I had a visit a for a routine cleaning a couple months ago. I was there for 2 and a half hours. I was taken back to the chair pretty quickly, the dental assistant was great. The doctor took that long to show up. Again, this was just for a regular cleaning. Then last night I had another appointment. I was supposed to get 3 small cavities filled on one side of my mouth. I was there for 2 hours. Again, was taken back pretty quickly. My dental assistant, Loghyn, was great. Took a little while for the dentist to come in. I didnt want to be numbed if I didnt have to so we discussed that route and then she said to the assistant "This is normally when Id numb her and then wait for it to kick in" and then she disappeared. I didnt time it but it was way too long to be waiting again. So she finally comes back, decides one cavity just needed polished, not filled. Then one of them wasnt deep enough to be filled either. She drilled on the one that did and disappeared. By that point I had been there for an hour and a half. I had wanted to get all the cavities taken care of while I was there which is why I didnt want to be numbed since that would require both sides of my mouth to be numbed. I figured since she was skipping 2 on the right we should be able to get the rest done then. Well I was sitting there for a while with a hole in the side of my tooth and she finally comes back and I tell her we should be able to do them all then if shes deciding not to do the other 2 and she said there isnt time. I told her there was time when I got here and her response was "Well, things happen." I have to reiterate, Loghyn and the office staff are great! But the dentists need to get it together. Those 2 visits were with 2 different doctors. I have another appointment next week to hopefully finish my fillings. Heres to hoping I dont have another 2 to 3 hour visit!

The staff was wonderful. However I had to give one star because of a procedure I was charged for but did not receive. I was charged $600 for a root plaining that was not done. The lady who did the procedure was with me about 15 minutes and scraped some tarter off my teeth. Because I have had the procedure done a few times I knew what to expect. I told the office and they took x rays and determined I had not had the procedure done. They also mentioned it was not the first time this had happened with this lady. They were very nice and said they would take the cost off my bill. I had financed my dental work and kept checking my statement to make sure the amount was removed. It has been four months now and I am still trying to get this taken off my bill. I called the office again and they told me they would take it off again. I also contacted the finance company and was told that there has never been a request to make the change with the finance company and I will have to go through another process to dispute the charge which will take another 60 days. Its just not worth the aggravation to go to this dental office. Make sure you are actually getting what you pay for. If I hadnt had this procedure done before and knew what to expect, I would have been out $600. Also, if they had complaints about this lady from other patients, why continue to let her do this!

The first visit I made to Aspen Dental in Florence on January 26, was a bit concerning. My appointment was at 4:00p.m. . Patients came in following my appointment time and were taken back. After waiting for approximately 45 minutes, I went up and asked the receptionist how much longer it would be. She responded that it should only be a few more minutes. I continued to wait approximately 30 minutes, wondering if I should just leave. I was finally taken back and had to continue to wait, following x-rays, in the chair for approximately 20 minutes. The second visit on February 1st at 9:00 a.m. was better, and I was promptly taken back. The third visit on February 8 at 10:30, was once again very lengthy. I again had to wait approximately 45-60 minutes. When I was finally taken back, I sat in the chair for approximately 30 minutes before seen. This visit was one which should have only taken a matter of minutes, since it was to try in a wax mold. My next appointment for extracting 7 teeth and placing in lower dentures is Monday, February 15th at 10:00. I can only hope that I do NOT have to wait a lengthy amount of time to have this procedure done. Since I have already paid for this treatment, and I try to be a patient person, I will continue at Aspen, however, I am not convinced that I would recommend Aspen to others.

I am absolutely terrified of dentist. I have been since I was a little girl. And because of life and things happen I hadnt been in a good while .....until I couldnt not go any longer. So I made an appointment and with great stress and anxiety I went for my first visit. The staff was awesome and very welcoming! I made sure they were aware of my nervousness and fear of dentist and why and they reassured me I was going to be fine. And they were right! I had to have more work than I had hoped. But it had to be done. So we made a plan and set appointments to get it all finished by the end of the year (insurance)! My part of the cost after insurance was more than I could do at once so they worked with me and allowed me to pay per visit! No dentist I had EVER been to had allowed that! The dentists, dental hygienist, dental assistants and the whole staff have been awesome and they made all my appointments relaxing and with no fear of going! I had my second cleaning yesterday and again....great visit! If you need a dentist, these guys are superb! Thanks girls.....you rock!!!

I DO NOT recommend this office. My first visit I was there for 4 hours. I was told what the dentist could do for me and on the second visit to get the work done it was a different dentist who Im very sorry to say was past retirement. His hands were shaking he disagreed with the original dentists plan of action. The hygienist numbed my upper face so badly my eye was numb. The dentist dropped a piece of equipment on the floor and the dental assistant tried to put it back in my mouth without even wiping it off. The work the dentist did hurt badly and now the teeth he worked on hurt. They didnt before I went. The dental assistant was watching tv instead paying attention to what the dentist was doing and I had to put my hand up to stop the work because I couldnt breath due to the water she was squirting in my mouth but not suctioning back out. They wanted to remove my sons wisdom teeth that havent grown in yet and arent bothering him for $4000. There was more but Im sure you get the picture.
