Weve been here since 630am for an elective procedure. No one has bothered to come and tell us why its taking so long. At 1030am I finally went to the nurses station and was told that the person in front of us took longer than expected and that we were next. At 1130 I went back to the nurses station to see how much longer etc they informed me again that we were next and the patient ahead of us had just finished. I respectfully said thank you for the info but I am disappointed with the lack of communication between the nurses and the patients. She said "But I just told you what was going on". I said yes maam you did but I had to come ask. Well the nurse just came by and informed us that we infact NOT next and suddenly there is another patient in front of us. We are seriously considering rescheduling this surgery and leaving.

I can contest to the way the staff is, when I was Married to Dr Michael Perkins; they treated me alright;. however once my Marriage dissolve the hospital turned their nose up to me. treated me like "crap" even when I visit a friend as a Patient. The Staff is very nosey, and they lack the HIPA Law. I caught them talking about a Patient, and making fun of the way the family was. This action Occurred on 2 North. Change of C.E.O. The Hospital has gone to hell in a hand basket. I would not take my dead cat to this hospital so stay as far away as possible if you want to come home. I have been in the hospital in the past however I would come home still very sick come to find out it was at times contamiation simply by someone not washing their hands good or not at all

I love this hospital! I had both of my children here and have come in with my children sick a few times as well. They are always polite and helpful. I love that the administration comes around to every room (if youre admitted into the hospital) and gives out their # and checks up on everyone. The nurses are great especially the CNA s. They have always been very accommodating to my needs and making me and my family feel comfortable and respected.

I liked that they had an exceptional pediatrician on staff the night I went with my 9 month old but the nurses were extremely inexperienced when it came to younger children. It took two people to draw blood and two different nurses and six or seven times to get a urine sample from my daughter. I will never go back there with my daughter. Definitely go to Lake Charles if you want to get your younger children treated.

Broke my foot went in 15 minutes before 10 P.M. ( which is closing time)and was told I couldnt come in because they have to do their books so they can leave at 10 and was very disrespectful while telling me I had to leave
