Our dog had an ucky lump above his left eye. The darn thing just kept growing and growing, and he was starting to pick on it, continually opening it up to bleed and re-scab. We were pretty sure (and had had one vet tell us) that it was benign, but we decided we needed to have it removed anyways. But I was scared to go ahead with anything because of his age (13 yrs!) and his super-sensitivity to sedatives and anesthetics!! I was afraid wed lose our boy over a lump! But my husband said we really should get it done, and he felt our boy would make it OK. And thank God we found THE perfect vet - right here in Boothbay, Maine!!!!!!!!!!! Go figure - a million miles from our home in San Diego (we are full-time RVers, which can make issues like this even more of a scary uncertainty and a logistical ordeal)! We found this hospital to be a really nice, new facility, with the nicest, most down to earth, straight forward, smart, competent, look you in the eye, listen to you, understanding vet, and the services were even reasonably priced!!! And the vet, Kjersten Morrison, even sat on the floor with Ouray! First thing. She just plunked herself down their with our boy - I knew I liked her right then and there!!! No vet has EVER done that with us before!!!!!!!!!!! She just didnt mind getting dirty and was going to do whatever it took to put our guy at ease. And when she looked at the lump, everything she said sounded right and made sense to me. She took into consideration all the things we told her and responded with very reassuring answers. We could tell our dog was even more comfortable with her than hes been with most other vets. I would definitely recommend this place and Dr. Morrison!!! I just wish we could take them with us on our travels!!!!! :)

Sadly today we had to unexpectedly help our Daisy Baby (12.5 years young) over the rainbow bridge. I cannot say enough good things about the professionalism, kind and compassionate care they gave Daisy and my family. They were so insightful and knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything and every possible option - which there truly was only one, sadly. Regardless, they gave us time to make plans and be okay with letting her go. They have always been there for us with our animals, but took such good care with Daisy and her family today. They made her comfy and cozy and had treats on hand to give her before her journey. She was ready to go and crossed over ever so peacefully. The loving environment they surrounded us with during the process will always be remembered and cherished. It was as though they were losing their beloved pet too. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you have done for our family in the past and will in the future. We are truly blessed to have your whole team in our community. xx

Our dog received compassionate care, very good medical treatment and we could not have been happier with the veterinarian doctors help with our beloved dog. We had 3 different DVMs and all are fantastic doctors. The front desk staff and techs are terrific as well. Also, their prices are more reasonable than nearby vet offices. We highly recommend this clinic.
