I came because my cat had an injury that needed to be looked at. When I called to make my appointment, we were told it would be $35 for the initial visit because of a special deal they had for new patients. The visit alone ended up being $75, so we were lied to about the price which really upset me, especially because I would have never come here if they had told me the real price, and they did nothing to fix it. The bill ended up being $275, which was extremely overpriced for the services provided. I only changed my review because after thinking about it for a few days, the doctor was nice and affectionate towards my cat, but my own vet is really nice and they charge just $20 for the visit. The only reason I came here was because an x-ray was needed. I wish they wouldnt have lied about the price, or they could have actually tried to fix it. Search elsewhere because other places wont charge you this insane amount for the small amount of work done and a tiny bottle of antibiotics. The only good thing I have to say about this place is they were nice, and that is the only reason I have changed my review, although I want others to be warned before choosing to come here!

I disagree with the commenter who suggested that ex-employees have no business posting reviews. They are the people who have seen all of the behind-the-scenes activity at this business and know the good, the bad, and the very ugly. There is a reason why Lexington Hospital for Cats is always hiring. Any office that has to look for an entirely new staff every few weeks to months has to have very serious problems at the forefront. At other veterinary offices in Lexington, you will see the same faces for years, sometimes even decades. That in itself should speak volumes about the way a veterinarian trains, treats, and relates to people. When I take my pet to a doctor, I like to think that they (and I) are more than just dollar signs and/or an inconvenience to the person providing care.

The prices are absolutely ridiculous and she seems so hyper and at times rude to her staff. I took my cat there twice and when I walked in there wasnt any other patients there waiting and she said she didnt know it was going to be such a long visit. Made me feel like I wan an inconvenience and then she said I could go eat while they were waiting on the ultrasound person to arrive and after I got back she said she didnt have time to go over the results and said I could read about them at home. My visit was almost one thousand dollars and yet she didnt have time to discuss things with me.

Wonderful people working there that care about my cats health. However appointments seem to take an unusually long time. I took my cats for their vaccines, which was only 2 shots, and it ended up taking an hour and a half (when they let me into the room it also takes a good 15-20 minutes before someone walks in to weigh the cats). It also takes a long time for them to come up with the bill so I can pay and leave. They also do charge a pretty penny for their treatments. If they were a little more reasonable with pricing and worked a little faster, it would be a perfect facility

The classification of this group as "A Cat-Friendly Practice" is the UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY. The folks who work here look at a hissing, spitting, murderous ball of claws and teeth, and say,"Oh, what lovely fur! Look at that sweet face! Let me pet you. Want a treat?. . . " A more accurate designation would be that they WORSHIP cats. I only wish my own GP -- who is good, and I respect enough to have stayed with for years -- was as knowledgeable as Dr. Alice.
