December 8, 2015 To Whom It May Concern, I’m writing to tell you about an experience that my husband and I had with your staff back in the summer. When we brought our dog, Layla, into the office on July 11th, I honestly did not believe that I would be bringing her back home. We adopted Layla in 2001 and she was already a year or two old at the time. Over the past year or so, both her hearing and eyesight had gotten worse. She had a bad heart. She was thinning out in the back. But Layla was still very much a part of our family. She still had spunk. She looked forward to going on walks until she couldn’t anymore. She loved her treats. When we brought Layla to the office in July, things looked grim. She wasn’t eating or drinking properly. She wasn’t even getting up under her own power anymore. It was very upsetting to see her in such a state and I could only imagine how she felt. When Donyeal called us to go back to an exam room and he saw poor Layla lying on the floor on a sheet, he did not hesitate to help. He spoke to her gently and gave her a pet before gingerly picking her up and taking her to the room. It made me feel better to see someone taking as much care with my pet as I would imagine he would treat his own. When he had to take Layla in the back for testing, he didn’t just come back to the room and say ‘she’s in the back and we ran these tests…’ rather, he came in and told us that Layla was resting comfortably and he even cleaned her up because she had an accident on the car ride to the office. Very simply, he made us feel at ease. Dr. Notarangelo examined Lalya with the utmost care and ran some tests. It turned out that Layla had a bad infection. She spoke to us about our options, but it was more than that. She helped us to make an informed decision, not just an emotional one. I knew that she had considered Layla’s age and condition and I truly believe that she helped us make the best possible choice. We opted to try some medication and take Layla home. I’m happy to say that she was right. After a few doses, Layla was back to her old self again. Her appetite returned and she was drinking better. She was even getting around under her own power and eating her treats that she enjoyed so much. For a time, we had our Layla back. Sadly, Layla passed away on August 20th. It was her heart that gave out in the end. Because of the care and compassion of the staff at Everhart’s, we had another month with our beloved dog. She passed away in a place that was familiar, with the family that she loved...and who also loved her. I can not thank your staff enough for the care and compassion that we received not only on that summer day, but every time we visit the office. It’s just one of the many reasons that we entrust our pets’ well-being to Everhart’s, and will continue to do so for as long as we are pet owners. Sincerely, Leah D. Loyal Everhart client for over 25 years

I took my cat for a dental check and I cant be more pleased with the care that Everhart provided for my cat. I highly recommend Dr. Goodman - he is wonderful with my cat and he runs a great hospital. Everhart not only provides excellent care to their patients, they also tend to every detail. For example, after the dental surgery (cat had three teeth extracted), I received a phone call from Everhart the next day to make sure Kittycat is doing fine. They also made a follow-up appointment one week later to make sure the sutures are ok. Dr. Goodman also brought some printouts about dental care for me during the follow-up visit, which include the information about the myth of kibbles and dental health. I am so glad about the updated information Everhart provided - I actually had a young vet in another hospital told me that crunching on kibbles promotes dental health, which is ridiculous. Finally, when I went to checkout, to my surprise, they didnt charge me anything for the follow-up visit. That brings to another great thing about this hospital - their price is really reasonable. Their price is half of what other vets would normally charge. Overall, the whole experience has been wonderful and I recommend this place to anyone who owns a pet.

I used to love this place but I was just going for well visits at the time, nothing serious. I had 2 bad, bad is an understatement, horrible experiences, my cat was diagnosed with diabetes, they just saw me as a money pit, I stopped taking him there, started following tight regulation protocol on my own and my kitty is in remission, has been insulin free for 11 months now! They need to read up on how to properly treat diabetes in cats. Most recently my dog had some very serious symptoms, I took him in and had $600 worth of testing only to be told hes healthy has no clinical symptoms of anything being wrong. I knew something wasnt right, went for a second opinion was referred to a cardiologist and boom my dog has full blown congestive heart failure, how could you not have thought to keep testing till we found out what was wrong? They also NEVER contacted me to see how either of my pets were doing after these situations. My cat missed an appointment, no call, no show and they have never called to see what was going on, nor did the follow up to see if my dog they were so worried about when I brought in, did all the testing and took my money was okay. I would never recommend them to anyone :-(

My neighbors had recommended Everhart to me so when my cat recently suffered from gastritis this was my chance to start a new with a new vet as it was turning out I couldnt go to my former vet without dropping $200 just to walk through the door. Everhart is wonderful!!! I got an appointment for the same day I called, all of the staff, from reception to the vet, were so sweet. The doctor gave me many treatment routes but recommended the most conservative route first with options to reevaluate with Labs and imaging later if need be (wasnt necessary, she was spot on with her treatment and kept costs down for me). The tech took time with me to teach me the best techniques to get medicine into my cat (cause, you know, cats). After an exam, subcutaneous fluids for rehydration, and 3 medications to take home, the total was only $87.00!!! And and and a few days later the veterinarian called to check up on my cat!!! Ive been telling everyone I know with a pet to go to Everheart.
