sick. We had an apt with Dr Hamilton and I am just very dissapointed in how that went through. I have been visiting the Plainfield office for years now, I met a lot of doctors which were ok, but my experience with this particular doctor I thought I should share. All the pediatricians I have seen till now had some way of dealing with a sick child, singing, a game, a toy. Dr Hamilton had none, nothing to distract her, she was not gentle at all, she looked to have no empathy. But if this is not enough I left the office not knowing what makes my daughter sick. I quote: "I see some ulcers in your daughters throat, or at least what I think they are ulcers", this after I asked her to look in her throat . One of her ears looks read , but it might be from crying. Still she prescribes antibiotics. Besides the fact that she is sick, this experience put my daughter in a worse mood than before due to her way of doing the check up and on top of this I really doubt her knowledge in this field at this point. I am actually thinking to go to another doctor because after a visit to this doctor I have no idea why is my daughter sick ,.

I couldnt be more disappointed. My daughter is 16 months old and I had to switch to this office for insurense purposes. My daughter has insurense through the state. I made an appointment for her because I was conserved about hair loss. Her past Doctor (who has always been so amazing) said she didnt have to have another check up until 18 months. So of course Im not expecting to get her any type of vaccinations until she is of that age. She saw Dr Hamilton today and her only concern was trying to poke my daughter with as many needles as she can. I am not against vaccinations but I like to my research before I just let anyone inject my daughter with them! When I told her I would like to wait for her 18 months visit she seemed to get irritated. And kept trying to push these vaccines on me. It seemed more like a sales pitch to me. She wasnt really friendly. She focused more on the shots than the reason I had brought my child there in the first place. It felt like since Im a young mother and have state insurance she was trying to take advantage of me. Deffinatly not bringing my daughter back.
