I have lived in Louisville for 2 years. I have seen a few different vets for my yorkie. I recently adopted a poodle from a rescue group who saved him from a puppy mill. There was a lot of care needed for my poodle. I went to them in February 2012. Dr. Garrity is a very knowledgeable and a sweet lady. I loved the staff! Amanda and Kiley were great! Everyone was extremely helpful and considerate. The cost is average to what you will pay in Louisville, not too high not inexpensive either. I highly recommend Dr. Garrity for your vet check ups, etc. I even contacted them for grooming referrals and they were awesome!

This place is simply awesome. The entire team is just so personable and they treat your pets as if they were their own. I have a new puppy and was incredibly nervous about doing things right so I researched and actually went to another vets office first. Upon that visit...I asked so many questions and the team at the other office was simply not engaging. I was referred to Downtown Animal Hospital and it just feels good when you walk in the door. Oh yea, the personal follow up call is especially considerate. I highly recommend this practice!

My dog had some serious symptoms that required several tests to make the correct diagnosis which Dr. Garrity and the staff performed quickly and professionally. They took the time to listen to my concerns and to minimize the trauma that my dog would have to endure. It is a situation that will require ongoing care but I feel like I am in very good hands and would recommend the hospital to anyone who needs a vet.

Im new to the area and was looking everywhere for a good animal hospital for my 2 cats Mushie and Prince. The staff was super friendly, the place was clean, and there was a pet boutique! They took great care of my animals and their follow up is phenomenal. They are more on the pricey side- but we were happy to pay with the service we received.

While in Louisville to visit my sister our dog swallowed a fish hook walking along the river in downtown. We walked to the nearest vets office which was Downtown Animal Hospital. They were wonderful. We saw a vet immediately. After getting an xray they helped us get to an emergency clinic to have it removed. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Doctor Garrity is great. She is very warm and caring with our boys and new girl. I always feel confident our kids are in good hands at Downtown Animal Hospital. The vet techs are also very wonderful, professional and helpful. The facility is clean . The prices are very reasonable as well. Best place in Louisville for the fur babies : )

Outstanding care from a knowledgeable, friendly and caring doctor and staff. Far superior to other nearby animal clinics. Prices are fair and reasonable -- the cat needs special food and the Downtown Animal Hospital has the lowest price that I can find anywhere.

Dr garrity and her staff are very caring, knowledgeable. It is as though my cat is their only patient. Best vet and staff in louisville. My cat is very comfortable there. Well, as much as he can be for a cat being at a vet!

Fabulous staff! They even stayed open late on a Saturday to accommodate us when an emergency arose. They put our cat at ease and helped to calm us as well. We will definitely be returning.
