Not only is this place ridiculously expensive, but the vet we worked with didnt know what he was doing! We took our dog in there when his back leg started shaking. We assumed it was just an injury. The vet just gave him a phsyical exam and said that he couldnt figure out what was wrong with him so he gave him pain meds and sent him on his way. A week or so later the dog wasnt any better so this time we got an x-ray. Very expensive! The x-ray only got his leg, not his back too (you would think a vet would think that his back might have been part of the problem). He says he still cant figure out whats wrong with him and maybe its all in his head because hes 14 and senile. He send him home with steroids. When the dog didnt get better this time, we took him back home to his old vet. His old vet discovered that he had a very large tumor on his spine and was terminal and we had to put him to sleep. We spent close to $600 at Terrell Mill and STILL had to go to another vet to put our dog to sleep. Our dog suffered for many WEEKS because this vet did not know what he was doing. Because of their terrible x-ray, the problem was missed. And the vet tried to act like the dog was fine and that he was just senile. RIDICULOUS! I do NOT recommend this place. We have since gotten a new puppy and are searching for a GOOD vet.

I got a puppy at the beginning of the year. This place didnt seem so bad and with all of the stuff we needed for our puppy, the care plan seemed like the best plan for us. Needless to say, this pet hospital is crazy expensive. I would have thought that the care plan included heartworm medicine and flea guards and whatnot, too, but it doesnt. That being said, everyone there loves my dog and they are very sweet and gentle with her. They also explain things very well to me. Heres why I dont give this place more stars: in the end it seems like they mostly care about making money. My puppy has a parasite and the first time we gave her the medicine they prescribed she got sick. They said she still tested positive for said parasite, and despite me telling them how the medicine affected her, the prescribed her more, and for longer. Yesterday she started having massive diarrhea and some vomiting. We called up to VCA and they said theyd have Dr. Marshall call us back this morning. Today, my dog is still having diarrhea, vomiting, is just sleeping, has a fever, and wont eat or drink much of anything. No call. So I called back this morning and they again, said theyd have Dr, Marshall in about half an hour. Ive been waiting for three hours. So, thanks for that VCA... Not!

I have used TMAH for about 8 years. I have a 10 # sweet little dust mop. The prices are over the top, but I paid them, because they are so close to where I live. Last year I was told my dog had anal gland cancer and was referred to a surgical center to have it removed. I took her to the center and was quoted $1500 to have it removed. I was told there was a rather large chance my dog would be incontinent. I am a health care provider and was talking to a patient who works in a Animal Clinic in Buckhead. She told me they did the surgery in their office and the cost was half what I had been quoted .Cost was not the big issue, her quality of life is. I took my dog in to the clinic in Buckhead and was asked if her anal gland had been biopsied, which she hadnt. It was never suggested at TMAH. They did the biopsy that day. Cost $125. Next day I was notified that MY DOG DID NOT HAVE CANCER, just a small cyst in the anal gland that was infected. A round of antibiotics did the trick. I took her in this year and was told some of the shots she was being given at TMAH where not needed for a inside dog.

Last month our long time friend, a 16 year old dog faded quickly and it was time to put her down. We had been customers at Terrell Mill before, but were not exactly regulars. I called around on a Saturday morning to make arrangements and needless to say various Vets were booked up. The team at Terrell Mill went above and beyond in reaching out to help with the situation. not wanting me and my family to endure any more then necessary. They offered an appointment time that was at the end of their day, right before closing, and stayed late so we would not have to wait through the weekend and have her suffer more. They dimmed the lights and were all very somber and empathetic. They led me through the process with a grace and understanding that shone as a positive in what was otherwise a very difficult day . They even hung out with and put cartoons on for our oldest who is 4 and I did not want to see the actual putting down of our family member. Bottom line - kudos Terrell Mill team, and thank you. Your efforts were very much appreciated.

Service was fine. However, on two separate incidences I was told one price over the phone and then charged more when I was there. Once, I was told that a vaccine would be "around $30" and the visit "should be free", but if it wasnt, I would be told and would be able to decline the service. The vaccine was $49.50 and the visit was $36 and they wouldnt let us decline. The exam lasted less than a minute. When my husband told them what we were told over the phone, the nurse acted like she didnt care. The next visit, we did get the exam free as it was covered by the Humane Society with his rabies vaccine, but I was told the second shot would be $39 on the phone, and it was $49.50. I had called to check on the price and had the lady on the phone repeat it to me twice. Its just not good practice. And its not good for someone who is actually trying to budget. Well be going somewhere else from now on.

I just had the unfortunate experience of having to put my 18 year old cat, Boo, to sleep a couple of days ago and wanted to comment on Terrell Mill Animal Hospital and their staff. I initially chose them because they are close to home and they were recommended by a co-worker. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful and were especially so during this difficult decision. But I wanted to give special thanks to their newest veterinarian, Dr. Marshall. She was so sweet and caring during this difficult time. Her bedside manner is wonderful and you can tell that she really cares about animals. Thank you Dr. Marshall and Terrell Mill Animal Hospital Staff! You really made a difficult time, a lot better.

Terrell Mill is nice, but so expensive! I pay more annually for care of our pet than I do for my husband and I combined. They wanted over $500 for neutering, and each time we take him for a checkup (twice annually), I get charged another $250 each time. We recently boarded him for one night (Saturday to Sunday) and was charged $63 (thats two days fee). When I called for an adjustment in the rate, I was told that since the hospital workers still had to come into the office to take care of the animals, we were charged two days. Needless to say, Terrell Mill has lost a paying customer, and a boarding client. I recommend you look elsewhere for animal care - this place is nice, but not to your wallet.
