Never bring your pet here. Go elsewhere. Animal hospital at the crossing is much better. Dr. McElroy did not even give my puppy a chance. I brought him in because he had diarrhea for 2 days. She told me they do not have the tools to test for what he has and suggested I take him to AEC. When I got to AEC they told me to take him back during the day to VCA. I believe the two are working together to increase how much money they can take from people. After taking him to AEC, the following day McElroy called and said that I should euthanize my puppy. When she saw him, he was running around and licking her. So I dont think that was reason to put down a puppy. She also would not tell me cheaper methods to save my puppys life. I do not have a lot of money and the $2000-$5000 in hospital fees is just something I cannot afford. Go elsewhere.

The anonymous reviewer is nuts. The VCA team in Champaign is AWESOME. For years they cared for our three dogs and I could not be more pleased! Dust, Spoerer, and Rhodes are caring, thoughtful, well-informed, and up-to-date on current research and its applications to real-life situations. One thing: Should the VCA team refer you to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Illinois, ask for another referral. I support the vet teaching mission for obvious reasons, but I would never EVER again put my pets life-threatening health matters in their hands.
