I dont know why this place has good reviews. My experiences so far havent been good at all. The worst offense was recently when I brought my very sick cat in. She was not eating or drinking, and hiding sitting in one spot, weak, not grooming herself, etc. First of all, she wasnt particularly friendly to them so they put her in a sedation chamber which was expensive. Seems a little drastic as no other vet shes been to has needed to do this. After all that and a $170 bill, they told me they couldnt find anything wrong with her except that she was constipated (which they did nothing to treat...) She only got worse, so eventually we took her to a different vet. They found a swollen kidney, kidney stones, fever, severe constipation, and dehydration. All without putting her in a sedation chamber. They gave her all the medicines she needed and she was back to normal in a few days. And to top it off, THEIR prices were reasonable. This is the second time weve paid way too much money for no real diagnosis. Before this we took our dog to them because he was whining and panting heavily at night. They told us this was allergies... which doesnt fit the pattern of his symptoms at all! Other issues... they had our dog all day and forgot to microchip him as we requested... luckily I asked about it... because we were about to go on vacation and needed him microchipped. That cost me extra time, and was way more expensive than other places. The lady at the desk also seemed really confused last time I went about who I was and which pet was mine, getting mixed up multiple times and asking me (alarming) questions that were actually unrelated to my pet. We wont be going back.

I have been coming to the Animal Hospital for 4 years now. The first 3 years I have brought my 4 cats to them and they are always great. Weve been through many regular checkups, as well as a surgery and an emergency after-hours visit. They are always professional and kind. As of last year we adopted a large dog (an Akita) and they are great with him as well. They are great at calling and sending post cards to remind me of upcoming appointments, which is VERY helpful to me! Even when my husband had to have his childhood dog put down they were understanding, gentle, and sympathetic. This is an all around great vet.

The staff at ANH have exceeded expectations as a quality veterinarian clinic. They have been our dogs go-to vet for many years now and theyve always tried hard to accommodate our hectic schedule. They have busy times and they prioritize incoming emergencies (which is to be expected, and appreciated, Im sure, by those clients), but they always make us feel welcome and they try hard to see us quickly and thoroughly with each visit.

I loveeeeee everything about this place. They took good care of my brutus when we thought he had fractured his hind leg. The staff are very friendly to furbabies and parents!!! We already have a regular vet in lexington but they dont handle urgent care so we had to take our puppy to this place.... and wow.... the care that we received was amazing!!! We ended up paying $59+ and it was definitely well worth it....

Horrible experience, I visited the office and test were ran on my animal and i was charged a really high and unfair amount that i refuse to pay. When i asked why the bill was so high they decide to tell me 4 months LATER that blood work was done... My problem is why were none of the issues discussed with me after the visit?? Highly do not reccommend this place

Extremely friendly staff. Their prices are very reasonable and they didnt try to nickel-and-dime us for unnecessary services. We had our dogs teeth cleaned under anesthesia this week and they did a fantastic job. I felt like they treated my dog like they would one of their own pets. We will be back.

I took my dog in for hot spots. She gets them every fall. Im really happy with the treatment they gave her. They took very good care of my girl, and for a lot less then other vets that have treated her for the same problem. I will bring her back if/when she has any more problems in the future.

We loved our experience there. The staff are all sweet and knowledgeable. They have a genuine concern and care for our dog. They remembered his name from the 2nd time we came. THey are available and will do everything they can to assist you quickly. Highly recommend it!

Lived in Nicholasville for 8 years, drove by this place everyday going to work. Had no idea such a wonderful staff and knowledgeable group of Vets were packed in one building. Our new kitten is healthy as a fiddle! Great place! Great People!
