Not much of a real doctor/health center, but it isnt useless. Setting up appointments isnt difficult and getting things filled out for them is easy. If youve never been, they have a fairly new check-in system where you just put your name in and what your reason for going is. If youre smart and dont go when its packed, you should be called up to the front desk to get things set up in a short time. You need a student ID and just contact info for the most part. After waiting in the waiting area for a bit, a nurse will have your height and weight taken and will then have you go into a room to talk to you. Theyll ask why youre there and what you need. They help anywhere from the common cold to mental health and womens health problems. Im not a woman so I cant really comment on how their womens health area (on the second floor I believe) is but Ive never heard anything bad. In my past experiences of going, Ive gotten nurses or doctors that ask a lot of questions to help figure things out for you. Often you can get prescribed different medicines quickly and see how they effect you, hopefully helping you. If you dont have minor problems, they will set up a check-up appointment to see how new medications or in general how youre doing. The staff is respectful and Ive never had a bad experience there. Ive gone on several occasions from small to big problems. Even if the problems dont get 100% solved, its not a waste of time; as it appears many of these google raters are complaining about. More than likely these people rating 1 stars are rude, snobby people that expect to have miracles worked on them to be healthy in minutes. If an on-campus health center isnt good enough for you, have your mommy or daddy pay for a more professional place.

Went to the health center because I woke up with muffed hearing. Went in and was told my tonsils we swollen and that my ears were a little red. My doctor told me she did not know what was wrong but they prescribed me nasal spry and mucinex d. I was told if anything gets worse or it doesnt work to come back... I went to the the urgent care center in muncie to actually be treated for my infection (which swollen tonsils are a sign of) Staff was not very polite and talks down to students. I personally do not recommend the health center.

Ive gone multiple times, mostly for small things like a flu shot, TB test, and general cold but every time I have gone, I was treated respectfully, diagnosed correctly and didnt have to wait long. I love that they have appointments now and after your first visit they have all your info on file so your wait is even shorter! I would definitely recommend going to the health center for "little" things, especially since it is conveniently located on campus!

Terrible. Do not waste your time. While nursing staff is great, getting to them is not worth the pain. Front desk is rude, have no people skills. This is a service job. They act like they are doing you a favor. And I was Extremely friendly and went out of my way to be nice. I never could get a smile out of anyone at the reception desk or not be treated rude.

We call it the Death Center here at BSU. Theyre horrible. I had strep throat that went untreated for a whole month because they kept telling me it was allergies. I went to an outside doctor and she diagnosed me in under a minute. She could actually SEE the strep colonies on my throat. Its free if youre a student and you definitely get what you pay for.

Told me they do physicals for certain things, but when I said it was in order to get a visa to study abroad - through a ball state program- they said no. Its for a school program, how could you deny my service?

Staff was nice and the provider was really polite and helpful. People only complain about the health center because its really busy and people dont understand you dont need antibiotics for everything.

While the nursing staff is always great, the people at the pharmacy counter are just plain RUDE! I went in and had a couple of questions regarding my prescription I have never been treated so poorly!
