Dr. Kevin Chapman is a godsend!!! After watching my 14yo daughter have mental breakdown after mental breakdown while pitching for her fastpitch softball team, I took the measure of taking her to see Dr. Chapman. She implemented almost every tool he provided her, and, she never had another problem. Her mental toughness went through the roof and she became enjoyable to watch. That was 4 years ago! Now, fast forward to this year, and Im coaching a different softball team. When my daughter was seeing Dr. Chapman, he let me sit in on every session, and, once we were all done, he told me to take what Id learned and share it with my team. We have a pitcher who reminds me a lot of my daughter, pre Dr. Chapman. Her body language screams of negativity. Last weekend in Myrtle Beach, I saw that body language, and, between innings as she was coming off the field, I stopped her and talked to her. She aired out what was wrong, and unbeknownst to her, I switched her mental state right there on the spot. She threw a complete game 4 hitter. Another player, who always pulls the ball, started hitting the ball up the middle and to the right side, after I shared with the team what visualization is and how to do it. She swears thats what helped her. At one point I was all but done with coaching, but, now that I know how powerful of an impact that mental toughness has on players, and I know how to provide players a path to become mentally tough, Im loving it more than ever. Its rewarding to see the light go off in a player when they realize what I (through Dr. Chapman) have done for them. Thank you for your selflessness, Dr. Chapman!

I, like every other human, dislike showing the extent of my vulnerability to others. I had suffered from a phobia for my entire life, however, and I know I was going to need to get that fixed somehow. I contacted Dr. Chapmans office via his website, and was surprised to get a prompt response from Dr. Chapman himself. I saw him weekly from August until the holiday season, and was able to enjoy my holidays sans-phobia! Ive never had any issue with the receptionists or anyone else in the office. Honestly, as happy as I am to not need to go in, I miss seeing everyone! Even once when I needed to cancel my appointment a day or two early (I was in the doctors office across the hall with a contagious illness) my husband was able to go in and cancel my appointment, and they were delightful to him and asked about our wedding, his day, etc., and asked him to give me their wishes to feel better. Not once did I ever feel like Dr. Chapman or anyone else there thought any less of me, despite seeing my bad side and my vulnerable moments. Please, if you find yourself suffering from an anxiety disorder, dont let yourself suffer for years like I did. Im free now, and if you can be, too, then I want you to be. Dr. Chapman and his office can get you there. Trust me, my stubborn butt could get better, you surely can!!!

This review isnt so much about Dr Chapman as it is about his receptionist. I am a full time college student who also works forty hours a week and I was in a bad car wreck. I was referred to him by a neurologist for cognitive therapy sessions because I suffered a serious concussion. I called to make an appointment and was literally laughed at by his receptionist. Not only that but she told me that she needed to call me back. Ten minutes later she calls me back and says, "I will need to call you back." Was this a joke? Im not sure but I certainly dont have time for it. I was just following my doctors orders and was both angered and disappointed by the way I was treated. Being someone who did his undergrad in neuroscience and is familiar with the sensitivity that is quintessential to the professionalism of any psychology practice I was shocked especially since he specializes in the treatment of anxiety. I understand Dr Chapman to be a very bright and successful psychologist so hopefully he finds a better receptionist in the future.

Our family will be forever grateful for the expertise and compassion shown by Dr. Kevin Chapman to our college-age son during his recent set of visits with him. Due to our sons repetitive, compulsive thoughts and urges originating from his Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, he was unable to maintain employment, he could not live on his own away from his family, and he exhibited severe social inhibitions. OCD destroyed his daily life. Now, with the "toolkit" and training provided by Dr. Chapman, whenever our sons unreasonable OCD thoughts and fears reoccur he now has a "blueprint" to follow to rid himself of the obsessive contemplations and compulsive actions that used to grip and torture his mind minute by minute. After concluding his sessions with Dr. Chapman, our son now attends the University of Kentucky full-time, lives in his own apartment, and has a myriad of college friends. Dr. Chapman showed our son how to live a dynamic, confident, and exciting life free from OCD tendencies.

My son has suffered from depression and anxieties due to a few health issues. Before meeting Dr. Chapman this time last year he confined himself to his room doing very little outside. Since my son became a patient he now is more active, he uses Dr. Chapmans techniques on a daily basis and actually feels better. As a parent there is nothing more upsetting when your child is in pain, and you cant fix it. I could not be more blessed to have Dr. Chapman working with my son and proud to say that my son is registered for college in the fall. I am forever grateful to not only Dr. Chapman but the entire staff. I recommend if you do need help or assistance you reaching out to Dr. Chapman, My son is proof that he truly can make a difference.

Dr. Chapman is truly doing what God is calling and leading him to do. Hes been a huge part of my life over the last few months. I was confused and in a place where I had no idea what was going on in my life. My anxiety (which I had no idea I had) was out of control. In a few short months I learned valuable techniques and reprogrammed my mind in understanding how to overcome my anxiety and panic. Going through CBT with Dr. Chapman was a wonderful experience and I owe him so much. I have recommended numerous people to him and will continue to do so because he is amazing at what he does.

Dr. Chapman is a compassionate, down-to-earth, and honest professional. He has a gift for helping people - especially athletes - with mental toughness and focus. He is, without question, the go-to guy for anyone who is working to overcome and manage anxiety. Dr. Chapman treats his patients as friends and is genuinely concerned about their well-being. Our family is extremely grateful for Dr. Cs services.

Dr Kevin Chapman is compassionate and caring. I was incredibly grateful for his help and I would never have been able to do what I have without him. He made me feel like I was talking to a friend, not like I was speaking to a psychologist. I will forever be thankful for him. Ive actually referred 3 people to him who I knew and they had great results.
